this is one of the places to be in whole of allahabad. everything from the welcome drink to the food is amazing. filter coffee is very good. the service and ambience is wonderful. south indian is the best thing here along with so many varities such as cheesedosaetc. and the chinese too is good. a reasonable and a good place to go to.

just awful is what this place was
we sat on one of their booths in bright afternoon and it was infected with mosquitoes 🦟
coming to the food
my sister ordered noodles with manchuria and it was so oily that she couldn’t have more than a couple of bites.
my husband had vada sambar with the gheedosaand that was above average ( the vada was cold )
i had the meals and was very upset with the quality of the food.
i had heard praises about this place that led me visit here but was very dissatisfied

this is a nice cozy place for authentic south indian food, the best south indian i have had in allahabad. the place is quite spacious with sitting arrangements on the floors with cushions , tables nicely arranged for groups , families or even a couple. the staff is welcoming and will greet you with a smile.

you may have to wait to get a seat sometimes. and i must admit the service is quite slow compared to other south indian places which is way faster.

you are welcomed with a refreshing jaljeera drink.

do try the mini south indian thali or the mini tiffin they serve puri sabji and some other chutney which are mostly cooked in coconut oil i think. it's gives perfect south indian taste.

try the rasam with appalam which is also a part of the thali. i wanted to try some thing other than masaladosaand the mysore butter was a great change it was different than the regular dosas i have had.

they have variety of idlis and also uttapam , i wish to try them at my next visit.

a recommended south indian place.

my wife had been to the cafe once and had raved about the food. i was a little sceptical but am a sucker for dosas so off we went again

the good

ambience. efficient, chilled out, a little miserly

the bad

we literally had to fall at their two feet to get them to switch on the a/c

the ugly

food, food, food. it is one thing to serve food, cooked by incompetent chefs, quite another to serve, stale, reheated almost unsafe food. a summary is as follows

dosas - batter had gone bad so it was sour. i wished, i had a time machine to go back in time and savour thedosafrom about 3 days ago?

upma - if the dosas were the eye opener, the upma sealed the deal. the veggies had gone bad, a while back and looked slimy and tasted unsafe.

the noodles that we ordered were fine, no complaints.
i have had bad food before. this was downright unethical of them to serve bad food and charge a bomb still

it's known for its south indian dishes especially the varieties ofdosaavailable there. the ambiance of the staff there is good and i loved the idea of giving jal jeera the moment you sit in your table as a starter.

had been dere with family. ambience and service is gud 4 out of 5. but food quality was pathetic, onlydosaand idli were available. we ordered masala dosa, cheese masala and paneer dosa, masala ofdosawas tasteless. even sambhar and chatni was also very bad in taste. food 1 out of 5. not recommended if u are looking for some authentic south indian food.

i visit this place first tym, its a small south indian restaurant which has beautiful interiors n exterior... i like the ambience the chair are beautifully wove with threads, interior are beautiful with dim light.. now let's come for food, i didn't like the food i tried idli ndosawhich was not upto the mark...dosawas lit fine but idli was not so good... overall the staff were good but service was slow....

this restaurant offers a wide range of south indian dishes with a twist. thedosamenu itself consists of two pages, each dish ensuring the preservation of taste of the dosas.
my favourites would be onion pakoda (vengaya pakoda) to accompany it with a filter coffee, served in a mud cup as starters. the south indian thali offered by tamarind tree reminds of home with its perfectly done sambar, rasam, curries and a cup of curd. if you want to indulge your taste buds in authentic south indian, i suggest you to try this restaurant out.
the ambience is lowly lit, with fans in some corners of the room. during the summers, on specific days, they provide tamarind water to allow the body to cool down. soft music along with perfectly served meals allows you to enjoy and savour every moment. the price is a little too expensive.

the most attractive thing about this place is it's ambiance , it has small huts and village like decorations with beautifull seatings areas , dim yellow light and got cozy vibes.
their sand decoration on tables is something creative.

service is prompt .

they serve south indian and chinese meals .
food is good in taste for the cost they charge.
i tried their masaladosa, butter paneer masaladosa, munchow soup spring rolls and midnight beauty mocktail , all tasted good .

they also serve welcome drinks in starting , but we got that drink only on one of my visit on other two visits they didn't offer any welcome drinks .

food is good and tasty with a typical south indian taste brought closer to the north . packaging ofdosacan and must be improved . at present it comes in long open sleeve envelopes .

it is a nice place to hangout for couples and small group of friends. food here is ok. staff is also gud. its masaladosais not upto the mark.

dosa was 9/10.
ambience was 10/10 , perfect for family excursion.
service a bit slow 7/10.
overall if you want a authentic taste of south indian food ,you should give it a try i'm sure it may not disappoint you ♥️
