calories restaurant

fantastic food. they work hard to buy from local, sustainable suppliers and so i feel happy to pay a bit extra for quality, local ingredients. the "pommes- frites" are fantastic and the cakes are never disappointing. great place!

didn't meet expectations.... given the recent praise in planet s, and the overall good ratings about calories, i was not very impressed...

couple weeks ago i went to calories for the first time for dinner with my bf, we ordered the burger and lake trout. presentation was great, but taste wise was bland. i really hope they can add more flavour to everything. their dessert made up for the night.

last sunday, had my friend from toronto visiting me, so we went for the brunch. she had the maple syrup eggs and croissant, she said it was very sweet, it would be an indulgence to have the whole thing.. i had the frittata, the whole time wondering if they forgot the salt, texture was very good, fluffy and perfectly baked, but again totally lacking in the flavor department.

am i just ordering the wrong things?? any suggestions? i really don't want to give up on this place since it has such a good rep.

happily stunned. i was happily stunned by the amazing toffee cheesecake, which i might add is a perfect companion to the heavenly kashmir chai latte. nice ambiance, friendly staff, and admirable selection of foods and drinks.

excellent food poor service. the food here is fantastic! you can tell that it's made from scratch and i like that they change the menu around with the season. the service on the other hand is not as great. the water server can come around more often than your actual server. and if your in luck you will have room for there amasing deserts!

calories has some of the most delicious array of cakes and tarts on display. i opted for the caramel cheesecake and it was so flavorful. enjoyed with a glass of prosecco it was a great alternative to "cake and tea." would recommend to anyone with a palate for unhealthy sweet treats!

we just came here for dessert. i had the lemon torte, which was moist and delicious. it did get a little too sweet for me near the end of the slice though. we also tried the chocolate hazelnut cheesecake, which was very very chocolatey and rich, but the texture was beautiful. the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake was my favorite dessert out of the 3 we ordered. it was so so good. yes, the prices are on the high side, but that's to be expected. i will be back to try their food menu!

have been a few times. enjoy the menu selections. food is always good quality. and of course, the desserts! nice option for lunch or supper. small but cozy atmosphere.

tried coming here for dinner for the first time a few weeks ago, and cannot rave enough about this place.
their menu is seasonal and changes often based on ingredient availability, with the chef always trying new and different things. such a cool concept!!!
i gave the blackberry soda a try (its a house made syrup with soda water) and it was amazing. really fruity, fresh, and not too sweet.
the cioppino ($26) had a nice tomato based broth with rouille (rouilles normally come with bouillabaisses but i can't fault that). tons of seafood- clams, mussels, shrimp, squid, and i was surprised that a whole chunk of lingcod was in there too! nicely seared and marinated too! most importantly, the seafood was fresh, plump, and cooked to perfection- i find that in saskatoon, many restaurants struggle to make seafood taste good- not sure if its because its difficult to get fresh seafood due to its land locked location, or what. its important to avoid that "frozen" taste like its been in the freezer for too long.  definitely hoping this dish will show up in the future (as the menu was due to change the next week) but its exciting to know that you can try something new every once in a while. 5/5 would recommend and come again.
prices are slightly on the high side for my budget but well worth treating yourself every once in a while! and i'd say definitely worth what you're paying for.

came here last night with some friends to try their cheesecake. i had the chocolate hazelnut, and my friends tried the toffee and white chocolate. for one slice of their cheesecake it is $9.45 which is way more than we were expecting to spend. the chocolate hazelnut tasted more like a very dark chocolate, it was not what i was expecting. the service was alright and the atmosphere was nice, but with prices like this i won't be back.

the food here is always good.  i like the atmosphere because it's laid back while also providing good service.  i appreciate the servers are attentive without being overly so.  that's tough to balance yet all the servers here seem to manage it.  the food always tastes fresh and is served quickly.  the menu changes relatively frequently so even though i go here regularly i usually end up with something new every time.

this is a great place for late night coffee and dessert.

this place never disappoints when it comes to cheesecake! most cakes, really. been here a few times, and the only sad thing is that serving sizes seem to have gotten smaller over the last two years! amazing cheesecake, though not innovative or creative. if only i had the metabolism i had 10 years ago...

came here for a late night coffee & dessert. it was very tasty. i would really like to come back and try the supper menu. i was here a few years ago and had lunch and wasn't overly happy with my meal. but i would like to try something else because everything looked tasty on the menu.

we stopped in for a little late night cheesecake and were not disappointed. it all looked fantastic in the front display but chose white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and spiced pear cheesecake .... both amazing. good for a friend chat or a fun date.
