one of the worse experience in allahabad.
a. disgusting food-low salt in dosa aka phika, idly: seems like they washed idly in water and served, chutney and sambhar with degraded taste.
b. wet floor: dress got drenched with water even the fallen wallet got complete wet.
c. with this taste, the rate was sky high. paid rs 520 inclusive of rs 90 as tax, what a waste.

not a restaurant to visit.

i visited this place for lunch. i was told that this was a good place to go with partner as the ambience gives sort of a privacy kinda feeling. i found the ambience quite convincing until power went off. they don't have proper power backup and also they don't have back up for all tables (pathetic)

as far as chinese is concerned, the food was really good, vegetable manchurian was tasty as well as properly presented and the fried rice tossed with garlic and mushrooms with bamboo shoots was also good.

the cuisine (south indian) for which this place is famous was must to try if you are visiting this place. we ordered fried mini idly and rawa kesari (usually known as 'kesari bath' in south india).
both of south indian items were a huge disappointment, only sambhar was good.

i would recommend to go this place and try basic south indian food instead of so many fancy items at this price level.

now this was a case of an awesome restaurant in our dear old allahabad. the ethnic look of the restaurant, the appetizer offered on your table makes it fully indian, if a little 'south' before indian. being weird we decided to try mushroom and cheese dosa and it was deliciously mouthwatering. had filter coffee after a long time, me being a bit more black coffee person found it okay but my friend found it much better than the hot coffee brew generally offered.

i have been a lover of south of indian cuisine and always looked for new and traditional south of indian food. however, i always end up finding idli and dosa and other such items but with tamarind tree, that is not the case.
the south indian thali is a bliss. specially koottu, appallam and poriyal gives the authenticity. and, no matter what, don't miss rasam. they are damm good at it.
the ambiance is also quite soothing and you will find it beautiful. however, the serving is not up to the mark. you will have to continously call them to get your order place. rest is pretty good.

only pure south indian restaurant with chinese cuisine. half part of restaurant is decorated traditional. seat arrangementon ground with small tables. and half part is general table n chairs.

food is delicious but north indians will only like dosa, utppam n idly or chinese foods. because i didn't like food made in coconut oil and vegetable of coconuts.
all waiters were wearing lungi kurta.
well decorated restaurant in allahabad with best south indian cuisine
