agashiye - the house of mg

being a hardcore non-vegetarian i really had second thoughts to visit this place and spend a lot of money on a veg thali. but i convinced my self to see what it is that i’m spending 1800 bucks on.

1st convincing factor is the royal ambience, silver platters and the staff with warm smiles.

2nd convincing factor is the taste andqualityof food. though a limited menu.., every thing served is at its best.

3rd factor is that the staff makes sure u taste everything and make sure u r overloaded.

no doubt spending so much on veg is still not convincing for a pure non veg lover, but it is surely something to be experienced.

we 5 person took lunch on sunday to have better time with friends and family.
as contrary to my previous 6 visits, this time food was very bad. it was very blend and absolutely tasteless .
and to my surprise my wife and me both got gi infection ( absolutely in typical time frame - incubation period and no other food taken afterwards). being gi surgeon , i wanted to avoid unhygienic restaurants to avoid gi infection especially in this post monsoon period.
their chutney bottles were so dirty and food was not upto the mark this time. so anyone wants to visit this restaurant , have a serious thought once again.
we expect better hygienic food especially from restaurant charging more than rs.7000 for 5 person and should retrospect themselves regardingqualityof food.

food was undoubtedly amazing. the taste as well as thequalitywas appreciable. the only thing i didn’t like was the packing of the thaali. earlier they used to give it in plastic boxes but now they’ve started giving it in a plastic plate covered with aluminium foil. the food was leaking. rest everything was amazing.

first time i have ordered from here... as price was little high for a thali, i expected more quantity... but quantity was less than usual thali... butqualitywas good so quantity can be compromised.. tastewise good... packeging was nice.... overall good experience👍

full marks to food, undoubtedly of very goodquality(taste however is just above normal). however my average ratings are due to exorbitant pricing! for rs, 1395 for buffet dinner, it way way expensive! this price is just to much!!! the restaurant area is just normal and nothing extraordinary; its maintained in an old-fashioned way and that's what the usp is acclaimed. in my view, the place is just to be tried once and that's it!! i would suggest the hotel management to lower the prices, although not drastically and attract more food lovers!!

the perfect gujarat food experience. thequalityof the food served is top class. the staff is courteous. if you have one night in ahmedabad , make it at agashiye! super location .

one of the best heritage restaurant of ahmedabad where you can try authentic gujarati dish where excellent foodqualitydelicious taste and yes courteous staff and also they brief you about food platter and ambience is also wow factor ! highly recommend and feel that vibes. go ahmedabadi go.

one of the best experiences i have had... the gujrathi thali is awesome 👏 will recommend to come here with a empty stomach 😊 every thing they served was just perfect 👌 💯 ....the property has some great vibes and the food here was just awesome , the price of a thali is a bit expensive but for thequalityof food you get it’s worth it ....would surely recommend this place to family and friends👍👍

this was my 2nd time going to this beautiful place, we went there on sunday 23rd of june. i first went there 3 years ago and it was one of the best experience ever, but not the same this time around. they have a menu on display on the zomato app and i wanted to confirm if they’ll serve the same thing or there will be changes. they said it will be the same, but when we reached there we saw a different menu on display, but anyway we were fine with it. what was wrong with the experience was the food itself, it didn’t feel fresh and all 5 of us felt the discomfort later. it made us assume there was excessive use of soda, we felt thirsty until next morning which never happened at other places. they didn’t serve aam ras which was on the menu, they did not have fulka rotis which is weird. considering that they charge alot for the thali a simple thing like a fulka roti should always be there on the menu, it is literally the most basic and important part of the thali. we are from mumbai so spending up to 1000-1500 per person is no new thing for us, but we’d suggest and appreciate if they took this into consideration and not take it as a complaint. they said there’s rajbhog for icecream and served mango, they didn’t serve fulkas as it wasn’t on their menu, they didn’t serve aam ras which was on the menu, the veggies had excessive use of coconut in it and the khichdi felt reheated and the rice was too mashed. really sorry to say it was a struggle to even try and finish the varities on the menu on the first serving. i’ve felt the inferiority ofqualitybefore at the green house as well but assumed it can happen some time but now that i felt that again it’s a shame that i had to doubt thequalityafter spending alot.
