humble rays is one of bestbrunchspots in melbourne. come here early as the line outside can get pretty long after 11am on weekends. would highly recommend dining inside the gorgeous glow of eggshell blue and mint for the full experience. some of my personal favourites are french toast forever, belly dancing, crab meat scramble and egg benny. portion sizes here reflects chef tinee's goal in making sure everyone leaves well fed and very well priced considering the quality. hats off to the recruiter for always seem to be hiring quality staffs that served us with a smile no matter how busy it gets here.

they serve an amazing asian infused menu and their popular dishes are the egg waffle and scramble egg croissant. we really enjoyed their matcha and hojicha latte here as well

this amazingbrunchlights up the rainy saturday. i ordered the crab meat scramble and my friend had the pulled beef burger. i have to say both of them were so good! the red pepper and the sauce by the side were perfect for chilli lovers. the serving was generous, but i had finished it lol. definitely will be back again!

a must have! the base is a crispy potato rosti that is paired with a savoury chili bacon jam, making it a pleasant change from your regular eggs benny. the yuzu hollandaise especially cuts through the richness that usually weighs down a lot of bennys, which was a pleasant surprise. the only minor downside is that the ginger braised pork belly wasn't as tender as hoped, but that isn't to say it wasn't thick and tasty all the same😋

the umami from creamy garlic miso and muchroom makes this a very unique yet comfortingbrunchdish. though i did wish that the miso flavor was stronger, the flavors were more than sufficient from every other player on the plate. being an alfredo lover, i couldn't help but love this dish and its on the to-eat list for next time we come back!

this place is easily one of the most delightfulbrunchplaces in melbourne. there might be a bit of a wait to get in but it is totally worth it. some of the highlights are the crab meat scramble, pulled pork benny and the skookie, which are delicious and extremely creative. their matcha is also top quality and very authentic. the service is also excellent especially in comparison to many of the other places in melbourne. highly recommend!

came here as a trio, waited for about 10 minutes for a table during busybrunchhours, didn't realise the cafe was spaced out to the back. service was exceptional and the ambience was very trendy, the food was delicious and drinks were up to scratch 😋 looking forward to coming back soon!!

i’ve brought family and friends here many times, recommend to friends who were visiting melbourne and every single one of them loved their duck congee and crab meat scramble!

their food quality is superb, very consistent and delicious. i can never get sick of brunching here even though i always order the 3 same things!😂 great selection of drinks- my friends and my dad loooove their coffee, but i’m not really a coffee drinker (i know its illegal not to be in melb😭) but hey their hojicha / thai milk tea is really good too! service here is great even though cafe is very busy.

one thing though, they always have a massive queue and i don’t think they take bookings, so get there real early!!!

lovelybrunchcafe in carlton near melbourne uni, is quite big and spacious even with covid restrictions. was seated within about 20 mins in the queue. you can also book online thru their phone number. they have a qr code for covid check in which is a sign they're following the restrictions. waiters and waitress are very friendly and accommodating to us. i had the wagyu burger, it was a bit rich but the burger was cooked medium to my liking. they have some merchandise for sale too like some dog treats, caps and shirts for humans and some masks. lovely atmosphere and deco in the cafe

one of my favbrunchplaces in melbourne. the waffle is to die for. and coffee is amazinggggg. staff is friendly. well prices are the usualbrunchprices but definitely worth the visit and the wait.

always packed and a lovelybrunchspot 😍 for family and friends. crab meat 🦀 scramble is a must try :) as it is one of our family favorites! panna cotta granola 🥞 is beautiful and aesthetic for the instagram feed, wagyu beef burger 🍔 was very filling and the sauce accompanying it was tasty. we also love their skookie desserts and soda pops 🍹 as they are very refreshing after a hot day under the sun. the portion sizes are great and staff are so friendly and nice!

the waiting list is very nicely done as they take down names, numbers and table numbers 📝 with less than 15-20 minutes wait time. staff were professional and skilled in entertaining the customers even on a busy day 👏🏼

review:
i loved humble rays' crispy chicken burger and their lightly toasted buns which brought me to new crunchy dreamy heights. the slaw was also light enough to cut through the heaviness of the fried chicken but the chips were a bit lacklustre...
chilli scrambled eggs were actually spicy and had that burning-in-your mouth sensation. you could also taste the crab through the scramble which was so pleasant and made the dish very interesting!!
my least favourite was the linguini. for us, there was too much cream which became overbearing quite fast. luckily we split between 3 - that it didn't seem too bad. however i could see myself struggling to finish this dish by myself... even when i adore mushroom so much!

service was excellent. friendly faces, and an organisation with covid precautions front and centre. they were also attentive (i was able to flag them down for more water, extra utensils, the bill), which is key when they focussed on table service to limit contact.

with floor to ceiling windows, the interior is gorgeous. with ample space inside (hello 1.5m rule), you really feel as though you get the privacy but around people. let's get back to brunches melbourne!
