the shed bbq & blues joint

the shed is a rock'in.... thisplacerocks!... literally. you can enjoy some great live music, great atmosphere and some great bbq! the name really says it all, its just a big shed out in the middle of the woods. its always busy on the weekends so you might wanna plan to go early to avoid the rush. the ribs are tender and coated well with really great flavored bbq sauce. service is quick and friendly. i love bringing family & friends to thisplaceits just that unique.

decided to take a day trip from nola and was told that i just had to get bbq here. since i was already in the area i decided to try thisplaceout. it was good. nothing special or that i'd go out my way for. people who work here are nice too.

decent pulled pork sandwich.
brisket is some strange, shredded stuff.
both meats are short on seasoning and smoke flavor.
slaw fresh, not too sweet, unlike the bbq sauce, which is so sweet, it's
sickening.
not aplacefor great bbq, but a funplacewhen there's live music.

if you came to the mississippi gulf coast for barbecue.... you could find better, than the shed. there's a lot of attention to the shed's unique decor. call me what you will but i found the atmosphere distracting and we ate there when there were maybe 15 other diners there for lunch. i think the decorations would be very annoying on a friday or saturday night when theplacewill be full of people there for the live music and said "atmosphere." the atmosphere is so overwhelming...maybe most people overlook how mediocre the food is in favor of the shed's eccentricity. the smoked meats were all extremely dry and needed extra sauce to make them go down. the side dishes were not remarkable. i feel certain that the food would only taste better if i had a lot of liquor in me. tea was good though and the barq's was cold.

this is nothing better than a bbq pork sandwich with a side of potato salad! thisplaceis awesome! i bring all of my out of town family here everytime they come down. however, i have one bad thing to say. thisplacehas gotten very stingy with the bbq sauce. come on brad, you make a fortune. give us more sauce on the sandwiches!

over priced & over hyped. the wife had to eat here after seeing theirplaceon the food network. i ordered their weak tasting bbq brisket sandwich on a white bun that must have been pulled out of a walmart bag. their slaw had no flavor, the fried pickles were too heavy on the salt. however, the potato salad was good. the shed's décor was obviously put together by a college age "decorator" with lots of stuff but no soul, if you know what i mean.

theplaceis literally a shed. however, the barbecue is awesome. i had the pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, and baked beans. the sides were just ok. give it a try!

first time here on thursday night. looked forward to it for a while and even on a rainy night, it didn't disappoint! ordered the sampler platter. everything was great, although after trying all the meats...the next time i'm sticking with just pulled pork, because it was my favorite. awesome ambiance. very uniqueplacewith lots of bbq character. would love to be there on a night with sine blues playing next time.

very disappointed. tasteless bbq and soggy sides. extremely overrated and over priced for what you get. ordered pulled pork, which came chopped, and my wife ordered the pulled brisket,  which also came chopped. the meat tasted like it was baked in an oven. no smoked wood flavor at all. award winning. not even close.
theplacehas a cool appeal but the food is far from award winning. overheard the two tables next to us say the same. there is no love in that bbq.

thisplacewas gewd!! all the negative comments are crazy! ribs were gewd brisket gewd pull pork gewd mac n cheese was hella gewd it was all gewd.

nasty. just dreadful. i wouldn't wish this food on my worst enemy. i would rather have a root canal. how is thisplacestill open.

worst bbq i ever ate. thisplaceused to be pretty good, but quality has gone down the toilet. my husband and i ordered brisket plates. most of the meat was fat and it tasted like it was boiled instead of smoked. the brisket was smothered with a sickeningly sweet bbq sauce. it was disgusting. the bread looked like something that would survive the apocalypse and tasted like windex. the beans were also disgustingly sweet. they tasted like bush's baked beans with a pound of brown sugar added. worst meal ever.

nasty & disgusting. perhaps the worst food i have ever eaten & i love good barbeque--but, you won't find it here...

looks like a tacky touristy t shirt shop inside. not even any of the side dishes were edible & every one at my table was in agreement that this food was horrifyingly awful-- can't believe tv hype-- but, perhaps this food was edible, or even good in its past, but this is the present & on a 1 to 10, i give thisplacea 1.
and, it is very overpriced for poor quality barbeque that it is, small portions of terrible food. the mac & cheese was a dark orange color not often seen on this planet, and never before on mac & cheese. i am guessing it was made with wallmart macoroni (lowest quality) and "artificial cheese" product, hence the disgusting unnatural color.
even the beans were not edible-- i think they were also generic cheap canned wallmart beans.
for $15.00, i got this & just 3 of the most disgusting ribs i have ever eaten & felt like i had been had, which indeed was the case. i should stop payment on my credit card & they should pay me to eat there ever again...
when on i-10, pass thisplaceup, you will find better barbeque all along the way in all of the larger towns & cities along i-10, if that's what you are crazing...

also this says waterfront. ive been several times, havent seen any sort of water.

very uniqueplaceto eat. i like the combo plate. ribs fall off bone, and sausage is pretty good. i wouldnt eat here every time i go out, but still good. and i think guy fieri was giving thisplacea little too much hype. they can smoke the meat a little more. and the food can be a little warmer.
