simply amazing! outstandingfoodand service! the cheesecake is to die for!! wish i lived in canberra so i could make this my regular!

i first visited courgette approximately 3 years ago and thefoodwas amazing! at the time it was 4 courses for $75. 3 years later and i managed to come back around with my husband and it wasn't quite the same. 4 courses now cost $88 (which is still very reasonable!) however it seemed like the focus was more on presentation of the dishes rather than flavours. i personally found thefooda bit on the salty side. still very enjoyable with excellent friendly service.

a nice spot for a special night out although the atmosphere is a bit stuffy - not the chic but casual currently trending, this is old school white table cloths and sparkling wine glasses and trendy cutlery. thefoodwas great with an interesting range of choices and good value for a a four course meal with numerous options each course. only complaint is that my dishes while beautifully cooked were not served very hot. the dessert of mandarin and carrot flavours was the most unique but surprisingly good combo.

absolutely amazing experience!foodis awesome can’t keep eating it. they filled you with side bread roll non stop! friendly staff who remember what you said! love the wine selection as well try the italian moscato if you can, it’s not too sweet but easy to go with any food. will definitely come back for a special occasion!

while the taste and service is reasonable, this restaurant is a has-been. it lacks creativity, artistry, and purpose. it feels like one is stuck in 1990s/early 2000s and wishes to stay there. i have a feeling it was only busy because all the other fine dining restaurants are still closed. also, this place isn’t hatted for 2020 (no surprise). service is excellent,foodportions are generous for a degustation. not recommended if you’re a foodie.

celebrated our anniversary here.foodwas amazing with excellent service! loved their entree bread which goes really well with the truffle butter! menu was vegetarian friendly which was nice. will go again for otherfoodoptions!

it is the worst restaurant i have ever been to. there were not enough waiters and it took forever to be served. i had been waiting for ages before he kept serving the throngs of people sitting next to me. thefoodis ok but for this price, it is not acceptable.
“bad” is not suitable to describe this restaurant, “awful” is a better word.
this is a dreadful restaurant, don’t know why it has four stars, terrible service and such awfulfoodquality mean i will not be coming back.

chef james massillon continues to creates magic withfoodand service at courgette on marcus clarke street in canberra city. indeed courgette’s wait staff are the finest in canberra –  familiar faces who develop an instant rapport while behind the scenes, seamlessly choreographing the meal to ensure a perfect evening.

had a 4 course meal here that was french in style mixed with modern australian.

the presentation was very nice and all of the dishes were spot on, definately not your average type and style offoodbut was worth the experience.

if u make it to canberra its worth a shot!

great value 4 course meal.foodwas excellent - taste and innovation. while the setting is quite nice the only thing i would improve would be the tables and table cloths, they didn't fit with the decor.

me and my partner went to canberra a while ago and had chosen this place as a part of our two days trip. we both agree that this was one of the best decision we had made.

living in melbourne there are far more choices to choose from and we all agree that there are far more option as to fine dining food. our experience in courgette, however, was one of the best!
for the price of $85 for three course menu and thefoodwe receive we could not fault anything! the service was amazing but thefoodwas outstanding!

thank you so much for the experience, we and our family will definitely be back whenever we visit canberra.

courgette definitely lived up to the hype for me! lovely mid-week night out to celebrate a birthday of a friend. great wine (!) and even better food. to be expected but thefoodwas delicious and well presented. only thing i didn't love was the cheese plate for dessert seemed to have been prepped a lot earlier (though the presentation was gorgeous!) definitely worth a trip - and they wrote happy birthday on my friend's dessert plate after i told them it was her birthday when booking - added bonus :)

what an extremely enjoyable dining experience. our evening seating was in a separate room surrounded by wine racks albeit somewhat destitute. the 4 course menu each has 3 or 4 choices and each course for me was a tough choice as there is multiple temptations.
my decisions landed on prawn cannoli, seared scallops, lamb chops, and panacotta.
all plates were very good to outstanding. perhaps the dessert was the weakest but by no means a disappointment. the panacotta was extremely delicate and melted away in the mouth.
the scallops were the best i have had in a long while. they are ubiquitous these days but often fail to deliver. these were modest sized, perfectly cooked, firm and tender and had flavour!
the service was attentive but lacked the polish of thefoodbut that is nit picking a little. all around it was a dining pleasure.

i sussed out all of the restaurants in canberra so that i could determine what restaurants to book for my holiday. courgette was my top choice and i did thoroughly enjoy the food. the wine list was extensive and the menu is vegetarian friendly. the vego options are creative too which is always nice to see. the cheese platter was presented in a wacky and innovative way which was a nice surprise. i went with three other people and we all had a really good experience. the only downer was that the guy serving us was arrogant and very rude at the end. we were having a good time, had drunk multiple bottles of wine and spent a lot of money... and this guy was practically pushing us out the door. he kept coming over and asking us if he wanted us to get him to call a taxi... er no, no we don't... or we would have asked (obviously!) it wasn't even that late. so it is worth visiting courgette for thefood- but the service leaves something to be desired. i expect more from a fine dining establishment.

saturday lunch interesting and visually appealingfoodwhich tasted excellent. very pleasant ambience on a cold canberra saturday. the table service was first rate and we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. overall a pleasant and first rate afternoon.
