the food is terrific and i love it

so we decided to see what the talk was about and finally gave in to visit this establishment. being from san antonio, texas, we determined that there was no "real" tex mex in arkansas. and much to our surprise..... there isn't.
although, chuys came closer than any others restaurant we have visited. but, we will continue to eat at home when we want real san antone tex mex food.
the fajitas are genuine, salty but, genuine. and what's this, a taci salad with no bed of beans. omg, my lady just about thought we were at a fake tex mex restaurant. the copy cat sombrero rosa salsa was obviously not prepared properly. to dry and chunky. beans, rosirita from a can. rice,welm let's see. no onion, no bell pepper, too much coming, tomatoes from a can i'm sure. tortillas, the flour one are made fresh and they were pretty good. didn't have the corn tortillas. so, i give this place 3 lone stars out of 5.
and lady wanted me to add that they don't have taco salad boxes to go. you have to break the shell and place into a regular 3 compartment tray.
well, i guess we just have to continue to wait until i open my restaurant.

it was good. above average.

i sat for 10 minutes with no one acknowedging me so i left. i have no idea id the food is good but the ser ice sucks. it's 4pm.

absolutely love chuys, we have been there several times every dinner has been good, the margaritas seemed watered down though

i like their food. it was the margarita that was bad.
hope they find a good bartender.

good tortilla soup the nachos kept coming.

1st and last trip to chuy's-don't bother!!!!!. ..party of 6 walked right in. ordered drinks..waiter put 2 on table and 4 on 2 of our party. after getting up dripping wet and the waiter too, manager came to apologize and promised to bring free desserts which never came. waited almost 15 minutes to take our order after we flagged the manager down. order was taken...3 orders came out, about 10 minutes later 2 more came out and the last one came out after the waiter had to go back and place the order again...came when everyone else had finished. requested extra napkins twice that never came/ then came the bill (after we had all finished our drinks and food and finally he came out to give us the bill) waited about 15 minutes on change. one of our party was shorted $24 in change. asked for a manager. he didn't recalculate and just brought $20 out and had to go back again after we told him he still owed us $4. i told him this was our first and last time we would eat there and he acted offended! worst service ever and to be honest the food was nothing special. i don't blame all of this on the waiter who is probably underpaid but the 2 managers acted as if they could care less.

chuy's makes substantial (not wimpy) chips, fresh (fresh, fresh) salsa, and great queso, loved them. also, happy to report the best chili rellenos around! crispy battered, fried to perfection, and loaded with cheese. i had the shrimp and cheese relleno, could've had a couple of more shrimp, but delicious anyway. loved the casual and friendly decor. check out all the hubcaps on the ceiling! and, a fresh, fresh, fresh tortilla maker on the clock all day long! the king would be proud. bet you will get excited about chuy's, too...

the chips and salsa were delicious! i ordered the soft tacos with guacamole topping...they were just eh. i don't really care for a lot of mexican food so the menu was pretty limited for me (as opposed to abuelo's whose menu is still mexican but more varied). the rest of my group seemed pretty happy with their food, and the decor was neat...just not the right food for me.

good enough to "like it". no more, no less.

best salsa in dallas (it's fresh and spicy). fun atmosphere for people of all ages on the weekend. they love elvis there and have decorated each seating room with a theme relevant to elvis!

the cheese dip and jalapeño dip are outstanding. the experience on the whole was a very good one.

this is by far the best tex mex food we have in arkansas, the sauces are what make it so delicious! and if you want a great margarita got for the strawberry swirl.. so good. i love the creamy jalapeño dip! ask for it with your chips!

what's the big deal?. i went to chuy's with my date on a tuesday night. it was packed for a weekday night, as it is every single night i pass by it. i've always wondered why everyone was going nuts over this place finally coming to lr- thinking it must be the best mexican food on the planet. uh...wrong. mediocre is the best way to describe the food.

there is absolutely nothing that sets the food apart from anything you'll get at any of the other 10000 mexican restaurants that little rock has. sure, the decor is kind of interesting, but that's not really a reason to go. i didn't really care for how casual the waiter was with us (ever heard of personal space?)

this place was just an overcrowded, bland restaurant that does not merit a return visit. the best mexican in little rock, to me, will always be browning's. chuy's, senor tequila, santo coyote, blah..blah..blah...they're all the same!

amazing food! had a couple issues with the seating and one order but the staff made it right and compensated us! definitely a must visit!!
