aldaco's margaritas rock!. i lovealdaco'sat stone oak. the food is incredible, the view on the patio stunning, and the margaritas are the best!

we likealdaco'sand come here often. it seems that since the one at the dominion opened the quality has slipped a bit. the chips taste like the ones you get in the huge bags at heb. i used to slways remark about how good the chips were. no more. our meal today was just so-so. makes me sad. hope blanca comes to the rescue here & brings it back to the excellent place it was even one year ago.

great casual dining. we were in san antonio for a convention and wanted to get away for an evening. the concierge at the jw marriott suggestedaldaco'sand we were thrilled with the suggestion. some in our party ordered the fajitas and others order the enchiladas and everyone was happy. we had a great server and even better meal. thank you!

top-notch mexican food. the overall rating is surprisingly low.

in a city overflowing with mexican restaurants,aldaco'sis one of the best. in the stone oak area, it is my favorite upscale mexican eatery. we have eaten here at least 20 times, so this is based on our overall experience. ambiance is upscale but comfortable and not snooty or stuffy. ample indoor seating. weather permitting, there is a large deck with a great view of san antonio. a newly added tarp keeps the elements at bay. the staff are always prompt, attentive, and friendly. service speed varies, but is reasonably fast. chips (yeah, i'm talking chips!) are thick, fresh, and crunchy. they don't taste like typical nasty bag chips you get at most places. salsas are awesome. the food consistently arrives nicely presented, piping hot, fresh and tasty. the best thing about aldaco's, for me, is their list of top-notch margaritas. they've won several awards and we've tried them all. sure, you have ask for a cheapy house margarita made from mix, but we're top-shelfers and have tried just about every margarita in town. these are easily amongst the best. you can taste the qualify of the tequila and the fresh ingredients. no fake sugary flavors here. yum! if you're into desserts (seriously, how often do you have room left for dessert after eating mexican), the few times we've tried them they've been dee-lish. the only negative is that their prices a bit steep, but not out of line given the location.

excellent food (selection and quality). great patio view too; chips and roasted garlic salsa is possibly the best in the city; staff provides great service; the owner, blanca aldaco, is usually on-site, greeting the customers and making sure that everyone has a great dining experience; bar service is great... they make "world class" margaritas and bloody mary's; like la fonda, mi tierra, los barrios, casa rio and jacala,aldaco'sis a great "destination" mexican restaurant. it is definitely worth driving a few extra miles to the far northside of town for the experience. reasonably priced too! enjoy!

great food, service and ambiance!. simply put - if you don't likealdaco'sthen you have issues. the service was fantastic!!! the food was delicious and very reasonable. the patio seating was a gift from god that was meant to be shared by all. thank you to everyone on staff ataldaco'sand i will be recommending this place to all my family and friends!!!! bravo to you!

hostess. our clients asked for it and we listened. the patio is now smoke-free. that makesaldaco'sstone oak 100% smoke-free. enjoy!

greasy spoon. in my quest to try out new restaurants, i encouraged my husband to go to lunch ataldaco'sstone oak. its very very greasy. tortilla chips served at the table leave grease on your lips. we ordered the chicken quesadillas and the fajita platter. the quesadillas were soaked in grease and the fajita platter was only marginally better. literally 15 mins after we both have stomach aches and regret our lunch out. it has to the be the worst restaurant we have visited in san antonio.

so this is my second visit toaldaco'sstone oak and i must say it's better the second time around! the food is as always excellent! the waiter (didn't get her name) waited our table near the window was impeccable. what really topped off the evening was the bartender who made our margaritas, omg!

excellent food! however, if you plan to use your credit card to pay for your meal, be aware that they charge what they call 'alittle room for tip' on top of your bill even if you leave a tip on the table.. they said once the card is processed it will deduct the original amount of the bill. in other words i am not authorizing you to take out tips on my card and will pay cash on my next visit.

aldaco's stone oak - wonderful!!.aldaco'sat stone oak is a great restaurant, one of the best in san antonio and perfect for us to bring the kids up to! the view is outstanding and the environment, margaritas and micheladas, and location are much more pleasant on top of the hill rather than down in sunset station. apparently this travis waiter is the go to guy, so next time ill be sure to ask for him to make it even more outstanding.

great food, great service!. i've had the pleasure of dining ataldaco'snumerous times and have found the food to be consistently great, not to mention the fabulous views. i recently took some out of town guests and they raved about the entire experience, especially the margaritas. it was great to see our favorite server, travis, back again. his service has always been first class and he surely knows how to make us feel welcome.

best mexican food ever. one of my favorite restaurants in houston is gringo's mexican kitchen. the food and presentation is splendid. it was recently replaced byaldaco'sstone oak. my wife tried the chile relleno al cilantro and i had pollo al cilantro & camaron al chipotle. neither one of us had ever tasted such variety nor subtle flavors in a mexican dish. the best we have had to date. as neither of us are young anymore and have traveled and dined throughout texas, the us and canada, we believe it is a tribute to blancaaldaco'srecipes and superb talent. my wish is that she would open a restaurant in houston so a larger audience can appreciate her fine food.

the best.aldaco'sis the best. it has a great menu, staff, atmosphere and of course the view. let me not forget "blanca" who is always making the rounds greeting her regular customers and new ones. she is a charmer.
