amazing meals, fantastic service and perfect atmosphere. great wine list. the perfect place for a quiet romantic dinner, or if you want to impress someone. not cheap, but you get what you pay for. highly recommend. :-))

saturday lunch interesting and visually appealing food which tasted excellent. very pleasant ambience on a cold canberra saturday. the table service was first rate and we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. overall a pleasant and first rate afternoon.

high expectations. we made our first visit to courgettes with great expectations - and they were met. great surroundings, attentive service without being overbearing and sensational food. every course hit the mark - great flavours, well presented and perfectly cooked.

superb. had an excellent anniversary dinner at courgette a few nights ago - we both agree one of the best we've ever had. the courses were beautifully presented, a delightful mixture of flavours and textures; the wine was good though perhaps we could have sought some advice and done better - not their fault. service was perfect - attentive but not fussy. $250 for two, and worth every cent.

one of the best meals we've had in canberra. the food is stunning, with finely balanced flavours and textures, and $80 for four courses represents great value. unfortunately the service was cold at best. after being seated with menus, a few mins later we were asked 'are you ready?' with no explanation of the wine list or menu whatsoever. water and bread were slow to be refilled, and i was not offered a second glass of wine. disappointing, compared to places that have similar food and get service right, like aubergine, italian and sons and ottoman

just lovely. had a lovely night here. beautiful food and fantastic wine pairing by the som. not too keen on the duck terrine but the night was still splendid.

now that i've had the opportunity to eat at courgette, it seems natural that i'll have to try aubergine sometime for comparison. it was a small group dinner at courgette, which meant the lucky use of the boardroom - a private dining area that i imagine is usually filled by business people trying to impress each other. the room is beautiful and stylish, with equally impressive extra-wide chairs to fit the largest of fatcats. it does create a slight excessive distance between each guest but not rea

we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at courgette and will definitely be going back. we had the three course lunch and really couldn't fault a thing. the meals are beautifully presented and are absolutely delicious, with such attention to detail, they are a delight to look at as well as eat. we loved the various elements (sauces, purees, vegetables) on the plates. the chairs were comfortable and the decor pleasant, but at the time we went, the restaurant was a little quiet. i would like to go back when it is a little busier and i'm sure the atmosphere would be better. we thought the price ($60 for 3 courses) was reasonable for the quality of the food. service was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing or annoying. we would definitely like to go back to sample more of the menu!

courgette offers 4 course meals (which we opted for) and an a la carte menu for dinner. it is led by chef james musillon who also lends his talent to another top canberra restaurant, waters edge.

expensive, and worth it. courgette many years ago was a restaurant with top prices but that tended to just 'miss' - little things were not quite right; the seasoning, a small service error etc. this has all changed.

now it is a top class restaurant with superb service, elegant and restrained, and beautiful food, wine and coffee. and believe me, if i'm paying these prices, i'm fussy. this is definitely a venue to go to if you wish to celebrate a truly meaningful event, impress someone special or simply indulge yourself.

think of it as a culinary pamper session: pricey, luxurious and oh-so-worth-it.

nice, fairly formal affair. excellent wine list, but in a recent visit i had a number of dishes with poor flavour combinations. my companions had some nice dishes, but nothing outstanding. i'd recommend going for the traditional french style dishes, as they seem better put-together.
