mind-blowing desserts. the chocolate mousse was melting. also loved a mushroom dish which was ordered as a starter. felt that the thai curry ordered was little disappointing!

if you love thai food and you want to try some authentic thai restaurant then this is the place you should definitely count for.

i loved this place, food presentation, ambiance and obviously the taste. would love to visit again if i visit chennai.

the food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation - very pleasing. we especially enjoyed the tom yum- talay, som tam thai, pahd keemao woonsen and the khao pahd sapparot. they could do with getting their ambience to smell better and a quicker turnaround of orders. definitely a thumbs up.

this was the first time i visited this place
we were greeted by a lady who was carving vegetables, which was pretty beautiful
the food we ordered was tom yung soup , a chicken with leaf ( i’m not sure of the weird thai name ) 😅 and noodles with a gravey
the food was overall a good and pleasant experience! although the price was in the higher side , still never the less i enjoyed it! and will visit again!

i love this place. the taste is really good and i love the initial serving on the table which has beatle leaves and peanuts etc. love the ambiance too.

if you are looking for authentic thai cuisine, do eat at benjarong. before i mention the food, the service was really quick. loved the pan styled refreshment served when we were waiting for our order. we had great experience here and the place is on zomato gold which makes cost friendly too.

this was my first thai cuisine place and i really had an amazing experience. the starters were really exceptional despite the difficulties in spelling their names 😂. the beverages were good as well.

located in ttk road opposite to sketchers showroom.
have the facility of valet parking and the restaurant is in the ground floor.
ambience is quite dim lit
you also get a complementary starter pack (beetle leaf, few lemon,peanuts,sauce,dried prawns) and atlast a cup of tea
we ordered crab meat fried rice, nam prik chicken, grilled fish
everything tasted real good. quantity is okayish. pricing is high

long overdue review. one of the best thai restaurants in the city. they have an amazing menu. your taste buds are going to be happy for sure

one of the best thai food places in town!! from the starters till the desert me and my friend tasted one of the most unique and not so streamlined foods 😊
starters: we had a corn tartlets starter which nicely made .
drinks: two drinks lyche mojito and summer cooler. the lyche mojito was a really mouth watering . it had small pieces of lyche added at the bottom of it which elated the experience.
main course: the main course was the only negative part. our order was jasmine rice and tofu main along with broccoli and other vegetables. i somehow felt there was a fish aroma that popped out of the vegetarian dish.for someone who has an aversion to seafood i felt a bit nauseating.
desert:finally to finish it off we ordered thai sweetened sticky rice which was literally sweet pongal with ice cream on top of it 😝 and tub tim grab a dish with water chestnuts which was amazing .a must try!!

my review is for vegetarians

1). ambience is good (3/5) - restrooms were neat
2). service - server was a hot head with no patience (1/5)
3). pricing - not worth for the cost and particularly for the quality of food (2/5)
4). ordered these following items
appetiser - brocoli tod nambuoy (with mushrooms)
main course - phak vollappa (vegetables in basil sauce)
noodles - guaytiew pahd phak (similar to ramen noodles)

tod nambuoy was over cooked (making the mushrooms hard to bite and eventually got it replaced), phak vollappa had too many lemon leaves (was a spoiler) way out of proportion so it was a disappointment

pahd phak - was nothing great... did not taste like ethnic thai. it was too oily (oily ramen noodles)

absolute thai is relatively better when compared to benjarong, though both are not ethnic thai restaurants...

i will not recommend this restaurant for comfortable fine diners (veg) ... people who have lot of appetite for adventure for food can try this restaurant

lets say it is a thai food hotel that is in chennai, india, you will not get that proper thai restaurant feeling.
food is ok for the price.
but the seating arrangements are not upto the mark, they should definetely do sumthing about it.
i felt i was sitting on the road sumwhere.
positive thing is any thing seafood related is very tasty.
overall a nice place if you want to try sumthing different.

you love thai? then this is the place! food is delicious. the ambience relates to the cuisine. this was my first thai experience and i loved it.

food: still probably the best thai food in town. we ordered the usual, green curry (not as hot as expected though), pad thai, and the water chestnut dessert. everything was excellent.

service and ambience: we got in early for lunch, the staff seemed dull and unenthused by our arrival, we were reluctantly ushered to a table, restaurant was mostly empty at this time. our waiter particularly seemed disinterested, bordering on rude. very unlike the service we had gotten used to at benjarong.
the place needs some upkeep, the plastering and paint on the wall where we were seated was falling apart.

hoping the service we got was an aberration, otherwise the best thai food in town.

exquisite thai food... the raw papaya salad and the green curry is scrumptious...the stir fried potatoes roasted in chilli paste and thai sweet basil is my fav.. water chestnut dessert is unique and awesome.. since i’m on a budget this place is like a occasion treat.. it’s super pricey but if u want to celebrate an occasion with thai cuisine then this is the place to go..
