easy being cheesy!. yum..! one of my favorite places in town...no frills, just great, innovative sandwiches..! my champion is the ozark monte cristo...but i'm digging the new hot diggity dogs...especially the "shroom dog" slathered in truffle mustard...ouch! and for those of you with a sweet tea tooth...check out the blueberry pomegranate iced tea...mmmm...how ya gonna get the money..?

stick to grilled cheese!. i ordered a cobb salad. hammonbtree has no idea how to make a cobb salad. they served a huge plate of various kinds of lettuce . . . so much lettuce that i asked the waiter for a bowl. after disposing of the lettuce, i found a lump of turkey (wadded together as if it came from a pre-measured cup), egg slices, a sprinkling of bleu cheese, etc. when asked about my lunch, i (nicely) told the waiter and the cashier what i thought of the salad. rather than give me a certificate for another lunch, the cashier merely said, "i hope you don't hold that against us and give us another chance." for a mostly lettuce $6.75 salad . . . not good pr.

no thanks. i went in here thinking it was gullett's gourmet but it was just a grilled cheese place. i didn't realize there were as many little kids running around nwa as there must be to require a grilled cheese joint. interesting but no thanks.

thank you, grilled cheese gods, for giving us hammontree's.. it's just so good. so, so good. i have particular weaknesses for the brie's company and parmageddon. i can even get over my distaste for wackily named foods to order them enthusiastically. the black bean soup and spinach gorgonzola soup are also delicious. maybe the best lunch i've had on dickson.

better than a "chicago" hodog. we're from chicago lusting after chicago hotdogs. well hammontree's chicago hotdog is totally better than portillos, herms, flucky's, al's, mitch's--all chicago hotdog joints. not to mention the grilled cheese selection and the great beers!!!!! love the people too--very "you-oriented".

updating my review to say- try the salads!. i finally took a break from my love affair with the parmagadeon to try something different. i really enjoyed the chewbacca but was blown away by the quality of the blue cheese dressing on my salad. wow, so fresh, so good!

unique and delicious!. everytime i got to hammontree's, i tell myself to order somethng different but i can't! i am in a gooey romance with the parmaggadeon sandwich! their tomato basil soup is the perfect accompaniment. service is good but the food is excellent. who knew that a grilled cheese sandwich could be elevated to the level of gourmet?

delicious sandwich and hotdogs. i've always loved every sandwich that i've gotten at hammontrees and now that they've added specialty hotdogs to the menu, both of the kinds that i've tried have been great. it's an excellent place to eat that never disappoints.

hungry, but not sure...?. it never fails, when i am hungry and cannot decide what i want to eat a sandwich always sounds good. but not sure what kind of sandwich will satisfy your undecided hunger crave? no longer a problem with chad's uniquely clever concept of a grilled cheese sandwich shop! they have never let me our any my friends and family that eats there. a creative menu with excellent imported and domestic cheeses and the freshet meat cooked and sliced in house. my girlfriend loves their salads, she likes how they are fresher tasting and full of cheese and meat. the salad dressings are made in house and the flavor definitely comes through. best of all 1 dollar miller high life bottles everyday! sit on the patio on a nice day or take it easy inside, sit back listen to some good music or watch tv. don't get to comfortable because the food does not take long. the kitchen and staff all work very hard to provide great customer service and hospitality to their guests. hammontree's is "top notch" food and service....

cheebaca please. i absolutely love this place. i think it is my favorite place in fayetteville. i usually get the white buffalo chicken or the cheabacca. you can't go wrong with either one. i also really like their new location. a fun atmosphere and a lot more space than their last location. if you haven't tried them yet, what are you waiting for? =)

what a concept. hammontree's gourmet grilled cheese sandwich is perfect for people who simply want a great sandwich without resorting to burgers, subs, wraps, and other "deli sandwiches".

their sandwiches are cheesey, rich, and fully customizable. they cater to almost all tastes with many types of cheeses: gouda, brie, goat, colby jack, asiago, just to name some. morever, they also serve soup such as french onion, crawfish bisque(!!), among others.

the prices are very reasonable too. most sandwiches are between $6 to $8 and come with pickles and chips. if you're feeling like having a variety, you can do the half-sandwich with cup of soup for about $7 as well.

they're a very popular place and already need to expand despite being one of the newest restaurants on dickson, which is a testament to the level of demand out there for a well-made grilled cheese sandwich. of course, with the popularity comes the downside: inconsistent service. but thankfully, they're right next to a bookstore that's literally connected to them so you can hop over there, wait for your food, while you read something interesting. the staff will actually come to find you when your food is ready.

as of now, they only deliver to campus faculties at the u of a.

pretty basic sandwiches and soups. just tried this place today. it is set inside a bookstore, which provides an interesting setting. you can drink wine and beer while you book shop, if you're into looking pretentious. they actually do carry some good craft brews though. i had the white buffalo sandwich, which is chicken tossed in buffalo sauce and topped with bleu cheese. it was pretty tasty. the tomato basil soup isn't bad either. it is a very affordable place to get a decent lunch.
