anthony's restaurant and fish bar

seafood... need i say anymore? i will, so first the downside it's in an airport, so it is expensive. now the upside, it's seafood. setting at the bar, service was quick and staff very friendly. the clam chowder was great as was the deep fried oysters. it's worth the stop, it'sgoodseafood stop and try it.

after a long flight, and not having breakfast or lunch, we were very hungry and saw this establishment in sea-tac.  we were really excited to give it a try, and ordered their salmon taco special they were having.  it was $9.99+ tax and it came with clam chowder, chips, and salsa.  the salmon was grilled, but had no flavor, especially against the large amount of coleslaw.  the clam chowder was my favorite part of everything, but it still tasted like it came from a can...  the salsa tasted like it was from a jar, and the chips were very, very stale.  at least i hadgoodcompany with me!

4/5 prettygoodprices for the airport. the night view from the super tall ceiling to ground windows are impeccable . watch airplanes take off and come home. clam chowder [tasty!] salmon fish and chips [super tasty! the fries were awesome] some kind of salad, it was meh. comparably more healthy and less delicious. we waited for ages for the food to come which was a nuisance.  there's actually a fish and chips bar on the right of the entrance of the restaurant. i think it's a little cheaper.  overall it was pretty great dinner at the airport. i enjoyed it. angel

not worth price. if all you want to do do is drink before your flight this is the place ok.......i had a gift card for anthonys as a gift
so i used at the airport i waited for a long time for my meal it toke" 20mins to check the card by th manager"
and when i got my order the quanity was small for the pricegoodbut not enough and never got my gift card back
with 12 dollars remaining on it.........................darrell

awesome. this is the best restaurant in an airport i have ever encountered. the food is just superb,goodselection of wines and the staff is (usually) attentive and friendly. when i fly to seattle it is always as stop over to or from the san juan islands and i always schedule my flights so i can eat at anthony's. i love the cioppino!
my only gripe is that i wish they would carry gluten free bread. since they don't i try to remember to take my own!

notgoodcompared to ivar's which is about 50 m away. if i were you i'd just hop over to ivar's. when i was at the airport, i was puzzled by these two competing fish bars so i actually went to both and ordered the same thing. ivar's is much better with the clam chowder and the fish actually tasted better. the batter at ivar's is not the same as anthony's but it is still better. anthony's batter is the kind where it separates from the fish very easily and you can just eat the batter and the fish separately whereas ivar's batter is more attached to the fish and is more rough in nature. this is still not a bad place considering seattle has some awesome fish and chips compared to where i'm from, but i'd just go to ivar's if you don't mind the fast food experience. the anthony's i went to was also the take-out section so i'm comparing like-to-like.

nice airport alternative. we ate here at around 9:30 pm in the bar. i thought the service was a tad slow but not bad. i don't think this is agoodchoice if you are in a rush but we had an hour and a half to kill. we had tempura prawns and garlic prawns. the garlic prawns were excellent but the tempura prawns were a on the heavy breaded greasy side butgoodenough for airport food. i found the ambiance in the bar to be very pleasant and enjoyed our microbrews. we also enjoyed the special huckleberry desserts that were offered which were quite a treat for an airport meal.

slow service, awful food. on our last trip out of sea-tac, we took a 8:30 flight. we left our house without eating breakfast thinking we can get a decent (our expectation is generally not that high) breakfast at the airport. anthony's, being in the main section of the airport was our obvious choice with two hungry kids. we ordered scrambled egg with bacon, which from our seats we can see stacked pre-cocked. scrambled egg have a distinct flavor, which our kids (generallygoodeaters in a restaurant) refused to eat, saying this egg smells funny. as it turned out, the egg they use for scrambled egg has garlic (and cheese) premixed. even for me, the egg taste with a strong garlic flavor. we are disappointed with the food. also, service was quite slow. i had to ask a refill of coffee. no update for the food. it took almost 30 min. before food was served (we were seated at 7:00am and food arrived almost at 7:30am). we basically ate half of the food (luckily, our kids did not want to finish food!) and had to leave for the gate. don't go there if we only have one hour before the flight. this is actually 2nd time i experienced slow service there (first time was for lunch). they seem to think that people who dine in a restaurant at an airport must have incredibly ample time to kill...

let's not get into a panic people, this is a great seafood place operated in a very busy airport. that said, the food is reallygoodand the service is 90% of the timegoodas well especially at the bar. the mahi mahi tacos are a great deal to fill up before a flight. just keep in mind that you have a bunch of hms union cooks preparing the food, not anthinys typical staff in their restaurants
