fantastic brunch!!. went with my good friend to try it out and we were wowed. not a crazy big storefront, but once you pass the curtained entrance it was eclectic and hip in decor. the menu had lots of choices, but i always feel like you should try the specialties or dishes named for the restaurant. i got the french toast served with plain yogurt and honey. the server was very sweet, and suggested her favorite way to eat the dish was without the yogurt but with maple syrup. i preferred the plain yogurt for a nice tang instead and finished every bite even though i typically stay away from sweet dishes for breakfast. my friend got an egg dish with the cheddar bread, which had agreatpresentation and taste, only making us wish the bread tasted more cheesy. the side of meat came out a few minutes later than our dishes, but still was received in a timely manner. they were in no rush to make us move or eat which was nice, but i could see where if the waitress was in the back, you could feel like a neglected guest. in all, fun decor, twists on classic dishes and a place i will definitely bring friends and family back to try.

had a really yummy breakfast here! i was looking forward to having the chicken waffle dish! it was really yummy. i loved that the sauces came on the side (the bbq sauce for the chicken and the maple syrup for the waffles)
i also had the matcha latte
the poutine was really yummy! not too much gravy which wasgreatyou can still feel the crispness of the fries. the breakfast crepe was very interesting as well!

fabergé is an awesome breakfast/brunch resto that just happens to have a chef serve up malaysian food on friday nights (. fabergé has a chill vibe with chill people. it's chill. super chill. you feel like you're in a friend's living room kind of chill. it's white, with drawings on the walls, with white seats and lots of wood. the music that's playing is, wait for it... you guessed it... chill! as soon as you enter, you get hit by an asian wave. you know, that one! thatgreatsmelling wave. i could ride that wave all day :p

fabergé is a staple montreal brunch spot with a creative yet classic menu. the restaurant is not very big which can make for a long waiting time especially on sundays, but if you're a patient person it's definitely worth it. the atmosphere is relaxed with eclectic and urban decor making it a unique spot with somegreatmenu options. i had the classic eggs benedict and they were delicious. they also have a cute cocktail menu if you're feeling a little fancier.

it's not the first time i am having brunch at faberge, and every timei do, i getgreatcustomer service and very good and tasty food! the staff is extremely friendly, polite and simply awesome! what is also interesting, is that here you can see all types of customers of different backgrounds and ages- which is agreatsign as well, it shows that it caters to everyone regardless their age and social background! if you want to have a true spirit of plateau- definitely a place to visit!

had agreatbreakfast there this morning, our waitress was very bubbly and welcoming, but their smoothie is what stood out, and the reason of me writing the review. absolutely delish!! you have to appreciate places that keep things on the fresh side, and avoid all the chemicals/color additives, just serving you the real stuff. yumm!

i was really excited to come here after somegreatreviews. it wasn't too busy when we arrived and the four of us got a table at a booth right away. the staff was really friendly which was a nice touch. but overall the food wasn't anything spectacular, i ordered le classique which included toast, a super tiny bowl of fruit, eggs, home fries and sausage. standard breakfast fare but it wasn't the best i'd ever had. the home fries were a little burnt and the texture of the sausage resembled beef jerky. my friend ordered the chicken and waffles and that was actually really good so i do recommend that!

**revised review below my original post**

one of my favorite breakfast places! i will drive across town just to eat here.
the huevos rancheros are awesome and the egg cooked in the cheese bread is also one of my favs.

alwaysgreatservice and i love the cartoons.

wait times tend to be quite long, so going early is best.

i went to fabergé this morning and travelled out of my way across montreal to get there only to find out that they have reduced their menu by a lot and have changed the dishes that are currently on the menu to make room for items like "tofu scramble with spinach, mushrooms, & onions".

the huevos is no longer a meal i would go out of my way to pay 16$ for (the eggs in cheese bread were completely mia), the prices have increased, and the portions served also seem much smaller than before.

their online menu also shows all dishes at 10$ but most are at least 1.5 times that price.

my significant other is a chef so i get that sometimes you need to reduce a menu or change a few things here and there, but this seems to be a very drastic change that completely disappointed me.

i've changed my rating from 5 to 2 and doubt that i will go back again in the future.

as travelers will discover when they first get in the city, montrealers are real breakfast lovers. starting with institution as beauty’s luncheonette, opened since 1942 on mont-royal avenue, brunch has become a real source of inspiration for chefs and cooks: national meals are being reinvented, cultures are mixed and seasonal products are valued. need a bite of montreal’s morning taste? you will find here five excellent addresses to start your day in front of flavorful dishes, surrounded by agreatatmosphere. bon appétit!     1. chez régine located in montreal’s beautiful area rosemont petite-patrie, chez régine’s restaurant will charm you at first sight while you will admire its elegant retro-chic style. even the chairs are pieces of art! what we love most though is the original and creative menu. everything is more than delicious and also, homemade, from the pastries to its bacon. cooks don’t hesitate to mix salty and sweet flavors from local quebec’s products . they use for their r

from what i was able to see with my eyes, they do takegreatcare in presenting their brunch plates. what makes an hour or two comfortable here is the level of care shown by the staff.

yum!. i work in the plateau and was very happy when this restaurant opened in the area. fabergé has been open since july and i've been multiple times.

with it's urban-chic decor, fabergé really embodies montreal's hipster scene. i love all the sketches of the montreal skyline on the concrete walls. the purple velvet banquettes add a slight "chic" element without being too much.finally a breakfast place that doesnt display tacky chickens and cartooned eggs with smily faces!

while i admit that the service was a little shaky right after the opening this summer, i saw the potential and was determined to give this place a chance and i'm very glad i did!

some of the more recent improvements that i've noticed are were that they've reconfigured their lounge area to seat more diners, very smart! it gets real packed in there especially on sunday mornings! the other thing i'm really happy they changed is that they got rid of the dj that used to spin on sundays. while i enjoy loud music just as much as the next girl, it may have been a little much for an early sunday morning, they've now opted for a more mellow soundtrack :)

the quality of food served here is excellent. the fruits are super fresh, my eggs are always perfectly fluffy and the lattes are awesome! the staff isgreattoo, i've never had bad service, they're very smiley and energetic.

my favorite item on fabergé's menu has to be the buttermilk pancakes with strawberry compote (red cakes) probably the best pancakes i've ever had!

the eggs in a nest come in at a close second the cheese bread they use is so yummy!

and lastly- the benedicts! have the medditerranean! the eggs are served on top of a phyllo pastry and topped with spinach and feta cheese, kind of like a greek spinach pie (spanakopita) but ina benedict--genius!

fabergé has become on of my favorite spots in the area and i love bringing new people here, we've all hadgreatexperiences!

keep it up guys!

a refreshing delight.... i takegreatpride in my choice for breakfast in our fine city of montreal. with so many options, it is sometimes hard to filter out the good, the bad and the ugly. after many visits to faberge (from their opening week when i stumbled upon it) up until last week, i have always had a memorable experience. i usually stick to my breakfast staple of 2 egss over, bacon and suasage well-done etc but the ever present local owners convinced me over a mimosa to try their faberge delight which consisted of a cinnamon danish, in french toast batter served with fresh fruits and maple syrup. it was mind-blowing! since then i've rotated from signature dishes to classics and haven't been disappointed yet. i ever heard they are doing good old fashioned pub food with a mdoern twist during habs games! if you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor...it is a unique gem in the montreal breakfast landscape.
