greasy spoon. in my quest to try out new restaurants, i encouraged my husband to go to lunch at aldaco's stone oak. its very very greasy. tortilla chips served at the table leave grease on your lips. we ordered the chicken quesadillas and the fajita platter. the quesadillas were soaked in grease and the fajita platter was only marginally better. literally 15 mins after we both have stomach aches and regret our lunch out. it has to the be the worst restaurant we have visited in san antonio.

john bezdek. i have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the vistas that surround the restaurant. they remind me of provance in france.

all of that and the food is super.

so this is my second visit to aldaco's stone oak and i must say it's better the second time around! the food is as always excellent! the waiter (didn't get her name) waited our table near the window was impeccable. what really topped off the evening was the bartender who made our margaritas, omg!

excellent food! however, if you plan to use your credit card to pay for your meal, be aware that they charge what they call 'alittle room for tip' on top of your bill even if you leave a tip on the table.. they said once the card is processed it will deduct the original amount of the bill. in other words i am not authorizing you to take out tips on my card and will pay cash on my next visit.

aldaco's stone oak - wonderful!!. aldaco's at stone oak is a great restaurant, one of the best in san antonio and perfect for us to bring the kids up to! the view is outstanding and the environment, margaritas and micheladas, and location are much more pleasant on top of the hill rather than down in sunset station. apparently this travis waiter is the go to guy, so next time ill be sure to ask for him to make it even more outstanding.

nice patio but terrible food. patio is great, margaritas were great (pricey at $11 each), service was very good, but food was not good at all. we have been fans of sunset station aldaco's, and the food here was not good at all. usually great salsa was not balanced or seasoned at all, and chile relleno tasted like spam was inside. even quesadillas were strange.

great food, great service!. i've had the pleasure of dining at aldaco's numerous times and have found the food to be consistently great, not to mention the fabulous views. i recently took some out of town guests and they raved about the entire experience, especially the margaritas. it was great to see our favorite server, travis, back again. his service has always been first class and he surely knows how to make us feel welcome.

amazing!. new to urban spoon but not to aldacos!
my wife and i absolutely love the atmosphere, the view, and everything! we usually stick to our one favorite of everything, the tacos al pastor for an appetizer, the marisol for myself, the chile relleno with shrimp and the addicting cilantro sauce, and of course our preferred waiter travis..who is exceptional in the way he serves. overall blanca aldaco has the winning recipe!

best mexican food ever. one of my favorite restaurants in houston is gringo's mexican kitchen. the food and presentation is splendid. it was recently replaced by aldaco's stone oak. my wife tried the chile relleno al cilantro and i had pollo al cilantro & camaron al chipotle. neither one of us had ever tasted such variety nor subtle flavors in a mexican dish. the best we have had to date. as neither of us are young anymore and have traveled and dined throughout texas, the us and canada, we believe it is a tribute to blanca aldaco's recipes and superb talent. my wish is that she would open a restaurant in houston so a larger audience can appreciate her fine food.

i get hungry just thinking about it.... the restaurant itself and the view are really nice. the drinks are great, usually margaritas or micheladas for me.

my favorite things on the menu: al pastor tacos, enchiladas verdes, chile relleno al cilantro.

you won't be disappointed!

the best. aldaco's is the best. it has a great menu, staff, atmosphere and of course the view. let me not forget "blanca" who is always making the rounds greeting her regular customers and new ones. she is a charmer.

margarita's and yummy food. no matter which one you have it will be the best!!! my personal fav at the moment is the zesty...the food is so delicioso that i cannot even describe it! i love the chile relleno's. blanca has created the best restaurant around, from drinks, to food to view and atmosphere. we love aldacos...thank you blanca.

delicious food!. i have many, many favorite dishes at aldaco's. too many to list. so i won't brag about the food this time...but i will brag about the presentation. when the food is brought to your table, it is neat and appetizing with a true home-made look. the food is authentic yet unique. unlike just about every other mexican restaurant where their presentations look microwaved, melted, and connected with a common ingredient..

weekly hang out. from the first week it opened i love this place. the view, the service and best of all the food! blanca is a wonderful person and her energy radiates in this beautiful atmosphere. try it once and you'll be back each week. see you there!

very proud. creech, you have done it again! you continue to seek out every opportunity to bring people to your restaurant. after 20 years, you still have your heart in aldaco's100%. fresh food! fresh hand shaken margarita's! clean! quality! service! value! view! great lunch prices! chef andres 20 years of service with you! amazing!

the girls and i are very proud of you, keep up the passion for the next 20 years.
