hammontree's grilled cheese

everyone loves cheese. hammontree's offers a great variety of cleverly named sandwiches that showcase cheeses that you won't usually find at asandwichshop. thankyou hammontrees for introducing me to cheeses other than american and chedder.

this used to be a great place to eat but has really gone downhill the last few times i have been here, so much that after my most recent visit i will not return. i was served the wrong sandwich, after i informed our waitress she conveniently "found" my correct sandwich, which was half of asandwich(the other half was burnt with no filling). i was sad to receive such bad quality along with a snarky attitude from our waitress as if it was my fault for pointing out i had received the wrong sandwich.

everything here is very tasty and good. but there's onesandwichi always get because it has the best flavor of them all. its the pig sooie sandwich. pulled pork and jalapenos on it along with cheese of course. get a side of bbq sauce to go with it. it's incredible!! their salads are very fresh and good. good soups. haven't tried the hot dogs yet. very good food here! great service too.

consistent every time, my boys love it.  great cheese sandwiches, funky vibe.  what's not to like?  sweet potato fried are great and the chewbacca is the best cheesesandwichi've ever eaten.

my new favorite restaurant in fayetteville. great service and wonderful food. bestsandwichi have ever had! when we come back to fayetteville we will definitely come here.

this place knows their grilled cheese! for someone who has gluten issues and dairy issues, you would think a grilled cheesesandwichwould not be the answer. think again, gluten free bread with a vegan cheese, wow, the beatnik is my new favoritesandwichfor sure! have a go at it, i know you'll love it! happy eating!

great food, atmosphere; service could improve. i had dinner recently at hammontree's grilled cheese recently on a friday night. the food options are wonderful - it took us awhile to decide what to order because everything sounded so great. we settled on three sandwiches and a soup for our table to split. two of the three sandwiches (cheebacca? and caprese) were top notch, and the third (monte cristo) was good, but we'd probably do the briesandwichnext time (as we had it at the hammontree food truck in the past). the soup was also very good (spinach gorgonzola). we also ordered coffee, and our server had mentioned she would be making a fresh pot of coffee as they were out. we said that would be fine, but what she later brought out definitely was not fresh. it was clearly microwaved. had we known that there was no fresh coffee (and that they weren't making any more), we would've just ordered something else to drink. our food was slow to come out, but our server had let us know that they were short-staffed, so we were not overly concerned nor in a hurry with respect to time. what did bother us was our server's attitude. one example - we asked if it was possible to cut oursandwichinto fourths or alternatively to bring us a knife so that we could do it ourselves since we would be sharing all three. our server said that wouldn't be possible and later forgot to bring us a knife until we had asked twice.

i had a build your ownsandwichwhich consisted roast beef, bacon, gouda, tomato, spinach, and the very very tasty garlic sauce on sour dough bread. but enough with the compliments, the problems with my experience was number one, the price point. for a meal that costs me 17$ the prices are deffinately gouged, for paying that ammount of money i am expecting asandwichthat i can hardly fit my mouth around. but this wasn't the case, it came with probably 3 thin cut slices of roast beef, two bacon strips. and thesandwichreally looked a lot like something i could make 20 of them for 20$, which was really disappointing it was a good sandwich, but nothing to sing praises over. the side of chips that i got were extremely skimpy, i'm talking about 6 measly chips. i left the place with an empty stomache feeling ripped off. i'm not sure i would go back knowing that i can make an equally tastysandwichin the comfort of my home for a fraction of what it costs at ham n trees

love it !. what a great sammy! i've never had such a good grilled cheesesandwichever ! who knew there were so many ways , combos and ingredients . all fresh. great service and a great price. we will be visiting this
terrific little place a lot and we'll bring our friends.

hammontree's for lunch.... again.. yeah, so on me and my girlfriends third trip to hammontree's we brought my mother. it's that good. i had a boulevard pale ale on tap, which was delicious. their beer list is better than most, and the service is great. my girlfriend had the scarlet cheddar with avocado ranch instead of the mayo herb. my mom got the cheebaca, and i got the monte christo. overall everything was good, 9 out of 10. however, i prefer the white buffalo. if you love wings, get this cheesesandwichas fast as you can.

i liked, not loved it. given the high rating maybe i expected more. my wife & son didn't like it. my son had the el chupacabre, which was supposed to have a mexican slant. we all agreed it lacked flavor. i don't believe there was any cilantro in the dish, at the least it needed more. cilantro is a necessity in mexican dishes. my wife had the monte christo. i loved it, but she didn't like the sweet with the savory. that's her own preference & i was in disagreement. give it a shot & see what you think. i had the white buffalo, asandwichpaying homage to wings. it was ok. could've used more heat & a bit less blue cheese. of that all 3 of us agreed. all in all i am willing to try it again , especially since i found narrowing my choice to one sandwich. there's plenty more on the menu i'd like to try. number grade for us would probably be 7 out of 10.

not impressed. i have eaten at this establishment a few times, and was always satisfied. today is a different story. i ordered a side salad, waiter had to go ask actually what the side salad consisted of. basically, some lettuce and 4 bite size tomatoes, with ends still attached. also ordered the monte cristo. i ordered the salad so i would have something to eat upon arrival of my sandwich, didn't happen i waited and waited and he brought the salad with the sandwich. thesandwichhad so much powdered sugar on it i had to wipe it off with a napkin, actually the waiter caught me doing this but asked nothing. food was so, so, but what really bothered me was when i went to the register to pay my bill, the guy said absolutely nothing to me, nothing!!! my lunch was $15 bucks with tip, just not gonna happen again. with so much competition now days, everyone needs to be on top of their game to keep this lunch crowd coming in. i probably will not go back to hammontree's.
remember we patrons decide on where to spend our money.

i could eat at this place every week and not get sick of it! the edemama humas to start out with is a must and then my favorite the scarlet cheddarsandwichto add on! everyone should try!

greatsandwicha real treat! very reasonable price for the quality and amount. our server was very friendly and helpful. fun atmosphere right in the middle of a college goto place.
