this is a classy place for international cuisine in trivandrum. the ambience is the best in trivandrum. it’s quiet and elegant. the pizza, pasta and churros are the best in the city.

even 5 star restaurant's are cheaper than this place. food is very expensive compared to the standards and amount. place looks nice well maintained, service was also good.

#brilliantambience #fabulousservice #bitpricy i loved the ambience and the authenticity of kerala cuisine displayed. cost was high but one time for sure. platter should be refined... quantity or variety should be increased...

villa maya is place to pleasure all your senses. the ambience is top notch and you will love what you see. the sound of water flowing and falling along with heritage music will be a delight for your ears. the aroma around you will make you love the place even more. coming to the most important sense, 'taste' is what will pull you to villa again.
iceing on the cake is the warm and prompt service. on request i was given a hut table decorated with flowers, scented candles around my table and a complimentary cake.
altogether it will prove to be one of the most beautiful and romantic places you would find in india.

probably the best restaurant during my visit to trivandrum. full marks to ambience. tastefully decorated. it feels as if you are having food in the middle of a waterbody. the staff was very polite and the service was good. wanted to try out authentic kerala food therefore ordered meen nirachathu (grilled fish with lentil rice). tasted really good. they also served a welcome drink with a crisp bread and beetroot yogurt (see picture). the chicken starter and local biryani was also good. overall outstanding experience. strongly recommend and hope to visit again. tip: reservations recommended.

came with my parents for lunch. loved the place and the food. excellent ambience and great food. we tried some north indian food and traditional and continental desserts. everything was awesome! a little pricey, but worth the experience and food. if you are in trivandrum, you must try this place!

if ambience is what you rate high, this is the restraunt you should go in trivandrum. villa maya heritage restaurant -  as the name suggest, one of the heritage homes converted into restraunt without disturbing the class.  there are seating arrangements done inside and an open air too. if its not raining i will suggestt the open air seating. with ample greenery and natural light + breeze, its ideal for a date or a candle light dinner.
the food is good, may be a little over priced compared to other restaurants in the city. the presentation of the food is also  good.  i have tried the biriyani, appam, chicken mughalai. their desssert menu is not vast, but offer some cool varities. the service is too good here.

based in a dutch manor, once housed the of ruler of travancore, is absolutely a grand finass. what amazed me was the inside garden and facade floating in water, as if you are in the middle of backwaters. it's was drizzling in the late evening when i entered the place, it was so surreal and scintillating, that one can barely resist getting flown away.!
the dining area and the decor speaks volumes of the heritage and modernity. moreover it's a authentic fusion and can be termed as modern classic!.
without doubt it's unparallel restaurant in trivandrum in terms of ambiance. but it's not the only thing, getting down to the pulp and nerve of the place is it's food. it's so authentic , so delicious, so palatable, so delectable, so flavourful that i bet is a class apart.!
the cuisine is appetising mixer of keralite, sea food, north indian and italian. one can choose from the wide list of delicacy and the best part is that the staff will help you in finding what's best suitable for your palate. even the manager of the place is very gracious, humble and carries intricate gastronomical knowledge!
its a place which gets stiched to your memory and palate. hoping to see you soon!

an old “amma veedu” dating back to the royal era converted to a heritage restaurant obviously has a charm of its own along with a few quirks. as the structure of the home has been maintained, the place is a collection of large and small rooms rather than a symmetrically laid out dining room. this is part of its charm and a bit of a drawback as well. the interior is air-conditioned and nothing short of an actual visit can give you a hint of the amazing feat they have achieved. they have created a water based theme outdoors with thatched seating. many of the relics, we were told, date back hundreds of years and are priceless. the place is definitely worth a visit.

coming to the food, its good in terms of taste and presentation. portion size is sufficient for two light eaters to share. the food leaves you with a pleasantly full tummy rather than a heavy one. and they do accommodate special requests like vegan food wherever possible. service is also decent though needs improvement considering the price they charge.

we were a large group and hence managed to taste several items. two items that linger on the tongue are the “meen nirachathu” and “wattalappam”. wattalappam is an ethnic version of the caramel pudding which we highly recommend.

to wrap up, the place is a must visit if your wallet can afford it. expect to spend a thousand bucks per head at least. reservations are recommended. if you love celebrity spotting, you will definitely enjoy dining here.

the place earns its charm for her beautiful ambience! the food selection was once great, but now found limited, being only focused more on kerala cuisine. we miss your tenderloin steaks! a bit too dimly lit, the place demands a bomb for your dish.

extremely over priced. especially when you consider the fact that taj might be a cheaper option. food was decent.

plus they charge 20 rs water bottle at 70 or 80 rs with no option for regular water. even 5 star hotels have regular water option. won't be visiting again.
