over hype. the cut of meat i ordered, new york strip, was tough. i had to send itbacktwice to get it cooked the right temperature.

delicious wood fired filet without the chain feel in an upscale, but laidbackatmosphere - a staple of the birmingham area. great pastas and a menu with a wide variety of options that will suit most everyone

pretty good restaurant ... went with a party of 24 and most everyone was pretty happy with their orders. the manager gave us some complimentary appetizers to thank us for choosing their business. it’s a little more expensive than your average restaurant but the food is good. will comebackagain.

in town for a customer visit. passed up firebird wood fired grill for cheesecake factory last time in town. the aromatic smell from the grill was beckoning a visit. my goodness, dinner was fantastic. dinner could have been the blt salad alone. prime rib was perfectly seasoned and cooked. my customer had the spinach salad and aged ribeye. both were great! service was wonderful. i will definitely bebackto sample other entrees on the menu that caught my eye. very much worth the visit.

my friend and i had dinner on sat night, aug 19.  it is one of our favorite places and usually the serve is top notch. our server, mark o. didn't introduce himself and after delivering our bottle of wine never did comebackto see if we were ready to order.  i had to call him over actually.  when our food came out the potatoes were loaded and we wanted butter only.  it was fixed and brought to us, but with no apology at all and finally our server took our charge before we could even see our bill.  it was just not the usual a+ serve that we usually experience.

i have to admit that this is a burger joint that i go to get their veggie burgers instead of their burgers. i first had the greek burger (lamb), later the crab burger, and lastly the veggie burger. both the greek burger and crab burgers were good, but i was really takenbackby how great the veggie burger was. ever since then, i have only ordered the veggie burger. it's probably the best in its class as i've never had a better veggie burger anywhere else. and it's a bargain for just $8. finally their fries are great, especially their sweet potato fries that come with a side of marshmallow dipping sauce.

what a unique experience. this restaurant might be small but it packs a punch. my first time experiencing a dim sum kind of restaurant. you can order off the menu or you can just select dishes that are presented to your table, it is like the sushi boat. so neat to see the food before selecting it. the service was excellent, very knowledgeable and attentive. the food was delicious. the ones that stood out was the nectarines with cheese and basil oil- this simple fish had complex flavors that wowed the plat and was hands down my favorite. the heirloom toast, duck moose, chard octopus, and salmon tartar are all must haves. can't wait to comebackand try new things!

i personally love firebirds.  the group i was working with and i went there at lunch time.  the atmosphere is gorgeous, we had excellent service, and our food was incredible.  we were in our messy work clothes hot, tired, and looking a fright, but they were still very courteous.  i ordered the southwest burger and it was definitely not like any other burger i've ever had.  i can't wait to gobackand try the salmon or a steak.

my husband and i were in durham this past weekend for the american idol live tour. we had dinner at firebird's on saturday evening. we both agree that the food and the service were exceptional!! "q" was an excellent server/waiter! he took excellent care of us without "smothering" or "bothering" us. if we ever get to durham again, we will definitely  be eating there. hopefully "q" will still be there. also, kudos to the chef (s)!! at home, everywhere i order a filet, i have to send itbackbecause it's never cooked right. happy to say, it came out perfect the first time.

a must have. meal in order of arrival: cucumber martini...ranch rings...cilantro chicken...big daddy chocolate cake. when i tell you, by far the best meal i've had during my business visits to tucson, i mean it! absolutely a must have and i will absolutely bebackagain! p.s: awesome ranch dressing!!

fire birds needs to learn customer service skills!. i used to work here about 2 years ago, i know how amazing the food is from working here and being in customer service for 7 years. obviously the managerment and staff are as immature as the 16 years old host are and on valentines day decide to delete me from the reservation list. i understand if you do not like me, but after the day i quit iam a paying customer i believe the manager has no right to delete me from the list and if so not on valentine's day! i would like for firebirds to e mail me about this serious manner at jboggs913@gmail.com i would call but my job now requres alot of my hours during the day. so please fire birds getbackto me.

not worth the monet.. was there a couple of times when it first opened and it was great. food, service, everything.
went there tonight. a saturday night and sat at the bar. wine was good but over priced. bartenders were more involved with each other's and staff's plans for the evening than there customers. one entree came out 5 minutes before the second. steaks were so so. nothing to write home about or to recommend for a anyone to go out for.
the front of store manager didn't seem to care about any of the customers and the rest of the staff, like a lot of restaurants, like to hang around the bar and talk. makes for a not very nice experience.
so for a $100 bucks for 2. not worth it. won't gobackagain.

excellent customer service. the other evening my husband and i had dinner at a favorite restaurant of ours, firebirds. my husband ordered a new york strip and unfortunately it was a very tough, chewy steak. he did not complain about his meal until the manager, mike warner, appeared at our table to question how our meal was. at that point, my husband shared his dissatisfaction with his steak. mike apologized and offered to fix him another steak which my husband refused, as he had already eaten half of it. mike asked him several times if he could replace the meal. after leaving the table, mike camebackto us and we could tell that mike wanted to correct the mistake and then offered him dessert which we refused. at this point, mike stated that the only way to correct this situation was to take the meal off our bill. of course, we were very satisfied with this decision and then we shared with mike that we appreciated this, as we frequent this restaurant often. we will continue to dine at firebirds and appreciate the outstanding customer service that mike warner displayed that evening.

firebirds durham nc. used to be my fav spot since i moved to nc. last fall they changed their caesar recipe and took what was outstanding down to mediocre, and the filet mignon seems to have lost it's zing as well. wentbacka few times but it was the same, but tonight was the last straw. my partner and i went for supper, thought we'd give it a try one more time. we and ordered the same meal, and at one point chatted with one of our former regular waiters, great guy btw as most servers there are, and we talked about the changes over the salad. had our entree and wine, and went out for a short walk on the promenade there right after. right away i could feel something wasn't right... i've this happen before, albeit once in a blue moon... something in the food had been tainted. we live 5 minutes away, and i made it home in time for a violent reaction. maybe it was something unclean, maybe it was the comment about the changes... and thank god my partner was ok, but a brutal reaction to the food is what i had, and i'll not gobackagain. too bad... used to be amazing.

great service, gross food!. ordered a take out order on saturday night. went in and picked it up. super friendly staff! held a conversation with the bartender while i waited for my food to be ready. was beyond disappointed when i got home and found they had boxed my sweet potato fries and cilantro chicken together. it made the fries completely inedible mush and found two pieces of grit in my chicken. gross! not what i was expecting for my first time visit. might gobackand have a drink since the staff is so nice but wouldn't be able to stomach eating there again!
