disgusting pasta! good pizza, wont be coming back! and not recommending to friends at all! also whats with the bad customer service!!

good pizza. i have been here several times mostly for pizza. pizzas are excellent, great crusts and toppings. the only fault is it is very noisy and as i have a hearing problem it was difficult for me to hear my husband and friends we moved on elsewhere for sweets and coffee.

yum!. i took the kids and they loved the pizza. the staff are great!

great location on the main street, and close-ish to the beach.
loads of indoor and outdoor seating, the restaurant has a gourmet deli off to the side as well. 
i like the interior design and the feel of the restaurant, like being transported back to italy.

food - the pizza is traditional thin crust style as well, cooked in a wood fired oven. there is plenty of delicious combinations. it does get oily and soggy towards the centre though.
coffee is strong, the beans have a nice robust flavour and the milk is foamed well.

service - now the serious downside is the service. when you walk in, you're hardly greeted at all. people are walking back and forth without an acknowledgement. do you think i like standing here for nothing? the managers have a serious air of arrogance about them, and the service is inattentive. maybe this is the authentic italian experience, or maybe they have something against asians, but i've experienced this two times already.

a little slice of carlton in mornington.. i dined at d.o.c on sunday with my folks, and i must add how pleased i was at not only with the food but the service as well. the host was most accommodating with our needs. the service was a little choppy at times due to the venue being full but still attentive without being in your face. i moved away from rosebud a while ago to start working in melbourne's hospitality scene due to the lack of "real quality" on the peninsula at the time but this sundays lunch was a welcome surprise. the three of us shared the zucchini flower pizza special, the soppressa pizza with provolone, pesto and olives and then finished with the 5 cheese selection. the small wine list was nice my mother enjoyed the soave and the montepulciano went nicely to my head, but the barolo was a star regardless of its price tag. its a great change to have a "city" quality venue in a town of over priced main stays eg -"the rocks" that dosent break the bank. the old's loved it, especially the mini market of produce and cheese. it was also the first time they tried zucchini flower's. so in rapping this review up a great thank you for making my family's day, the worst part was going back home to the city lol. i have also dined at the carlton venue as well.

worst experience ever. staff were arrogant rude and not friendly. would not recommend it at all. left after eating a.very ordinary meal and went and had a coffee and a cake down the street at the boyz 4 brekie what a difference experience staff were lovely and service was amazing. i know which place in mornington im going to next time.

doc has always been a favourite for the best pizza in victoria... and i can see why. thanks for the amazing food and the prosciutto pizza was a treat 👌🏻 🍕

best pizza. the food here is hit and miss. the pizza here are some of the best i've ever had, however their lasagna's are very average. love their desserts but the service here is hit and miss. i find it's better here towards the end of the evening, rather than early on when there is pressure to eat and move on.

won't go back. we were treated with contempt at this restaurant and will not return.we are regular restaurant goers in mornington but don't need to return to this one. the italian waiter and maître de were rude and arrogant... who do they think they are??

greeted with friendly staff and we didn’t have to wait long to make our order. food also came out in a timely manner. we ordered the beef ragu lasagna, pizza doc and spek which tasted amazing. #pizza #italian

always our favorite place. best pizza in melbourne! great italian food! been there like once or twice every month and we need to drive about 30km!

excellent environment and food! and staff is very welcoming. i love the antipasto and tiramisu. definitely my favorite place in mornington 😋

the vibe is probably the best part of this place. the pizzas are pretty good- decent size and typically italian. fresh ingredients, good dough. decent wine list and all produce visually fresh and tasty. but probably over priced for what it is. and don't expect any niceties. in fact the default is general rudeness and arrogance from the staff. that goes for carlton espresso and doc in carlton also. it's fine the first time. then it gets a bit tired and long in the tooth-loses it's je ne sais quoi.

the good bit is that the providore is one of the best in town. fabulous salamis, cheeses and deli delights to make up for the unwelcoming attitude you get each time.

and still, we go. the food is good, the wine is good, it's consistent, clean and fresh.

wonderful pizza, disappointing service. --- the pizza here is amazing. the king prawn one is definitely a must try - slightly spicy with glass-like fresh prawns. the only downside to this experience was the impolite server.

my daughter and i ordered takeaway gnocchi (2 serves). at $30 a serve it arrived in the usual plastic container but already i could see this was barely enough to fill us. neither of us are big eaters but the serving was very small. so my serving was ‘gnocchi’ but as discussed, i got noodles instead. so noodles with sauce which tasted like the sauce you buy at the supermarket in a jar. domininos pasta sauce. my daughter said the same about her gnocchi. for $60 that was very annoying. both of us were still hungry and only ate it because we were hungry. it was not nice at all.
