my sister took me here after raving about the food - she's a big fan of american /canadiancuisine. the poutine is nice but i'm just not a big fan. the burgers are juicy. the staff are really friendly, love a chat!

served raw chicken. i amcanadianand visiting the area so i decided to try out the stuffed beaver as they advertise to be canadian. they didn't have anycanadianbeers at all so i had to resort to drinking a can of coors. then i tried the bbq chicken wings and they were raw. i ended up sending them back after eating one and finding it red and bloody inside. they didn't charge me for the wings and massively overcharged for a can of bad beer (7.50). the atmosphere is not even remotely canadian. i strongly recommend going somewhere else.

*** review for their semi-newish crows nest venue *** same menu ****i wish i lived closer to crows nest because stuffed beaver and i are a perfect match. it’s my kind of food porn. beers, burgers, chili dogs, poutine, and all the greats of a goodcanadiandiner. and of course, moon dog in a tin. come to daddy!

honestly the worst service i've ever experienced. loved findingcanadianfood here in sydney, especially poutine but won't be returning as the staff couldn't have been any less helpful. spent in total two hours waiting for food. part of order never showed up even after asking, wrong food delivered after an hour wait. left to eat our meals without any drinks even after asking multiple times...ending up just stealing water off the table next to us. their food is quite enjoyable but much of a let down with service.

the pictures make it out to be a big location. was very small and stuffy. burgers were very oily my husband was actually sick after eating there. freckle fries weren't that great. service is very slow for a small location. really wanted to like this place cause i havecanadianfriends which tell me how goodcanadianfood is but this place was a let down.

the stuffed beaver is definitely the place to go when you feel like getting stuffed with 'dam' delicious man-food. i'm not sure howcanadianthis diner is, but who dam cares!? (ok i'll stop with the dam puns now) i went with a group of 6 and we luckily all fit in one of their booths.. 6 was a tight squeeze, even with some quite large bodies, so i was quite surprised we did end up fitting, i was expecting to sit across 2 booths after seeing the photos of the interior.  the tightness didn't bother us as we were close friends, on the booths across from us along the right-hand side, are 2-person booths for more intimate dinners.

the food was outrageously excellent, and service was outstanding as well. johnny and the gang do a great job with making dining at the stuffed beaver such an enjoyable and fun experience!

the sup dog ($10) was so good, i ate this all without leaving anything behind. other stand outs were the classic poutine ($15) (you must order this when you visit this place, no question to it), the hot wings ($12) and carne nachos ($15).

out of the cocktails i recommend the stormy jerry ($16), it was the table favourite and best spiced rum with ginger beer i've ever had. that drink along with some trivia games within the group (highlight was to name everycanadiancelebrity we can on the top of our heads) certainly kept us going till the diner closed.

i'm eager beaver to come back here - johnny has promised to add a filipino addition to the menu soon - adobo tacos - i'll be definitely first in line if this does happen!! :d

the highlight for me was their take on the classic poutine ($14.99). a favouritecanadiansnack that originated from quebec. it is chunky fries/hot chips covered in light brown gravy and melted cheese.

the stuffed beaver is an interesting spot. it’s acanadianinspired joint that dishes up a mixture ofcanadianand a tex-mex type menu. i’m talking fries, tacos, dogs, burgers and nachos. it’s not 100%canadianthrough and through but the staff and the owner are. they do serve the classic poutine which if you’re like me and have never tried this before, is a speciality junk food originating from quebec, a true emulsion of french canada. it’s fries served with gravy and cheese curds and it is as it sounds, evil and glorious. the venue has your typical sports bar vibe, great for a cheap eat and groups wanting to share. everyday they have a dam special. wing half day wednesday is their most popular item and i can totally see why. the frickles, ($5.99 – deep fried pickles) seems ungodly but it turns out to be one of life’s true guilty pleasures. if you love pickles you will love them hot, deep fried, covered in batter and then dipped in that tangy ranch sauce.  wanting the best of both wor

beyond the famous poutine, i haven't really heard much aboutcanadiancuisine. so when i got to go to the stuffed beaver in bondi i leaped at the chance. ready for fried pickles and clamato juice? beaver dam is a fantastic little diner/bar located on bondi road. it was a little quiet when i first arrived - just before the lunch rush - and we were greeted by a small team with wide smiles. as far as i can tell, the staff are actually from canada, and they are just so friendly. i guess that's what they mean bycanadianhospitality. clockwise from left: bloody caesar, frickles, hot wings i love myself a good bloody mary, and in the stuffed beaver i've found a version called the bloody caesar. it's made with clamato juice , which is basically a mixture of clam broth and tomato juice. the flavours are bold and unapologetic, and this is reflected in all of the other food as well. the hot wings - and i'm a chilli eater so i think i can say this - are hot. it left my fingers c

thiscanadiandiner slash hipster bar is the perfect place to eat ridicuously good food that is ridiculously bad for you. the burgers are front and centre on the menu and range from simple to the gourmet and are all put together in a brioche bun. you can get the heart-stopping john candy with grilled cheese, bacon and a succulent pattie (all made in-house), the sanchez for those mexican lovers looking for a bit of salsa and guac on their burger and for those into pigs (like me) you can get your burger filled with pulled pork coleslaw and bbq sauce, appropriately named the happy pig.

wow - was it really that bad.... thought it would be a laugh to check this place out with acanadianfriend and a friend who also loves canada - i had lived there for 7 years. this place is pretty terrible and will never be back - better off getting a better north american experience at mcdonalds. food was very ordinary and way over priced. i love deep fried pickles and i got 4 soggy slithers for $7...??? wings were just plain dry wings with a bit of hot sauce over the top. drinks are over-priced and don't get me started on the waitresses - if you hate your job that much quit... they almost demand tips as it is customary in north america to tip - what they are forgetting is that in north america - you get service!!!! could not recommend this place less to anyone - don't bother - i know i won't be again...

wow, i'm so glad i found this place! my husband iscanadianand had previously introduced me to poutine, which i didn't think i would be able to find in sydney (not that it's the hardest thing in the world to make!). coming here to watch hockey is awesome, and it always seems to be really busy. the booth dining at the back is really cute and the food is awesome. it's reasonably priced, and the portions aren't too big which is good with this type of food which would usually leave me feeling awful. a new favourite :)
