the stuffed beaver diner

people stay away from this place. the staff is mega rude and not friendly!

we have been coming there for more then 3 years but the new staff is just a joke. we've noticed that since adam (current manager) started hiring his mates the place just started going down hill. they mix up orders, don't stick to the original receipt and forget orders. i think they are all doing drugs or something there.

i'm totally against drama and bad vibes but had to get this out. super sad that this amazing place became so bad!

burger and chips, not bad, ordinary bar food, on the salty side. loud place with people talking and tv and music, and perhaps i'm too old to be at a noisy restaurant lol.

really delicious food. while the poutine wasn't as good as in canada (i don't hunk you can get cheese curd here in oz) the hot wings and pulled pork burger were to die for. the wings were hot, but not too hot you couldn't enjoy them. they worked really well with the franchise dressing side.

cockroaches infestation!!! awful staff and bad experience!!!

came in once and sat at the bar. the staff didn't even respond to my presence. anyway they spotted me a bit later and i got a drink. had to ask for a menu but it took them some time to get it. it's either they were mega hungover or on drugs. 

i ordered some wings and nacho's but while waiting saw this dopy guy with long hair pick up this plastic container and a swarm of cockroaches just went left right and center. the dopy guy just looked at the cockroaches and had no response. after seeing this eating my food wasn't a great experience! 

anyway at the end i asked for the bill. the dopy guy sort of acknowledged me but completely forgot about it and i had to ask again. 

i will never go back and don't recommend to anyone!!!

gem of a find. firstly let me say there is a great deal of canada about this place. (name, owner, staff, menu, decor, attitude), i heard about it last sat. (may 07 '11) and popped in on sunday for the hockey game. you see, the vancouver canucks ice hockey team are in the playoffs. it is a tense time in bondi because i, brody the owner, and a bunch of the staff are from van. or at least canada. as are a great deal of the customers.
at 10 am the bar area is packed with coffee swilling unpaid staff and their friends just to watch the game with us punters. this only adds to the already great atmosphere. you can tell they care. they don't normally open this early but thought they might get a crowd for the game. and did they. by 11 am they are at least half full with fans like myself who are there just for the game. and no patron was left wanting because the unpaid staff that were there to watch the game just stepped in when needed. it's a small place. this wasn't hard. and there was no coersion from the boss. it's a family. it just happened.
the menu is simple for a reason. do it limited and get it right. and they do.
same for the cocktail and bar menu. limited but perfect.
i dare you to take on all the garnishes of brody's bloody mary.
i chickened out last week but i'm gonna take the challenge this monday. ;)

so glad we stumbled upon this place! i've never seen anything like it. the food is cheap and tasty.. highly recommend the blue cheese beaver burger. the atmosphere is awesome.. the music is loud and the drinks are strong.

ah yes please. the stuffed beaver is a cool grungy dive bar in a sweet location. the guy behind the bar was so happy and friendly. i had a bloody mary, the chips and onion rings. the bloody mary was like a meal topped with pickles and the whole shabang. i enjoyed it. the fries and onion rings were so darn good. cooked and seasoned perfectly. i would definitely go back.

my sister took me here after raving about the food - she's a big fan of american / canadian cuisine. the poutine is nice but i'm just not a big fan. the burgers are juicy. the staff are really friendly, love a chat!

served raw chicken. i am canadian and visiting the area so i decided to try out the stuffed beaver as they advertise to be canadian. they didn't have any canadian beers at all so i had to resort to drinking a can of coors. then i tried the bbq chicken wings and they were raw. i ended up sending them back after eating one and finding it red and bloody inside. they didn't charge me for the wings and massively overcharged for a can of bad beer (7.50). the atmosphere is not even remotely canadian. i strongly recommend going somewhere else.

food was great not super healthy tho.
service was good.
cool decor.
kids were happy with the game.
other than the sticky tables all good.

*** review for their semi-newish crows nest venue *** same menu ****i wish i lived closer to crows nest because stuffed beaver and i are a perfect match. it’s my kind of food porn. beers, burgers, chili dogs, poutine, and all the greats of a good canadian diner. and of course, moon dog in a tin. come to daddy!

we actually visited the crows nest store. i got the john candy and bbq wings. regret not making it a double but it needed so more sauce. loved the wings. so many young families with prams were here. super accommodating which was fantastic

a quaint and quirky canadian-themed bar and restaurant in bondi. a good selection of bar food —chips, burgers, wings, etc. the poutine was spot on! we also enjoyed the corn chips (funny). the owners have obviously gone the extra mile to make the food delicious.

honestly the worst service i've ever experienced. loved finding canadian food here in sydney, especially poutine but won't be returning as the staff couldn't have been any less helpful. spent in total two hours waiting for food. part of order never showed up even after asking, wrong food delivered after an hour wait. left to eat our meals without any drinks even after asking multiple times...ending up just stealing water off the table next to us. their food is quite enjoyable but much of a let down with service.

so sam and i were always going to @thestuffedbeaverbondi - then i realized they had a food challenge and shit escalated quickly 😆

ultimate beaver eater challenge: double donald trump, lumberjack poutine, full serve of hot wings, frickles, a can of coors and a maxibon 🍔🍟🐔🍦🍺

$50 if you fail - free feed and an epic shirt if you succeed! i had to beat the previous record of 21:08mins for success and stopped the clock at 8:59mins to cut the leaderboard by half!!! to all competitive eaters, this is one of the tastiest, most fun challenges i've done! get in and have a crack. thanks to the team for organising 👏
