romantic spot. when i was in high school, my wife (then girlfriend) and i used to come here for lunch to split the cajun fries because we didn't have much money. this was before anyone had curly fries that i knew of. still delicious and always fresh...unlike arbys. now i take my daughter here for late night snacks.
i don't really care much for the burgers or the slushes, but everything else i've had is perfect. i think that part of their secret is that they use peanut oil for frying, and everything is made to order...hot enough to burn you if you're not careful! my favorite items on the menu are thefriedchicken sandwich and thefriedpickles. i love the potato boats as well, but they are way overpriced.
what i love most of all is that it is a norman institution. and when sonic started to move in right next store, i was outraged. they moved to the corner instead, but you know who looks the busiest to me? norman's own classic 50s.
