one of the best and iconic eatery of old bengaluru. well this place has some good vibes and ambience. it's one of the oldest restaurants of bengaluru, the interiors give you the 1980s feeling, old walls, picture frames of old bangalore and some renowned personalities. old table seatings, glad they haven't changed a lot, also ensuring nothing is worn-out.

we have had masala dosa, khari bath, kesari bath, vada-sambar and washed it down the throat by a strong refreshing filtercoffee!! the crispy dosa makes your tastebuds flabbergasted....too good. and the sambar will definitely blow your brains off, it's perfect, tangy, sweet with right amount of spices.

reaching this place is not an issue but finding a parking is. this is definitely a must visit place whenever you wish, you do require patience to stand outside and wait for your turn. they do run on first-come-first-serve basis. worth visiting if you live in bangalore.

tried the masala dosa, idli & filtercoffeehere and none of them were up to the mark nor worth the hype.

the dosa was oily and the aloo inside was tasteless. chutney was bland and the filtercoffeewas absolutely average. the sambhar was the only saving grace, although a bit on the sweeter side.

this place has a history and it is well known for its authentic masala dosa which is crispy and delicious. i visited it recently and was spellbound by its uniqueness. taste was top notch as i have ordered two types of masala dosas. one was normal masala dosa and other was dosa filled with a different type of masala. and i ended my meal withcoffeeat the end
as it was a sunday it was jam packed. i recommend to people who are planning to go sundays pls go early and grab a place there.

one of the oldest places in bangalore, i was excited to visit this place. and went all the way from north of bangalore to south bangalore on a sunday early morning to have some good breakfast.

first of all know that i have never been here before so i can't compare the quality before and the one now. sure would help to make it a point to be there by 7:30 for lesser wait time and give your name at the counter so they can call you once the table is ready. you would have to share it with fellow banagloreans.

we tried everything that was on the menu it won't go beyond 150 rupees per person (max). quantity is perfect for a small human like me. four stars because the chutney lacked salt, masala dosa was thicker than expected and lacked masala and the main dishes were swimming in the side dishes. but that was just a personal preference.

my experience was great! i personally loved the khara baath but masala dosa was ordinary. kesari baath and filtercoffeeis a must try and a definite show stopper. some people complained about the bitter coffee, but thiscoffeeis as authentic as it gets.

75 years and counting, this place did not disappoint! would go back when i go for another long drive :p

it's called a legendary outlet for some reason. the crunchy masala dose , the strong filtercoffeeit's just too good . keep some time as there is a huge waiting line just to get in the restaurant but it's worth the wait

amazingly crisp dosa full of ghee..slightly thicker than the usual dosas but very filling and tasty. the bhaji that came with the masala dosa was mild and nice too. the vada was crisp and wholesome, khara bhat was good too and thecoffeedelicious. very light on the pocket. there can be some wait for a table and you will most likely have to share it with someone.

undoubtedly, one of the best places for dosa ever. this most famous oldie in the town is known for attracting crowd all days in the week by giving the best tasty signature dosas in namma bengaluru. maybe you'll have to spend about an hour or so waiting in the queue for your number, finding a seat for yourself and finally catch-hold of someone to place your order. but doing all of this is really worth as soon as you bite the very first piece of dosa from your plate!! do try idli, khara baath, kesari baath, and ending with a strong filtercoffeewill make it a perfect one!

heard a lot of good and bad reviews of this place so i finally visited to judge it myself. the place is almost always packed and this time we got a table straight away. since it was evening they didnt have any medu vadas. we tried the masala dosa which was quite crispy on the outside and soft from within. we also had the chow chow bath and the rava vada which was decent. they dont have tea here but onlycoffeewhich is okay. i mean the food here is decent i just dont get why its so crowded though.

this was my first time visit to this legendary place. it was really worth going here. one of the best dosa you can have in bangalore ( they add soo much ghee) , filtercoffeewas also one of the best in bangalore. this place is really worth visit. service is slow here. tea was not good , i wouldn't recommend it. sagu dosa was best, should definitely try it.

i have been visiting this place since childhood and it is more than 40 years now, and i was introduced to this place by my father who used to come to vidyarthi as a child in 1930-40. the nostalgia part of it notwithstanding, they prepare one of the best masala dosa, of course oily, buttery..but who cares...the waiters carrying 25-30 plates on each trip to the kitchen and the spicy chutney that goes with masala dosa is just an amazing gastronomic experience. i am not a big fan of theircoffeethough, a bit too much chicory.
