the service was terrible. the staff was astonishingly rude. i have rated theplaceas 3/5 to be fair since the food wasn't half bad although i wouldn't visit theplaceagain.
tip- do not order the level 2 or 3 tom yum soup even if you think you like spicy food! trust me on this!

one of my favorite thai places that i've visited in sydney. most sydneysiders know that thai restaurants are quite popular across most areas in sydney - if youre looking for thai you shouldn't have a problem. do dee manages to provide a refreshing take on thai food with a cuisine as abundant as blue skies on a sunny day, thisplacemanages to surprise!!

food is very reasonably priced and very tasty. the menu has alot of choices and you can choose your level of spiciness.
cons:
expect to wait for a table as thisplaceis popular.
its not a restaurant you go to to sit and relax while eating it seems there is a constant pressure or vibe to get you out in a hurry.
you could end up sharing your table with complete strangers, and sharing means pretty much touching elbows.

i’ve seen so many photos of thisplaceon instagram and heard great reviews about it and boy did thisplacenot disappoint! one of the cheapest places you can eat at in chinatown with bowls of noodles starting from $6. the do dee monster is tom yum spicy noodles worth a mixture of tender ribs, pork and fishballs. i order this level 1 spicy, which is already quite spicy. you can also choose the type of noodles you would like.

this restaurant is a must try for lovers of spicy food and thai noodle soups. thisplaceis affordable but the proportions for said pricing can be debated. there is a large variety in the menu from noodle soup to traditional thai food but if you want the full experience try thier famous noodle soups with 7 different spice levels. my personal favourite for this restaurant is the king size noodle soup (because i am a big eater) and the paw paw salad plate with the side dish accompaniment. the decoration of this franchise is very unique and trendy, with very good service. the only downside to this restaurant is the fact that they like to charge for the little stuff like sauce and side dishes.

i really recommend thisplacefor people who have that one friend who 'thinks' they are good at eating spicy food, the level 7 noodle soup would be the perfect test. remember to film the whole thing so you can tease them later 😂

my go toplacefor authentic thai noodle soup in the city. love the spicy do dee monster which is only at level 1 in hotness. my tolerance for spice is already quite good but this dish was hot! if you dare go for level 3.
don't expect anything fancy here but the prices aren't either. recommend it!

thisplacehas three branches, one in cabramatta, another in bondi and this one in haymarket. i’ve walked past this haymarket branch on a friday night and it was absolutely packed, with mounds of people still waiting for a coveted seat. luckily, angela and i went during lunchtime so we didn’t have to wait for a table. service is friendly and they gave us two menus, which, at first, overwhelmed us, but having done some background research, we already had an idea of what to order of course.

thai food has always been an international favourite. it's probably the most eaten take away across the country but its not easy to find somewhere authentic. i haven't been to thailand but expats have said thisplaceis pretty real. you'll certainly notice the menu isn't what you'd expect from you're typical run-of-the-mill thai eatery.
when do dee paidang says 'spicy', it means business. so we played it safe, and stuck to the level 1 and 2. and i'm glad i did because even the level 1 had me grabbing at my milk tea and chewing on the ice cubes. spiciness aside, it was delicious!! umami, sour, full of texture!
aside from noodles, we also tried the rice. the soup stock was very similar in flavour but with added corriander. the rice was still firm, which i enjoyed but i understand why some might find this dish a bit confusing - as its not really congee, just rice swimming in soup.
one of the highlights of the night was the tum tard. just looking at the platter screams excitement!!! there's a bit of everything and its all so delicious. i especially loved the deep fried school prawns (which can be ordered separately) and the pork crackling. the extra bits and pieces gave the som tum extra depth and was great fun to share.

i want to give thisplace10/5 if i can! thai food at thisplaceis very different from other thai places (such as spice i am, satang, chat thai, holy basil). unique, simple and spicy! and cheap as well. you should try noodle soup / soup with rice dishes. i dont think you can find them from other thai restaurants. once we ordered whole fish, this huge fat fish was very well cooked, (but not greasy) and yummy.

sad thing us they already increased the price...

a small joint across market city. what i love about thisplaceis great service, even during peak hours, cheap, and great great food. we always order the king size noodle and sometimes the diy wrap as well. the broth on the noodle dish packs a punch. it is sweet, sour, salty, spicy, basically every flavour you can think of!
toppings for the wrap are pork sausage, home made udon, garlic, chilli, mushroom, unriped mango/apple, variaties of greens and herbs, and the signature sauce. the wrap is fresh, and the sausage and sauce add some flavour to the dish.
the fried dough with pandan custard is a classic thai dessert. the dough itself is crunchy and fluffy. but the pandan custard is a bit milky.
overall, a recommendedplaceif you are lookig for a cheap and fast food but packs a punch!
