great marketing...bad food. the bbq is way overrated, the atmosphere is great. you should go one time just for that. the owners are great at marketing their image.

everyone talks about the fall off the bones ribs, that is not real bbq. they actually steam them by covering them in a way too sweet sauce, wrapping them in foil, and then putting them in the pit.

great sweet bbq. this place has great sweet barbeque. we stopped here after seeing the restaurant on triple-d, and i was not disappointed. this is sweet barbeque heaven. the restaurant itself is just as the name implies, a shed. i thought when we first arrived we may be visiting sanford and son, but the food is great. i got the large sampler platter, and i enjoyed every item in the platter.

the only negative is that i would have enjoyed having the barbeque sauce on the table. instead when you want more sauce you have to ask, and they only give it to you in little sample cups. you may have to go up and ask several times if you are like me and love your meat soaked in bbq.

just ate the best ribs in mississippi at got fed at the shed. good job guy's.

the shed is open. the shed bbq & blues joint is open 7 days a week from 11am-9pm, in fact we never stopped smoking! we have set up temp anent (temporarily + permanent) shop down by the bayou. music every weekend, so come get fed!

one of the best!. i've been there several times. it's always excellent. they weren't stopped by katrina, they won't be stopped by a fire. go shed!!

fabulosity!. love love the shed!! friendly down home! they make you feel comfy as soon as you walk in and the food is phenom! fall of the bone, slap your mama, pick her up and slap her again good. potato salad and beans are super good as is the pulled pork. we got a sampler of everything. enough to feed 4 grown men! great music on the weekends and a campfire outside. love the atmosphere and the people that come with it! just an all around great place. don't forget dessert! wish we lived closer so we could be true "shedheads". will be back!

best bbq down south!. the shed has the best bbq i've found in mississippi! rib meat falls off the bone when you pick up the rib. all the meat is tender. great sides. amazing sweet tea. enjoy your dinner around the fire pit and listen to some good live music. the shed has everything you need for an evening of fun.

don't waste your time or money. lotta hype for very bland and mediocre food! mostly alot of drunks hanging around and some vagrants from a nearby trailer park. top 100 restuarants in the u.s.? the reviewer must of been drunk or high. i've had better bbq from win dixie and that's not saying much. skip this dump and the creepy people hanging around it. heard some customer's cars were broken into over there recently.

yuk!!!. i cannot believe that it is in "the top 100" restuarants in the country. i have to agree with the other reviews about crappy (or no) tatse. i think they are trying to bs customers on the interstate about their food. everything tatses the same.....guess it is better if you are all "beered" up. not worth it no matter what. for a really wonderful bbq experience, try the brazillian restaurant at ip. expensive yes; outstanding and satisfying - even better.

what happened?. the shed on hwy. 57 used to be one of my favorite places to eat. the only thing that tasted the same was the pulled pork. please bring back the original macaroni salad!!!!!

much better than the mobile one!. i drive from mobile, al, over there just for the chicken wings. the mobile shed is about 10 or so miles from my house, but the original place in ocean springs is just so much worth the extra trip!

head to the shed!. sun-thu 11am-9pm, fri & sat 11am-10pm. if the beverly hillbillies had opened a barbecue spot, this would've been it! "hodgepodge" is the word that comes to mind, "character" to be kind. when you first enter, the order counter is to the left, with a stack of menus shelved in a bucket. the staff were friendly and helpful. to get a taste of everything, i ordered the shed sampler platter ($22) - a spare rib, three baby-back ribs, pulled pork, shredded brisket, three slices of sausage, a chicken leg and wings. the sausage, ribs and chicken were the highlights, fall-off-the-bone tender, covered in their sweet award-winning shed spred (sic) barbecue sauce. the pork and brisket had a subtle hint of smoke flavor. with a choice of three sides, the baked beans were sweet (no chopped onion or bacon, sigh), the potato salad was heavy on the mayo (not mustard based), the corn on the cob rather small. at 2 p.m. on a friday, waited about 15 minutes for my order to be brought to the table, not a problem considering the free, self-serve drink refills. respectable sweet tea! large outdoor seating area and stage for live bands. fun place, i'll be back!

good food fun place. i have been to the shed many times. i find the food to be a little over rated by the locals, but over all good. bbq has good flavor, sauce is a little too sweet for me. the atmosphere at the shed is great. they often have live music and have a great selection of beer from all over the world.the service at the shed is fast and friendly even at very busy times. i'm sure that i will visit the shed many more times and would recommend it to friends.

over hyped & trendy, maybe better if you're drunk? food's cooked, so there's that. it's hard to call it barbecue though. the meats aren't seasoned, and pretty bland with a bit of mediocre sauce slapped over everything. i'm almost certain the beef, baby backs, & pulled pork were cooked in a crock pot, the bones themselves were mush and falling apart, and i know of no other way to make those types of meats that tasteless. for the food, i wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy.

disappointing. well... what can i say about this place? i was soooo excited to eat here after watching best in smoke, but after tasting the offerings realized the owner needed to spend less time trying to be famous and more time cooking in his own restaurant or teaching his cooks in the back how to smoke meat. we went on my birthday in may and were really happy with the atmosphere of the shed. i mean it was literally a shed! it was the coolest thing to see all the dollar bills hanging on everything and the writing all over the tables and bars. we ordered our meal, chicken wings, ribs and pulled pork and had a bit of a wait. we were so excited we didnt even care though! finally, the food arrived in to go boxes (which i really didn't care for) and we dug in to what we thought would be some of the best bbq. the wings were awesome. we loved the wings. they had a wonderful flavor and were very juicy and tender and meshed perfect with the ranch sauce, but the whole reason we really came to the shed was to try the ribs and pork and chicken (they were out of chicken). so we pulled the ribs out and took a big bit... a big bite of dry meat and chili powder flavored bbq sauce. i felt as though i was eating mexican food, not good old southern bbq. the pork was dry as dust and the sauce had no flavor. my boyfriend is a chef who can make better bbq without a smoker. we most likely will not return to spend almost a hundred bucks on this place again.

the place really does look like a shed but the food was fantastic! overall i love the place and so did the other 8 people in my party. big thumbs up!
