i like it, but i don't think it stands up for all of the hype. it is a cute little restaurant on fairmount street, and you won't miss it since there is almost always a line out the door. the one thing that was pretty tasty was the chicken and waffles.  i thought the eggs benedict was okay, i have definitely had better eggs bennys in other brunch spots.

fantastic brunch!!. went with my good friend to try it out and we were wowed. not a crazy big storefront, but once you pass the curtained entrance it was eclectic and hip in decor. the menu had lots of choices, but i always feel like you should try the specialties or dishes named for the restaurant. i got the french toast served with plain yogurt and honey. the server was very sweet, and suggested her favorite way to eat the dish was without the yogurt but with maple syrup. i preferred the plain yogurt for a nice tang instead and finished every bite even though i typically stay away from sweet dishes for breakfast. my friend got an egg dish with the cheddar bread, which had a great presentation and taste, only making us wish the bread tasted more cheesy. the side of meat came out a few minutes later than our dishes, but still was received in a timely manner. they were in no rush to make us move or eat which was nice, but i could see where if the waitress was in the back, you could feel like a neglected guest. in all, fun decor, twists on classic dishes and a place i will definitely bring friends and family back to try.

went to fabergé after flying in on the red eye from calgary. it was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. our server was fantastic. we chatted a bunch and she was attentive and friendly. i went with the breakfast poutine in an attempt to consume as much poutine as possible over the weekend. it was delicious, but a huge serving. i couldn't finish it. my husband had the eggs benny. we loved that it came on a montreal bagel! coffee was great, as was the juice. the interior is pretty big and inviting. i'd definitely go back next time i visit montreal. yum!

my latte tasted horrible. i told the waiter, he made me a new one (which tasted ok but not great) but he took a sip out of the glass that i had tasted... weird and not very hygienic for a restaurant...

faberge. have visited a couple of times. they refuse reservations on weekend so they create a line up / waiting line. food is generally good. went there this weekend and the waiter got my order wrong - forgot ingredients i requested in my omelet. it took 40 minutes to get the order. i decided to not send it back cause i'd have to wait another 40 minutes. the customers around us were not happy about the long wait either. my friend wanted more hot water for her tea but that took 4 requests before getting it. the atmosphere is not calming - as it all a bit too hyper. none the less - the food is good.

fabergé keeps appearing in a lot of montreal food articles when searching about brunch places. so we decided to give it a try. we really wanted to like it. unfortunately, we were not that amazed by the food. we ordered the popular waffle and fried chicken. the chickens were really small pieces, even though we ordered the complete chicken. the belle province plate (waffle and blueberry) were very simple. waffle was a bit too mushy/thick and not crispy (i like it a bit crispy, my preference). bacon on it was the only good part (delicious). coffee drinks are good. service was good and the decor is definitely the highlight.

had a really yummy breakfast here! i was looking forward to having the chicken waffle dish! it was really yummy. i loved that the sauces came on the side (the bbq sauce for the chicken and the maple syrup for the waffles)
i also had the matcha latte
the poutine was really yummy! not too much gravy which was great you can still feel the crispness of the fries. the breakfast crepe was very interesting as well!

trying to decide where to go for brunch in montreal is impossible. okay, okay, that’s a little dramatic, let’s go with extremely difficult. the options are endless and i was getting in a tizzy trying to decide which brunch place to try out. after much debate, we settled on fabergé.

we came on a tuesday and arrived just before 11:00am. there was already a lineup inside (montrealers don’t mess around) but by the time we settled into our seats, the line stretched out the door. crazy. tip: make sure your whole party is there, otherwise they won’t sit you.

the vibe is chic but laid back. love how there were 90’s cartoons playing in the background. talk about nostalgia. even though the place is close quarters, there still is room to breath.

menu is broken down into sweets (crepes, french toast and waffles), benedicts, sandwiches, omelettes and eggs.

- s’mores waffles ($14.00) - holy cow, this was awesome! i thought it would be way too sweet for my liking but everything was well balanced. gooey marshmallows, nice crunch from the graham crackers and a generous dose of nutella.
- le massif ($16.00) - the sides were completely forgettable. i wouldn’t even waste stomach space eating those baked beans, blah. the rest was pretty standard fare and didn’t have me jumping out of my seat like the s’more waffle. i liked the small cup of fruit.

this place is hip and popular. personally, i wouldn’t be willing to wait with a line running out the door but i can see why people would like it.

i wanted to try this place for a while now and today was the day finally. i like the place, the staff is friendly and the service is efficient. the food was very satisfying i ordered "le massif" wich consists of 3 eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, potato, beans, toasts and a french toast...oufff..and i was interested in trying their mac and cheese patties too lol. the menu looks interesting so i will return some other time 👍.

fabergé is an awesome breakfast/brunch resto that just happens to have a chef serve up malaysian food on friday nights (. fabergé has a chill vibe with chill people. it's chill. super chill. you feel like you're in a friend's living room kind of chill. it's white, with drawings on the walls, with white seats and lots of wood. the music that's playing is, wait for it... you guessed it... chill! as soon as you enter, you get hit by an asian wave. you know, that one! that great smelling wave. i could ride that wave all day :p

fabergé is a staple montreal brunch spot with a creative yet classic menu. the restaurant is not very big which can make for a long waiting time especially on sundays, but if you're a patient person it's definitely worth it. the atmosphere is relaxed with eclectic and urban decor making it a unique spot with some great menu options. i had the classic eggs benedict and they were delicious. they also have a cute cocktail menu if you're feeling a little fancier.
