excellent bbq. we have eaten at a ton of bbq places but i can honestly say booby-q has the best brisket we have ever had! it was incredibly tender and soooo juicy. also had the chicken, baby back ribs and st. louis style ribs which all came on the whole hog platter. every meat was excellent and tender. the bbq sauce was sweet but you can order a spicy instead but only 2 choices of bbq. there was a ton of food on the whole hog along with 3 sides for $40. the sides were just ok. we had the shoestring fries, veggies and coleslaw. nothing to write home about there. you also get corn bread at the start of the meal which was warm and moist but nothing out of the ordinary. at the end of the meal they give you a bag of donuts to go which were very good with a cinnamon/sugar coating. definitely make time to go here as we will definitely be back next time in phoenix.

fall off the bone ribs!. my husband and i went to bobbyq's for his birthday looking specifically for bbq ' ribs. we had 3 types to choose from and he decided on the beef and st. louis ribs. the beef ribs were a little too greasy for my taste, but the st. louis ribs were perfectly smoked, flavorful and fall off the bone tender! we'll be back for sure.

this is a really good restaurant. the bbq melts in your mouth and the onion rings are to die for. if you like bbq, you will like bobby q's.

great bbq joint with great service. start with the q-rolls as an appetizer, they are reminiscent of mini-chimis with brisket. i highly recommend the smoasted chicken. the mac n' cheese is sinfully cheesy. the potato salad is equally delicious and surprisingly refreshing. the cornbread is warm and sweet. then finish your meal with mini complimentary sugar donuts.

additionally, last year i bought a whole turkey for thanksgiving day. talk about amazing! this is the first time my family devours the a whole turkey. delicious!!!!!

great bbq. stopped by as was closest liked bbq place of urbanspoon. glad we dd, cornbread , roasted corn, pulled pork sandwich , half firebird chicken all excellent, as was the service .. only downer was the peach cobbler

check your credit card statement. updated review: after my most recent visit i noticed that bobbyq overcharged my credit card. i won't be going back and now cannot recommend this establishment.

close your eyes to the surrounding area! great bbq sauce (i really liked the spicey), and wonderful corn bread and do-nuts. the chicken is good too, but i would go just for the corn bread and do-nuts!

this place rocks! great bbq, friendly, knowledgable waitress, food was served piping hot. the roasted corn was also excellent. the only downside was no burnt ends.

what's not to like. friendly bar tender who asks your name and then remembers (john) - great bbq and good grog!

hands down the nicest staff i’ve ever experienced. from the hostess, the the bartender and especially our waitress. the place was packed on a wednesday evening but still only took 15 minutes to get seated. waitress was amazingly genuine and pleasantly social.

food was phenomenal. service left something to be desired. waited over an hour after being seated before food arrived. watched all the tables around us being served but us.

this is a great (but noisy) spot for dinner and it was in a convenient location – just a short walk from our hotel in north phoenix. my husband and i ordered a 3 meat combination bbq platter (smoked beef brisket, st louis ribs and pulled pork) to share. it came with cornbread and a couple of sides (broccolini and coleslaw). the cornbread and sides were tasty and the meat was cooked to perfection. the portion was so generous that we couldn't finish it. the service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. the free fresh mini doughnuts that came with our bill at the end of the meal were frighteningly delicious!

this place is awesome. the meat is very tasty. at the end of the meal you get some nice cinnamon donuts that are to die for! also the cornbread is pretty good. definitely don't ever skip on the q rolls. they are the best thing on the menu!

the best mac and cheese in the valley....really!

great smoked meats. nice flavored sauces. friendly service. but it you are a mac and cheese fan this is the place. will not be disappointed.
