hammontree's grilled cheese

soooo delicious!. i ordered food from hammontree's through chew's delivery service and was expecting a decent grilled cheese. however, the food here is beyond amazing. i have since ordered food several times and have yet to be disappointed. the ozark monte cristo, the scarlett cheddar, and their soups are just plain awesome. gotta try it - you'll love it!

very good. i have eaten here for lunch a few times and it is very good. i really enjoy the monte cristo sandwich. when the weather is warmer, it is very nice to eat on the patio and enjoy a cold beer.

best lunch in nwa. this place is so amazing. their soups are made fresh and you just can't beat a specialty grilled cheese sandwich. my favorite is the cheebaca, but the scarlet cheddar and the parmageddon are right up there too. they also have crazy good dogs, like the aloha dog. a very cool place that captures the funky vibe of fayetteville perfectly.

cheesy lover's paradise. i may be lactose intolerant. however, this is a cherished temptation to my cheese apprehension. i endure a chalky foul pill, countering the effects cheese has on my system. i may hate the medicine, but anticipate the reward of hammontree's. the menu is almost entirely cheese filled. their approach is to create a new twist on the traditional grilled cheese sandwich. they mix a variety of cheese, meats, breads and veggies, into a flavor spectrum of grilled sandwiches. the ingredients are fresh and delightful. if it's cheese it's there. if you love cheese you're in paradise.

not impressed. i have eaten at this establishment a few times, and was always satisfied. today is a different story. i ordered a side salad, waiter had to go ask actually what the side salad consisted of. basically, some lettuce and 4 bite size tomatoes, with ends still attached. also ordered the monte cristo. i ordered the salad so i would have something to eat upon arrival of my sandwich, didn't happen i waited and waited and he brought the salad with the sandwich. the sandwich had so much powdered sugar on it i had to wipe it off with a napkin, actually the waiter caught me doing this but asked nothing. food was so, so, but what really bothered me was when i went to the register to pay my bill, the guy said absolutely nothing to me, nothing!!! my lunch was $15 bucks with tip, just not gonna happen again. with so much competition now days, everyone needs to be on top of their game to keep this lunch crowd coming in. i probably will not go back to hammontree's.

i could eat at this place every week and not get sick of it! the edemama humas to start out with is a must and then my favorite the scarlet cheddar sandwich to add on! everyone should try!

you must try the blueberry tea!

dinner take-out. the bree's company was really good. apples, figs and bree. highly recommend this one.

the restaurant was extremely loud. our waiter seemed indifferent and/or preoccupied with the usual questions from first-timers. the soup was fair (loaded baked potato and french onion). ozark monte cristo was not what i expected, and frankly had a horrific taste. it is definitely not what was expected from reading the menu. the most frustrating thing about the whole experience, however, was waiting in line to pay your ticket. although there was a sizeable line at the register, there was no one checking the customers out. i spoke with several people in line around me, who said that it is like this everytime.

great sandwich a real treat! very reasonable price for the quality and amount. our server was very friendly and helpful. fun atmosphere right in the middle of a college goto place.

yum!. can't go wrong with hammontrees unless you're crazy and don't love you some yummy grilled cheese and soup! they even have hotdogs. :)

simply the best comfort food around. grilled cheese sandwiches like you've never seen or tasted before plus much more. don't leave town without at least one visit.

addictive!. plainly put, the food is orgasmic. this is my favorite location for lunch in fayetteville, and the first restaurant i recommend to my friends. the service is good, the pricing is friendly to college students, and it's a place to which i'll always return. i've lived in the fayetteville area for years, and was still unaware of this gem, as it's tucked away in an unimposing location adjacent to dickson street. say what you will about the concept of a restaurant based on grilled cheese; hammontree's is an absolutely fantastic place to eat.

cheesy fun. if you hankering for a hunk of cheese this is the place to be. best descibed as a place to curb your exotic cheese cravings with out spending $20 bucks on cheese at the grocery store. good atmosphere, reasonably priced (for grilled cheese?). must try...
