villa maya heritage restaurant

bumped into this place accidentally when we were aroundtrivandrumcity. but turned out to be one of the best dinner experience.
ambience - it's a palace turned into villa maya with royal decors amd interiors. i wouldn't call it a restaurant because it doesn't look like a normal restaurant. ambience is that amazing.
staff - very courteous. mr. rajesh recommended some good choices as per our preference. the main chef also made it a point to speak to the customers as far as possible and take direct feedback.
menu - they have limited items on the menu to offer. but whatever they have is a bit different and worth a try.
we ordered a sweet potato based starter, prawns biriyani and tiramisu.
we were served with lemon and pinapple mixed welcome drink which was refreshing, along with a piece of papdi chat.
the starter sweet potato balls (mathurakizhangu) was something different than the usual ones we have in restaurants. sweet potato had cheese fillings with tadka. served along with green chutney.
prawns biriyani - very well cooked with proper flavour (nothing too much). didn't feel heavy at all. by this you can make out that there is no soda or any other preservatives added to this food (soda that makes you feel heavy after eating). one biriyani portion was sufficient enough for two people.
tiramisu - is their signature dessert. it has brownie and chocolate sauce covered with a den shaped chocolate layer, on which hot caramel sauce is poured. served along with ice cream. it is definitely delicious. different experience.
the team also took care of covid safety precautions.
price - well, you will be surprised. considering this one of the best restaurants in india and with various worldwide recognitions, we felt the pricing was fair enough for such amazing taste and experience. definitely worth it.

i don’t think there is a restaurant intrivandrumto compare with villa maya. excellent service and quality food. ambience is superb. thanks to the chef, thanks to villa maya

we have been looking for a good kerala authentic restaurant intrivandrumas we were traveling from mumbai.. this place was the right one.. excellent authentic food, serene ambience,
initial service experience was not to our expectations but then mr murali the manager and chef partha made it all right.

if you are swinging bytrivandrumor if you want to go to a fancy place for that special occasion then look no further. the ambience is 5 star and the food covers the typical malyali affair. the taste is good but tempered for the tourists palate. a must go to place overall!

fellow foodies, let me introduce y'all to these aesthetic dishes displayed from villa maya, the restaurant which has won many notable awards globally by the luxury restaurant awards which is indeed a commendable feat

before i start, i'll be pointing out the dishes based on numericals from left to right. so my friend and i started off with their soups - tom kha gai (1) and nalli shorba (2), then ordered a starter - erachi chuttu idichathu (3), then moved on to the main course - chicken fricassee (4),
moroccan lamb tagine (5) and trio of paneer (6). we have concluded with this due to time constraints.

now when it comes to the price of these dishes, it is going to leave my foodies baffled. so as to justify their price, this is not your everyday casual dining spot as it provides a state of the art dining experience intrivandrumas the set up brings out a tropical as well as a holiday vibe, so while at villa maya, make sure it is for a memorable occassion with your loved ones. we had their non veg thali...the portion sizes were just right.. food was great...all in all it was a memorable experience...next time will definitely go for their candlelight dinner experience..

it’s definitely one of the best places i have ever been to . everything is just so amazing, the food , the ambience, the staff so cooperative and polite . each and every dish is made with precision and performs tastes just so amazing. everyone should definitely go here if you are intrivandrumothouou are definitely going to miss out to great food and ambience.

i was recommended this place by a friend of mine and inspite of the fact that i was intrivandrumfor a few hours went here for dinner. i am so glad that i did that. the ambience is brilliant as you can see from the pictures. you do need to step out in the garden to get a good view of the villa. the service was brilliant and the staff are really courteous and friendly. the food was very good. tried the chicken makhmali which was well flavoured tender and the condiments along with it were equally good. the chefs pineapple chutney is definitely with a try. chicken curry along with a small portion of dal was equally good. very reasonable and good value for money
if there was a glass of wine with the food i would have been in heaven.

restaurant provides great ambience , one of the best restaurants intrivandrumto spend quality time with friends. and don't worry about the food it will be a class apart.

the rating here is very much justified.
the place has great ambiance, awsome food and friendly staff. tried a special nariyal paani soup and its unique and tasty. chana masala cooked in tea water for taste, was another interesting thing. so was every other thing in my order.

if you are in trivandrum, this place is a must visit.

a royal experience

had visitedtrivandrumfor work and had some time to kill and visited this place... my oh my... was in for a true surprise .. right from the time we entered, it was a real royal experience....

the ambience of the place is out of the world... with water bodies around, you feel like you have transported to a different world... the food was also very yummy... we had the kerala roast chicken and beef fry.... the dish was served with appams.... the portion size was just right... the dishes were a good balance of spice and taste....

i really wished i had some more time to truly enjoy this place, it's ambience and tasty food...

if in trivandrum, this place 100% warrants a visit...

the best dining experience intrivandrumthus far. the food, the hospitality and the vibes the place gives you are something. it makes you come here again and again.

based in a dutch manor, once housed the of ruler of travancore, is absolutely a grand finass. what amazed me was the inside garden and facade floating in water, as if you are in the middle of backwaters. it's was drizzling in the late evening when i entered the place, it was so surreal and scintillating, that one can barely resist getting flown away.!
the dining area and the decor speaks volumes of the heritage and modernity. moreover it's a authentic fusion and can be termed as modern classic!.
without doubt it's unparallel restaurant intrivandrumin terms of ambiance. but it's not the only thing, getting down to the pulp and nerve of the place is it's food. it's so authentic , so delicious, so palatable, so delectable, so flavourful that i bet is a class apart.!
the cuisine is appetising mixer of keralite, sea food, north indian and italian. one can choose from the wide list of delicacy and the best part is that the staff will help you in finding what's best suitable for your palate. even the manager of the place is very gracious, humble and carries intricate gastronomical knowledge!

the perfect date spot. an old villa renovated to set the perfect romantic mood for the evening. the continental cuisine dishes managed to excite me and my friends even though the price is kind of hard to justify. the indian cuisine dishes like the beef fry and parotta was a let down though. still would suggest this place to everyone istrivandrumlooking for that perfect romantic night with your special someone
