outstanding. great service great food. love this place. crab cakes and tortilla slaw are incredible. pecan crusted trout was perfect.

great bar and patio. excellent happy hour app specials as well. wings are smoked and bursting with flavor. not too hot a robust medium. steak was cooked just right and service was great. good for a date or out with friends

tenderloin salad. the dining area is rather noisy so i usually eat at the tables in the bar area. the tenderloin salad is fantastic but ask for a light amount of dressing as at times i have got it with way too much dressing on it. i also add red oinions. always have excellent service. highly recommended! we usually walk over to frost for some yummy gelato for dessert!

over hype. the cut of meat i ordered, new york strip, was tough. i had to send it back twice to get it cooked the right temperature.

really good happy hour prices on drinks and small plates. i definitely recommend the mahi tacos. but make sure to get the fish done crispy.

dined here last night. the food was excellent and the service was also extremely good (our server was alexandra). the manager (alisa) went above and beyond to make our evening extra memorable and the head chef (ken) also took time to talk to our sons and make them feel special. i strongly recommend firebirds. their food is amazing, it is kid-friendly with one of the best kids menus in town. it is great for a date night and also a night out with the family.

delicious wood fired filet without the chain feel in an upscale, but laid back atmosphere - a staple of the birmingham area. great pastas and a menu with a wide variety of options that will suit most everyone

pretty good restaurant ... went with a party of 24 and most everyone was pretty happy with their orders. the manager gave us some complimentary appetizers to thank us for choosing their business. it’s a little more expensive than your average restaurant but the food is good. will come back again.

loved the atmosphere. twenty minute wait for table. the staff was very friendly and attentive. had the spinach salad and added the crab cake which was a good move. both were very tasty. would go here again.

we had a reservation for dinner at 7:45 on 03/03 and 4169 kristen was absolutely the worst server i have ever encountered anywhere. no greetings, absolutely no smile, an attitude throughout our dining experience as if she was doing us a favor. there are separate pricing for 5 oz and 8 oz wines and although we ordered 5 oz, we were charged for 8 oz. when i pointed this out, i was told again that it was correct only when i insisted, the error was rectified with no apologies.

the food quality was extremely bland as well - cilantro grilled chicken was very stringy and bland along with the pineapple chicken.

also we were given a small booth with a chair in the end with limited and cramped space for 5 people to eat..

so overall it was a disastrous experience from poor bland food, rude server to cramped and uncomfortable seating.

based on this, i would not recommend this restaurant for anyone.

met my daughter and grandson for dinner, my daughters dish was very tasty the chicken cooked perfectly and mashed potatoes cooked in beef broth she said they were excellent. my grandsons mac and cheese was perfect, he wiped it out. my colorado chicken salad was perfect. good lace but, was expensive.

my son took me here for a birthday dinner and i was glad. they specialize in prime rib, and they do it well. had the 12 oz and it was very nice cut of 21 day dry aged beef. the green bean and coconut shrimp are very good also. and the chicken tortilla soup is to die for along with the house made cesar salad.

in town for a customer visit. passed up firebird wood fired grill for cheesecake factory last time in town. the aromatic smell from the grill was beckoning a visit. my goodness, dinner was fantastic. dinner could have been the blt salad alone. prime rib was perfectly seasoned and cooked. my customer had the spinach salad and aged ribeye. both were great! service was wonderful. i will definitely be back to sample other entrees on the menu that caught my eye. very much worth the visit.

my friend and i had dinner on sat night, aug 19.  it is one of our favorite places and usually the serve is top notch. our server, mark o. didn't introduce himself and after delivering our bottle of wine never did come back to see if we were ready to order.  i had to call him over actually.  when our food came out the potatoes were loaded and we wanted butter only.  it was fixed and brought to us, but with no apology at all and finally our server took our charge before we could even see our bill.  it was just not the usual a+ serve that we usually experience.

great experience. the food tasted just the way is supposed to. a $30 rib eye should taste like a $30 rib eye, and this one did. my wife order the couscous (at a steak house, she is weird like that) and i hate to admit that it was delicious, as well as the other sides. i am happy to pay a few extra dollars for this kind of food and service. when in need of fantastic meat and bourbon to fulfill your soulless heart and empty your wallet, this is the place to go.
