doc crow's is dangerously delicious! my father and i recently ate here before a concert, and we were very impressed.
tasty sweet tea, an amazing renovated space in historic whiskey row, and diligent and friendly service. for our appetizer, we ordered the heap'n chips (made-in-house potato chips topped with melted cheddar, bbq sauce, pico de gallo, sour cream, pickled jalapeños and beef brisket and pulled pork) - a generous portion of chips and toppings that is extremely filling and agreatway to kick off your meal.
for our entrees, we both ordered the fried catfish po-boy (fresh and perfectly prepared catfish, lightly battered and well-seasoned; lettuce, tomatoes, remoulade on louisiana french bread); served with hand-cut sweet potato fries and lightly breaded onion rings.
i have previously ordered the pulled pork sandwich (slow smoked pork shoulder with pickles and tobacco onions) and the southern fried pork sandwich (boneless pork chop with lettuce, tomatoes, and remoulade on a brioche bun), both of which were outstanding sandwiches.
one of our favorite spots in downtown louisville.
