bad service. went to hillstone on camelback the hostess a blond young lady was extremely rude.
aredinnerservice was even worstdinnerwas good but not good enough for me to return
this was are first vist.

hillstone gives you full visibility to pretty much their entire operation.  as you can see from the upper photo, you can see right back into the preparation area.  i just stood there afterdinnerfor a few minutes, because it was like watching a show on food channel or travel channel.

absolutely delicious from start to finish! started with the thai tuna roll and grilled artichokes. the center cut filet (10 oz.) was a little overcooked, but still amazing. it was accompanied by a loaded baked potato which i ate skin and all (a little salty). my unexpected surprise was thedinnersalad which was topped with a garlic buttermilk dressing. i am stuffed like a pig and loving every minute of it.

a great choice. five of us haddinnerduring the middle of thedinnerhour and the staff did a terrific job throughout. everybody was well trained to ensure the table was continuously cleared, drinks were filled, the works. we were not restricted to a few staff but it was understood among them that everyone worked for every table. the food was terrific. they even had a stupendous house-made veggie burger. yes, i said veggie burger. the filet salad was tops. the cous cous was the best. if you have not been there yet you're missing a real treat.

good ribeye. i've had the ribeye with terriyaki sauce for lunch before and fordinneras well. it was of a decent size and cooked medium-rare as i requested it. the prices are a bit high given the portion sizes but such is to be expected from a steak house.

it's a nice place to take business clients and the outdoor seating is very pleasant in the evening when the sun is down. the bar is plenty big for an after-work group up area.

do not clear the table before i am finished eathing!. this is the second time this has happened to a party i was with...i was trying to finish mydinnerand the "server" took my plate before i was finished eating. believe me, there were very few people in there so no one was trying to get a table. we weren't drinking...maybe this was the problem. we also got a curt, "goodnight", on the way out.
never again, houston's. do not try to be something you are not! you are just a corporate restaurant!
