excellent bbq. we have eaten at a ton ofbbqplaces but i can honestly say booby-q has the best brisket we have ever had! it was incredibly tender and soooo juicy. also had the chicken, baby back ribs and st. louis style ribs which all came on the whole hog platter. every meat was excellent and tender. thebbqsauce was sweet but you can order a spicy instead but only 2 choices of bbq. there was a ton of food on the whole hog along with 3 sides for $40. the sides were just ok. we had the shoestring fries, veggies and coleslaw. nothing to write home about there. you also get corn bread at the start of the meal which was warm and moist but nothing out of the ordinary. at the end of the meal they give you a bag of donuts to go which were very good with a cinnamon/sugar coating. definitely make time to go here as we will definitely be back next time in phoenix.

fall off the bone ribs!. my husband and i went to bobbyq's for his birthday looking specifically forbbq' ribs. we had 3 types to choose from and he decided on the beef and st. louis ribs. the beef ribs were a little too greasy for my taste, but the st. louis ribs were perfectly smoked, flavorful and fall off the bone tender! we'll be back for sure.

this is a really good restaurant. thebbqmelts in your mouth and the onion rings are to die for. if you like bbq, you will like bobby q's.

greatbbqjoint with great service. start with the q-rolls as an appetizer, they are reminiscent of mini-chimis with brisket. i highly recommend the smoasted chicken. the mac n' cheese is sinfully cheesy. the potato salad is equally delicious and surprisingly refreshing. the cornbread is warm and sweet. then finish your meal with mini complimentary sugar donuts.

additionally, last year i bought a whole turkey for thanksgiving day. talk about amazing! this is the first time my family devours the a whole turkey. delicious!!!!!

great bbq. stopped by as was closest likedbbqplace of urbanspoon. glad we dd, cornbread , roasted corn, pulled pork sandwich , half firebird chicken all excellent, as was the service .. only downer was the peach cobbler

check your credit card statement. updated review: after my most recent visit i noticed that bobbyq overcharged my credit card. i won't be going back and now cannot recommend this establishment.

close your eyes to the surrounding area! greatbbqsauce (i really liked the spicey), and wonderful corn bread and do-nuts. the chicken is good too, but i would go just for the corn bread and do-nuts!

what's not to like. friendly bar tender who asks your name and then remembers (john) - greatbbqand good grog!

this is a great (but noisy) spot for dinner and it was in a convenient location – just a short walk from our hotel in north phoenix. my husband and i ordered a 3 meat combinationbbqplatter (smoked beef brisket, st louis ribs and pulled pork) to share. it came with cornbread and a couple of sides (broccolini and coleslaw). the cornbread and sides were tasty and the meat was cooked to perfection. the portion was so generous that we couldn't finish it. the service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. the free fresh mini doughnuts that came with our bill at the end of the meal were frighteningly delicious!

it started with the cornbread while we waited for our food. tasty, warm, and fresh cornbread with some added butter on top! one of the best i've ever tasted!
i ordered the full rack of baby back ribs with a side of veggies and mac and cheese. first the veggies were fresh! for some weird reason i though maybe they would have been frozen but i'm glad they weren't. the ribs came straight off the bone. thebbqsauce was sooo perfect just melted on the meat.
now, the mac and cheese...best i've ever had in my life!! trust me when i say next time i go, my two sides will both be mac and cheese! it was so creamy, well cooked l, great flavors and a nice little crunch on top.
i also had a glass of their house beer, bobbyq amber ale, which they brew in tucson. i usually do lighter, like a wheat beer but this was great - good after taste as well.
the service from our waiter was great! he gave us a sample of their beer to try and made sure we were good as first timers. during our meal the manager came over and asked if we were good and if our food tastes alright. he heard we were new in town and asked how we found out about the place. told him zomato!

let's start with the corn bread-- it's so good i really have to control myself to avoid overeating it. i'm not abbqgirl but the q here is spectacular. i love their shrimp & crab legs!

really good barbeque. our family loves bobby-qs. we find it to be one of the bestbbqrestaurants in the valley! we were so glad to find out about them, because we have really missed good bbq. we've been there often, and have always had great service, and fantastic meals.

whole hog heaven, for real!. ordered the "whole hog heaven". $44.00. includes 2 types of ribs, st.louis & baby backs. brisket & pulled pork. cole slaw, beans, shoestrings & cornbread accompanied.
huge mountain of meat. generous portions could handle 4 easily.
ribs were tender, tasty & meaty. brisket was the champ though. large portion, very little fat, yet moist & succulent.
conrbread..outstanding, rest of the sides were good.
service was attentive, and efficient. mgr came over and helped us pack up the leftovers (plenty!) had not been here in years, we live far se, but we'll be back.
this is now our favoritebbqplace in phoenix, and we love some bbq!

melt in your mouth ribs. not sure why it took us so long to learn about this place - recently highly rated nationally in the ny times - but at last we heard and tried, and it was two thumbs way up! the ribs and brisket were the tops of the night - we ordered the sample with two ribs, two meats and 3 sides. the st. louis ribs and baby backs both were perfectly booked and bathed luxuriously in an excellent barbeque sauce - hot for me. very friendly service, and lots of happy people. joe's in gilbert and bobby q in phoenix... two great reasons to live in the valley of thebbqsun. highly recommended!

normally you can smell thebbqwhen you get out of your car. not here. came here for a friends birthday dinner. my husbands plate of food was cold & terrible tasting. i thought since everything was crazy expensive it would at least be good. not so! the portion sizes are small. our service was probably the worst restaurant service experience on record! will not ever return. this is a place for people who don't know great tasting, succulentbbqand have under developed palates.
