next time wigley mansion. i have been there enough times that they should at least smile when you leave. the 2 bartender woman start with a smile but then end with their nose up in the air. i decided to go back again for what i thought maybe the last time. everything going good, she compliments me, a carry a little conversation with a smile, i think maybe i've been too harsh on them, then bamm, the snooty attitude. the management either needs to monitor how they treat their customers or hire new bartenders. they have been there too long and need to move over for someone nicer. and besides earlier this month i went in there around 10am and there was a kid around 10-12 cutting up the lemons with no gloves on. wheres the manager!!

hq is across the street, so expect great service. i've been to a dozen hillstone restaurants - this one was by far the best in terms of service. it felt like this location has a lot of regulars as the bartender knew every one of his customers. great restaurant that i would definitely return to!

food was very good, nice ambiance, and great service. i had the bbq ribs and was not disappointed. however, i didn't realize until i walked in and saw menu that it's the exact same as houstons. not complaining since i like houstons, but why not just call it houstons...??

prime rib with a bone at hillstone

this is a beautiful restaurant. nice ambiance. we were quickly seated and service is fast and efficient. the menu selections offer something for every taste whether you are a meat lover, fish or poultry lover or vegan! our party of 4 ordered fish, poultry salad and the prime rib. every entree and all sides were plentiful and delicious. the only surprising thing was that the prime rib did have a bone as advertised and that's ok... except it was a thick cut and there was a lot of bone and fat. better in my view to have a leaner cut without the bone and fat. less is more especially when you can then consume the whole cut of meat. otherwise an excellent dining experience. plan to spend about 30 to 40 dollars per person.

absolutely great restaurant especially during happy hour. the atmosphere is great and like the sliding doors where there is sand outside. it is a great feel during the summer nights.

nice place. good atmosphere. but not impressed with the $45 "prime" filet. had a nice seasoning and crust, but came out not truly medium rare. closer to medium. tasted like any filet i might buy at the store, average, not like the "prime" they may say. mashed potato was meh. seasonal side of sautéed kale was a good try but not very exciting. disappointing really.

what a treat! we had grilled artichokes ( seasonal appetizer), coconut shrimp sushi, amazing little salad, sea bass, and gulf coast fish sandwich. everything was perfect. the black beans had chocolate, cumin, and agave and were soooo good. we will return!

awesome steak. hillstone is one of the best restaurant in phoenix bar-non. i have been here twice last year and will be back on the 6th of august. i will be bringing someone that has never been here.

no hostess = no seating = no eating. i was looking forward to a late lunch at hillstones on camelback rd. my son and i went in and waited to be seated but no one came up to help us. we waited hoping to see a hostess come up or someone to help us but that didn't happen and my son insisted that we leave and he was correct, we shouldn't have to hunt down someone to help us. it's a shame that this happened on my first visit, i was so looking forward to eating there. my other three sons had eaten there the day before and had enjoyed it and told me how scrumptious their meal was....i'm truly disappointed in my experiance today. it evidently has poor management.

nice surprise. i see that there are mixed reviews so i'll add my two cents.
it was a bit of a disappointment that we could not dine on the patio as it is reserved for sushi or cocktails only.
the restaurant is lovely, but noisy. we were at a cozy table with another couple and we could not hear each other speak.

our waitress was a+. i ordered the kale and chicken salad. a perfect light meal with lots of flavor and wonderful texture. my husband had roasted chicken and vegetables with a side of tabouli. the tabouli was fabulous.

i can only comment on what we've tasted but my sister has been here several times and every meal was a winner.

we'll be back.

great food but horrible @ reception!. the food was great but the reception desk lost my check-in information and then wanted to argue about whether or not i checked in. while i realize they get busy and chaotic, they need to manage this process in a more efficient manner for this caliber of eating establishment. and not bicker with the guest! the food isn't worth it!
