a group of 5 went on a saturday night the service was good. the staff was patient even though is was close to closing. drinks are priced in the $5-7 range and food is reasonable as well. all of us were pleased with taste and portions.

i ate there today for lunch. the ribs were unreal. fall off the bone and done to perfection. the fried okra was out of this world.
great food!!!
the waitress was cold and lacked any manners or decent serving skills.
had i not had to "bother" her, i'm sure her day would have been much better.

besides the lack of service, the meal was outstanding!

okay. building and atmosphere were great....location convenient. ordered fried catfish, which was quite meaty and tasty, but the hushpuppies it came with were the worst i have ever had...ever. hard as rocks and tasted like the oil they were cooked in wasn't hot enough so the dough absorbed that oil. yuck! husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich, which was visually appealing. he's likes the more simple things so when the bbq came with all kinds of different flavors on it...fried onion, pickles, etc....he said he could hardly taste the meat at all. so, he was not a fan. we are always trying new restaurants so it was nice to enjoy the downtown location. in a pinch we might try doc crows again...maybe.

doc crow's had a good atmosphere inside. i had the st. louis ribs with onion rings and texas toast. the ribs were good, but weren't very tender. they had sauce, but i preferred adding more to them. i want to try their poboys on the next visit.

slow service, poor quality food. cool atmosphere but over priced and poor quailty food. pork sandwich and beef brisket tacos were full of fat. pork sandwich has a very good bun.. but that's about it. there was a poor amount of meat on the sandwich that could be considered edible. service is lacking and the bbq is better elsewhere in town.

just ok. went there friday evening at 7pm. told it would be an hour wait so we sat at the bar. (our table was ready 10 min. later) they were out of our first choice of oysters. took about 45min. to get them. pricey at $3.00ea. bbq was just okay and the sides were nasty. don't order the onion rings. bland and tasted to be frozen. fries were soggy. good selection of wines. service was slow, but friendly. extremely loud. nice oyster bar, but forget the rest. my impression was the staff was overwhelmed. $200 for our party of 4 and just not worth it.

nothing to write home about. went with friends before concert... the only good thing was it was close to yum center ;)

we tried several menu items... heard the bbq was supposed to be ok - don't waste time on it. i tried oysters and they were costly... they were small & had no real taste - waitress said they were fresh - really? not good... (reminder to self - stay away from any oyster that is not within walking distance from the gulf!, no matter how expensive or fresh they tell you they are)

i can't say much about the place - nothing dazzling to make me go back. just a plain ole place with plain food... like o'charley's or applebees - hmmmm

loved it. i love this place. the drinks were good, the service was good, and the food was good. i'd have a large party here in a heartbeat because the place is huge. i would definitely recommend.

at first looked to be very small place..till you get inside! i made reservations with urban spoon. we got there a little early and was seated, great synced it was saturday night. our waiter was excellent, good knowledge and very friendly. we started with some oysters which were fresh and tasted great. i had the texas brisket and the braised greens. very nice to say the least, meat was great, greens were very good as well. my wife had the pulled pork and fries. also great, the seasoned fries were good. total bill was 74, with tip. portions were good, left very full. will definitely go back.

i went to doc crow's for the first time last night after being recommended by my boss. it was a great decision! the atmosphere was great the appetizers were amazing (definitely get the beef brisket tacos) and dinner was not a disappointment. my mother in law got the shrimp and cheese grits and loved it! i got the shrimp and oyster po'boy and initially it was a bit dry, but i asked for additional sauce, which i got at no charge, and then it was perfect! and the dirty rice was delicious as well! overall it was just a good time, good portions, good food, and a great server!! i'm hoping to take my husband once he returns from his deployment! keep up the awesome food and service!

beware. my husband made a reservation a week in advance but when we got there we were told there was no reservation. it was the night of a uofl game at the yum center so the place was packed. we were told that they would work us in within 15 min. well it was over an hour later before we were seated which was stressful because we had to make the game. the manager was very rude and said that their system doesn't loose reservation, basically saying that we lied about have a reservation! this was my second visit, both times i had a dish with pork and it was very, very fatty. their drinks are overpriced, but the food prices are reasonable though everything is a la carte so can get pricing by the time you add some sides.. the best thing i can say about doc crows is the atmosphere is nice but it's not wort all the negatives that go with it.

this restaurant was just ok. i had the shrimp po' boy. the shrimp was excellent, but the rest of the sandwich was mediocre. i would eat here again...but it would not be my first choice.
