the ambiance is old fashioned village in half portions and normal sitting in second half.. the food is good what time of a year u will go they will serve u with the one starter.. it's a nice silent place to have dinner, and its not overcrowded at any time as there costumers are limited

after hearing so much about this restaurant, i finally decided to try it's south indian.
the food was normal, nothing more than ordinary.
service is fast. ambience is nice, i especially like their seating.

i have visited the place only once with my family for dinner and i didn't like the place much and would try not to visit it again.
the quantities were amazingly less but giving this fact the prices were high.
the cuisine was a south indian one.(my favorite) and i have a fair idea of the tastes it offers so we ordered few dishes and none of them had the taste i thought. the mysore masala dosa lacked the layer of this chutney.
the only good thing was garlic chilly paneer.
the ambience was nice and service was good.

one of the best places to eat in allahabad. although the menu is biased towards south indian food,  the chinese is also good. i have tried cheese masala dosa, masala dosa, uttapam and chowmein. all these delicacies were exquisite. the ambience is rural themed and serene. bollywood oldies' music is pleasant. the service is okay. time to sit back and relax and have a nice meal.

their service and ambiance are awesome. i would recommend their pizza idli, cheese dosa and vegetable choup suey. their welcome drink just adds to the good food experience.

this themed restaurant is one of its kind in allahabad. you sit on the floor and eat over low lying tables. the lights and deco is good. food is authentic too.

typical south indian dosas are available here and taste if like food without masala and if you love masala then this place is definitely not for you. seats are not comfortable. this place sucks in customer service.

this restaurant is decent enough to go on a dine with family! the food is delicious. also they serve a refreshing welcome beverage which is very tasty. its open till late so need to worry for the reservations either.
make a plan and enjoy tamarind!

i used to hangout here for some deliciously cooked south indian food in pure butter in my school times. i came here after ages. so that same charm they are maintaining still in this restaurant setup. they successfully able create that south indian touch by uniforms of service people and kala khatta welcome drink. we ordered their dosa with lots of mushroom and cheese. you have to compromise on your health for that. extra hours in the gym today ;) . sambhar and tomato garlic chatni tasted better eliminating the coconut chatni. good work people for maintaining the quality and ambience.

nice location, beautiful ambiance, courteous staff and amazing south indian food. this place has it all. went to this place with family and friends. tried hands on rawa idly, kutumb dosa, and lemon rice. all was excellent. 
a paradise for south indian food lovers.

my favourite restaurant in all of allahabad though the staff needs to lighten up. the best place for south indian in the city and the chinese isn't all that bad either. the ambience is amazing. though i really wish they had a more courteous and polite staff.

first restaurant that i visited in allahabad. name was enough to guess that this place offers south indian cuisine. parking place is easily available nearby.
about the decor, restaurant is beautifully decorated with rural village sort of antique ambience which is quite soothing.
you are served with rasam as soon as you grab a table. staff is polite and friendly. these pretty little things definitely create a decent first impression about this place.
when it comes to food, i found it quite tasteless. the quantity of spices used in their food was quite meager to satisfy a north indian's palette. food isn't expensive, though you don't feel it worth the bucks.
i'd recommend dosa plaza or sagar ratna in allahabad if you are looking forward to a south indian cuisine dine in.

used to visit this restra during school days....one of our bestest outing place....welcome drink which is offered in summer is just fabulous..food and service is fantastic...must visit place for south indian n chinese food...??

use to visit this place in my undergrad days.i am a real fan of this place .the place has a great ambience and food here is superb. i loved the fact abt the place tht they use to experiment with their food..aprt from serving their regular stuff.the food here is great and prices are affordable too.one should definitely go to this place
