perfection. been here quite a few times and this is by far one of my favorite places to dine in canberra. never disappoints although a new dessert to the repertoire wouldn't go astray.

best in canberra. great service, great food, great ambience in the restaurant. can't ask for more. they were very accommodating when we suddenly had two more guests than we booked for. had a wonderful meal here. love it and will be back again!

j and i were invited to a milestone birthday dinner at courgette. it had been years since i last dined there so i was really looking forward to it. as there were a few of us dining for dinner, we were seated in the wine cellar. a dangerous place to be in if you love wine. drink orders were taken and i asked whether a mocktail could be made. our waitress informed us that any type of mocktail could be made – did i prefer something fruity? yes, fruity would be wonderful. another person at the table asked for something lemony. my raspberry mocktail came served in a wine glass and i was happy with the berry fizz like concoction. no photo sorry.

i first visited courgette approximately 3 years ago and the food was amazing! at the time it was 4 courses for $75. 3 years later and i managed to come back around with my husband and it wasn't quite the same. 4 courses now cost $88 (which is still very reasonable!) however it seemed like the focus was more on presentation of the dishes rather than flavours. i personally found the food a bit on the salty side. still very enjoyable with excellent friendly service.

courgette has been awarded a one hat status by the sydney morning herald three years running. courgette is very similar to that of aubergine i can see the resemblance in style and flavour of dishes.

fantastic 4 course menu for a reasonable price and it looked amazing
but we didn't end up eating here as 4 courses were a few too many for us this particular evening and there was no other option
however i had to comment on the beautiful decor and the amazing friends and welcoming service. they were very gracious when we realized our mistake over the 4 course menu and didn't charge us for our sparkling water
would definitely come back to try when in canberra and not so full

a nice spot for a special night out although the atmosphere is a bit stuffy - not the chic but casual currently trending, this is old school white table cloths and sparkling wine glasses and trendy cutlery. the food was great with an interesting range of choices and good value for a a four course meal with numerous options each course. only complaint is that my dishes while beautifully cooked were not served very hot. the dessert of mandarin and carrot flavours was the most unique but surprisingly good combo.

absolutely amazing experience! food is awesome can’t keep eating it. they filled you with side bread roll non stop! friendly staff who remember what you said! love the wine selection as well try the italian moscato if you can, it’s not too sweet but easy to go with any food. will definitely come back for a special occasion!

boring.
while the taste and service is reasonable, this restaurant is a has-been. it lacks creativity, artistry, and purpose. it feels like one is stuck in 1990s/early 2000s and wishes to stay there. i have a feeling it was only busy because all the other fine dining restaurants are still closed. also, this place isn’t hatted for 2020 (no surprise). service is excellent, food portions are generous for a degustation. not recommended if you’re a foodie.

my partner and i celebrated his birthday dinner here and we had the four course set menu. although the portions were quite small (as expected), it was delicious and was plated nicely. the truffle butter for the bread was absolutely amazing - later i found out it was brought to canberra by one of the ex head chefs of the same restaurant group, clement (who currently owns les bistronomes in campbell).

when desserts arrived, they placed a birthday candle in my partner's cake which was a nice gesture!

it is the worst restaurant i have ever been to. there were not enough waiters and it took forever to be served. i had been waiting for ages before he kept serving the throngs of people sitting next to me. the food is ok but for this price, it is not acceptable.
“bad” is not suitable to describe this restaurant, “awful” is a better word.
this is a dreadful restaurant, don’t know why it has four stars, terrible service and such awful food quality mean i will not be coming back.

i was really disappointed. neither the taste nor the presentation of the dishes was up to expectation. the oxtail was too salty and the beef tenderloin was tough. the desert looked good but tasted awful. the orange sorbet tasted so strange that i couldn’t tell it was made from orange. the service was inefficient. i’m not going back to this restaurant again.
