i recently moved away from nwa, so i'm not in the know of the newsest restaurants we have. when i come up to visit my parents, i always want to try the newest places. my best friend told me about "gourmet grilled cheeses" and i just said whoa! boy, was it tasty. for being a lunch time, they were busy but the service was good and we got ourfoodquick. i got the parmagedon. delicious! the marinara that comes with it just tops it off perfectly. i had such a hard time deciding though, everything sounded really good. ingredients were fresh and you could tell it was just made with love. i cannot wait to return!

incredibly deliciousfoodand great service. i have been here several times and have never been disappointed. all of the sandwiches are brilliantly composed so that every ingredient plays well with others. the cocktails are expertly mixed. the waitstaff is witty and informative. the video game gives kids of every age something to do if they get bored with their dining companions or just want to prove they’ve still got it. 😂 i am currently looking to relocate to fayetteville just so that i can frequent this establishment more often.

wow - ozarks hidden cheesy secret - im a big fan of grilled cheese and boutique brew and this place has both. very eclectic crowd and feel. after walking around the district this little gem fits right in and excels. great service from people having fun.foodis top notch & gourmet for what it is. never will you find such art put into a sandwich! everything is top notch and don’t worry about stopping at the bank! ever a college kid can afford to enjoy this on a regular basis. looking around this is no secret to the locals. about whenever you drive by this place is busy. will definitely come back!

everything here is very tasty and good. but there's one sandwich i always get because it has the best flavor of them all. its the pig sooie sandwich. pulled pork and jalapenos on it along with cheese of course. get a side of bbq sauce to go with it. it's incredible!! their salads are very fresh and good. good soups. haven't tried the hot dogs yet. very goodfoodhere! great service too.

amazing!! we happened to go the day of the university of arkansas move in, so it was packed!!! not sure how busy it is on a regular basis, but we had to wait forever for both a table and our food. but once thefoodhit our table, there wasn't a single regret. i had the cheebacca and black been tortilla soup. i'll now dream about both. my husband had the pig sooie. equally amazing. i'd go back in a heartbeat next time we find ourselves in fayetteville.

we thought thefoodwas good, not great, but good. we had the bacon gouda sweet potato fries and they were nice and crispy. dipping sauce was good as well. we tried two different sandwiches and split them. they were both good, our main complaint was a lack of flavor. i think if the sandwiches had a touch more flavor they would have been great. all in all i enjoyed it and would try it again.

fun place & unique offerings. hammontree's is a fun place with a slight alternative feel. it goes well with the jacked up grilled cheese offerings. on nice days you can sit on the outdoor patio. the servers are polite but not overly helpful. it reminds me a little of dinner style service, "yeah, whatta you'll have?" thefoodoffering is fun and worth multiple visits to work through the various styles of grilled cheese. parmageddon is a family favorite with parmigiano-reggiano, prosciutto ham, sauteed mushrooms on parmesan crusted bread. i like the ragin' cajun with grilled andouille sausage, pablano peppers, three-alarm colby jack, house cheese and sauce piquant on jalapeno corn bread. all of the grilled cheese are creative, taste great and cost about $7. huge thumbs up to this place. my only knock is the restaurant is closed on sunday. as a uark parent, saturday is the only day to make a visit. it's always crazy.

nothing special. i've heard plenty of good reviews about hammontrees so my sister and i wanted to try it. we went for an early dinner and we were not greeted when we walked in, many of the servers walked passed us and didn't say anything so we sat ourselves. it took a few minutes to get our menus even though plenty of people walked by us. we finally got waited on, i got the caprese melt, which was so overpowered by the garlic that it was hard to taste anything else. overall i didn't like the service and thefoodwas just okay. i will not be returning here.

thefoodis excellent and so is the atmosphere until you go and pay and deal with the jerk who is usually working the register.

great food, atmosphere; service could improve. i had dinner recently at hammontree's grilled cheese recently on a friday night. thefoodoptions are wonderful - it took us awhile to decide what to order because everything sounded so great. we settled on three sandwiches and a soup for our table to split. two of the three sandwiches (cheebacca? and caprese) were top notch, and the third (monte cristo) was good, but we'd probably do the brie sandwich next time (as we had it at the hammontreefoodtruck in the past). the soup was also very good (spinach gorgonzola). we also ordered coffee, and our server had mentioned she would be making a fresh pot of coffee as they were out. we said that would be fine, but what she later brought out definitely was not fresh. it was clearly microwaved. had we known that there was no fresh coffee (and that they weren't making any more), we would've just ordered something else to drink. ourfoodwas slow to come out, but our server had let us know that they were short-staffed, so we were not overly concerned nor in a hurry with respect to time. what did bother us was our server's attitude. one example - we asked if it was possible to cut our sandwich into fourths or alternatively to bring us a knife so that we could do it ourselves since we would be sharing all three. our server said that wouldn't be possible and later forgot to bring us a knife until we had asked twice.

true love. i love this place! thefoodis always delicious, the staff is always friendly and yea it's kind of pricey for glorified grilled cheese sandwiches, but i don't care. the sandwiches and soup are so good. i've always had great service and never regretted shelling out a few extra bucks for something so tasty!

my wife and i found out about hammontrees last year. we stopped and ate on our way to eureka springs labor day weekend 2011. we liked thefoodand atmosphere so much that we stopped back in on our way home. we will be stopping in again on our trip this year.
