let me tell you about "the shed"...food was wonderful....but it is rustic ...i mean really, really rustic, order at the counter, picnic tables in next room...sawdust on the floor....paper plates and plastic utensils, serve your own drink. not sure about ac, it was extremely nice outside when we went and we didn't need it. very quirky decor...all sorts of memorabilia and "junque" on the walls. it looks like a shed...completely!! foodis outstanding, fall off the bone ribs and chicken, nicely flavored brisket and pulled pork, and the potato salad is to die for! i would recommend giving it a try if you like bbq.

if you came to the mississippi gulf coast for barbecue.... you could find better, than the shed. there's a lot of attention to the shed's unique decor. call me what you will but i found the atmosphere distracting and we ate there when there were maybe 15 other diners there for lunch. i think the decorations would be very annoying on a friday or saturday night when the place will be full of people there for the live music and said "atmosphere." the atmosphere is so overwhelming...maybe most people overlook how mediocre thefoodis in favor of the shed's eccentricity. the smoked meats were all extremely dry and needed extra sauce to make them go down. the side dishes were not remarkable. i feel certain that thefoodwould only taste better if i had a lot of liquor in me. tea was good though and the barq's was cold.

over priced & over hyped. the wife had to eat here after seeing their place on thefoodnetwork. i ordered their weak tasting bbq brisket sandwich on a white bun that must have been pulled out of a walmart bag. their slaw had no flavor, the fried pickles were too heavy on the salt. however, the potato salad was good. the shed's décor was obviously put together by a college age "decorator" with lots of stuff but no soul, if you know what i mean.

we finally made the stop in here on a drive home to try the q here at the shed. i have to use two or three spots in austin as the latest similar places to compare them too.

ordered brisket sandwich plate with two sides and barq’s bottle.foodcame out in about 15 minutes with a good crowd on hand. found it peculiar brisket was not sliced and was swimming in a sweet sauce already. very stringy meat. why have the other sauces if this one is already being used. hard to detect a lot of smoke flavor. after reading many other reviews here, including a large number that are hidden, we are not alone in our perception. pretty disappointed.

the sides, mac salad, potato salad and sweet potato casserole were very good, our favorite part of the meal.

will give them another try someday and report back in on the meal but brisket is how you start and set your barometer for all other meats and eats in my opinion.

use to be good, key word use to be, now it's just sad. it's been like watching a slow moving train crash when you go to the shed over the years, it use to be the best now, it's bottom of the barrel, better bbq is served at fastfoodjoints. everything on the menu is just bad, plain ol' bad. full of fat, bland sauce. if you want good bbq go to slap ya momma's and save yourself from this disaster! i would give it a 0 if i could.

very disappointed. tasteless bbq and soggy sides. extremely overrated and over priced for what you get. ordered pulled pork, which came chopped, and my wife ordered the pulled brisket,  which also came chopped. the meat tasted like it was baked in an oven. no smoked wood flavor at all. award winning. not even close.
the place has a cool appeal but thefoodis far from award winning. overheard the two tables next to us say the same. there is no love in that bbq.

the absolute best atmosphere for a bbqfoodjoint. the absolute best bbq sauce & ribs i have ever tried! !!!! if i lived within an hour of here, i would come at least twice every week! !!!! delicious!!!!!!! =p

downhill. first few times we went the q was great, atmosphere is fun, and live music was fantastic. since the awful tv show they tried to do something has changed.foodhas been cold the last 3 times i've been, over sauced, and really seems to be prepared without care for the product. i'm looking at alternatives for good q in the area since the shed has believed a bit much in their own hype of late. one good find has been muddy waters which has a new location right in downtown ocean springs.

convenient location for good bbq. this location of the shed bbq & blues joint is very convenient when traveling on i-10. we stopped in on a road trip to florida for dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. we ordered the shed sampler platter to share since it comes with a portion of all seven meats and three sides which we chose the baked beans, coleslaw, and mac salad (mac-and-cheese). thefoodcame out extremely quickly and we enjoyed being able to taste all the meats they had to offer i think next time though we will stick to one of the rib plates.

surpisingly average at best. it is a really cool set up in my opinion, but thefoodwas weak. the staff was super cool and the guy working the register was a beer expert and recommended a great micro brew. the meats were all super tender but lacked in smoke and flavor. the ribs were drenched in sauce which is amateurish. the brisket was shredded and not sliced on the sampler platter which was disappointing. as for the sides, i really liked the unique potato salad, definitely give it a try. the mac n cheese was pretty good as was the coleslaw. all in all, i was letdown by the quality of their q given their national rep. to sum it up, go for the ambience and the people, but don't expect great food...or go elsewhere.

sux!. don't bother if you like bbq. thefoodwas tasteless, and the meat sure wasn't smoked. not a real bbq joint.

overrated. we recently ate at the shed, can't say that it was a good experience.thefoodwas cold and had very little smoked flavor to it. had heard a lot of hype about thefoodbut it turns out just to be hype. if you want really good smoked meats go to slap ya mommas.

nasty. just dreadful. i wouldn't wish thisfoodon my worst enemy. i would rather have a root canal. how is this place still open.
