hammontree's grilled cheese

everyone loves cheese. hammontree's offers a great variety of cleverly namedsandwichesthat showcase cheeses that you won't usually find at a sandwich shop. thankyou hammontrees for introducing me to cheeses other than american and chedder.

mmm, cheeeeese.... three beautiful words: grilled... cheese... restaurant!! they make grilled cheese, and they do a hell of job! perfectly buttery, crispy bread, ooey gooey cheese inside and tons of other tasty ingredients to choose from. they've come up with some pretty creativesandwichesand put 'em on the menu, or you can build your own from a large selection of cheeses, meats and veggies. my favorite so far has been the rookie (their basic grilled cheese) with fresh mozzarella and prosciutto added in... pretty simple, but very tasty!

incredibly delicious food and great service. i have been here several times and have never been disappointed. all of thesandwichesare brilliantly composed so that every ingredient plays well with others. the cocktails are expertly mixed. the waitstaff is witty and informative. the video game gives kids of every age something to do if they get bored with their dining companions or just want to prove they’ve still got it. 😂 i am currently looking to relocate to fayetteville just so that i can frequent this establishment more often.

we thought the food was good, not great, but good. we had the bacon gouda sweet potato fries and they were nice and crispy. dipping sauce was good as well. we tried two differentsandwichesand split them. they were both good, our main complaint was a lack of flavor. i think if thesandwicheshad a touch more flavor they would have been great. all in all i enjoyed it and would try it again.

i've been to a few specialty grilled cheese restaurants and hammontree's is the best i've had. it's a cool college-town pub setting and all thesandwichesare served with a cherry pepper on top. we had a fried artichoke appetizer which was outstanding. thesandwichesare large, plenty of cheese and the additional items of the selection. i've eaten at a few places in fayetteville, and this is the top of my list that i would return to.

gluten free. do not go here if you have celiac. they toast allsandwicheson the same flattop. they take no precautions against cross contamination. it's a great restaurant, but not if you are gluten sensitive or have celiac.

cheesy.. i didn't know gourmet grilled cheese existed until visiting hammontrees. now i do. neat. every time i go i like to try one of the varioussandwichesand have mostly been satisfied. it may just be my taste, but the majority of the meat-less grilled cheesesandwichesseem to lack any flavors that really jump out at you and often end up bland tasting. thesandwicheswith meat are all great especially in addition to the ever amazing sweet potato fries with their avocado ranch. i highly reccommend the ragin' cajun, monte cristo, or east of edam - the sweet potato fries are a given.

definitely a consistently good joint to visit on dickson.

amazing!!. made our first trip this weekend to fayetteville for a football game. hammontree's was by far our favorite restaurant that we ate at while there...so good that we ended up eating there twice!! i order sweet potato fries everywhere i go and i can honestly say these were the best sweet potato fries that i have ever had! we tried the plain sweet potato fries the first day and they were awesome and the second day we had the ones loaded with gouda and bacon and they were even more awesome! thesandwicheswere wonderful, too, and they had lots of unique combinations. and the service was excellent for the large crowd that they had. the employees were all very friendly to us out-of-towners. if you have to pick one place to eat at while in fayetteville, i would definitely eat here! :)

favorite lunch spot in fayetteville. can't beat the food! the first time i heard "gourmet grilled cheese" i thought "yeah, right..." but they are incredible. they use great breads, great ingredients, and do it right. my fav is probably the el chupacabre, but i have tried all of them and they never disappoint. creativesandwichesthat are serious bang for the buck. don't forget to try the hotdogs too!

first timer. thesandwichesare wonderful and surprising. better than i expected. the crayfish bisque - not so good. lots of ruffle chips and a sliced dill pickle - simple, very simple and good.

great food, atmosphere; service could improve. i had dinner recently at hammontree's grilled cheese recently on a friday night. the food options are wonderful - it took us awhile to decide what to order because everything sounded so great. we settled on threesandwichesand a soup for our table to split. two of the threesandwiches(cheebacca? and caprese) were top notch, and the third (monte cristo) was good, but we'd probably do the brie sandwich next time (as we had it at the hammontree food truck in the past). the soup was also very good (spinach gorgonzola). we also ordered coffee, and our server had mentioned she would be making a fresh pot of coffee as they were out. we said that would be fine, but what she later brought out definitely was not fresh. it was clearly microwaved. had we known that there was no fresh coffee (and that they weren't making any more), we would've just ordered something else to drink. our food was slow to come out, but our server had let us know that they were short-staffed, so we were not overly concerned nor in a hurry with respect to time. what did bother us was our server's attitude. one example - we asked if it was possible to cut our sandwich into fourths or alternatively to bring us a knife so that we could do it ourselves since we would be sharing all three. our server said that wouldn't be possible and later forgot to bring us a knife until we had asked twice.

great comfort food. my hubby and i had the special grilled cheesesandwichesand i also had the french onion soup. soups are homemade but was not impressed. thesandwicheswere awesom though. we had 2 beers in addition and our bill was $24.00 which i thought was reasonable.sandwicheswere really, really good. the parking is horrible though. so crowded in that area depsite us getting there at 5:45. go early!

you couldnt ask for more, best tasting customsandwichesin town. staff is very efficient and provide great service. great location, great product at a great price.
