more reasons why calories is great. this is an update to a previous review. twice in the last month i have gone to calories for desert and or refreshments. you can't go wrong. where else can you go to enjoy dessert and beer - yes beer, and dessert, together! ale and apple pie goes well together. anyway, the main reason for this update is to clear up a misconception about hamburgers, and to defend a fine chef (remi) who knows a helluva lot more about food safety than the average individual. hamburger needs to be cooked to 160 deg. f for around 15 seconds to kill harmful forms of bacteria (if it is even present). the temperature guideline is the only accurate guideline. the number of people who consistently turn back hamburgers that show a bit of pink on the inside dumbfounds me. the colour does not indicate doneness. temperature does. also to consider is the source of your meat and who grinds it. if it is sourced by therestaurantand ground fresh, there is much less chance of harmful bacteria being present. cooking until everything is dark brown is for grocery store ground meats that you don't know much about, and cannot afford to take chances. it is not a proper guideline for restaurants. i am hoping that i can get a chance to come and try one of these burgers that i have seen people turn back out of misguided fear. it's kind of a shame, but i know that in the industry you kind of have to cater to the intelligence of the masses and i know that this will affect how calories serves these up.

still one of the best. dinner entrees are very good here, certainly in the top 5 for saskatoon. i had a beef rib dish that was deliciously rich, girlfriend had a gnocci dish that was equally excellent. desserts are probably the best in the city, but expensive. there was only one time where i did not enjoy something served by the chef. this was on a sunday, for brunch, and the hashbrowns that came with my eggs benedict were way over-cooked, to the point that they were all crust. hurt my mouth, but i forgave, and came back, and enjoyed, and i will be back again and again!
