a fun and interesting atmosphere! the staff was very nice. barbecue was pretty good compared to other places. (the sides were definitely worth it!) overall, a great locally owned joint that i would suggest to any travelers along i10.

the rubs were tender, meat fell off the bone. the bbq sauce however, was not spicy and tasted a little better than ketchup.

disappointed. we were really looking forward to eating at the shed. we have had bbq in memhis, texas, carolinas, etc. we thought the servings were generous, but lacked flavor. we rated the shed at the bottom of bbq lists.

baby back ribs were delicious! probably the best potato salad i've ever had, tasted like it had sour cream and chives in it. great atmosphere. if you are anywhere near ocean springs/gauthier ms, make the effort to swing through!

as always the food is always good here to me. we ordered the jumbo sampler today, but the brisket was just a tiny bit tough this time. the girl who took our order just needs to have a little bit more knowledge about the beers behind the counter. she looked like she wasn't even old enough to be selling beer. you can't sell something if you don't know anything about it! just saying. we will be back! also love that they have shaded areas to sit now! and get rid of the cat with its no tail, people don't want to eat an have a cat jump on there lap. especially when some of us are allergic to it!

not bbq!. get fed at the shed! yes, it's a great slogan. great marketing. great staging. bad bbq. my rib plate had absolutly no texture left to the meat. lip lifeless swimming in sauce. what and where is this award winning bbq? come on. if you've never had real bbq you may like this. you will never sell me that bill of goods. anthing drowned in sauce is covering up the fact that it is not real bbq. get force fed this marketing gimmick at the shed. please don't insult me with this nonsense.

this really is the best bbq i've ever had. oh wow. i visited the shed (original version #2) in their vancleave/ocean springs location. we had heard about the legacy of the original shed, and after reading how great everyone in the community came together to resurrect the restaurant so quickly. really is a testament to how well-liked this joint is.

on to the food. full disclosure: i am a yankee, through and through, so you may take my opinion of southern bbq with a grain of salt. i can not believe how delicious this was. the meat was smoky, melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly sauced (not overly so). the shed spread adds so much with just a little sauce. the mac-n-cheese has a hint of spice, and the beans and bread are divine. considering i usually don't eat beans, and these i ate before anyone had a chance to ask if i would share, that's saying a lot.

i would go back, again and again and will make it a required stopover anytime i am in the region.

tonight was our last trip to the shed. we used to eat here at least two or three times a month, and we rarely go out on weeknights. since the fire, food quality has tanked. prices remain hefty for what you get. clearly the owners are only concerned about drawing more people in, not keeping the local business. what a shame.

texans beware!!!. texans beware! the barbecue is drenched in a very very sweet sauce similar to pouring straight maple syrup on brisket. i tried both the brisket and the pork without the sauce and they both seemed to lack any flavor. the beans are also incredibly sweet and the nana pudding is so/so. we had 6 people in our party ranging from 62 to 6 and it was a unanimous thumbs down. also, after arriving at 11:30 we were told we would have to wait 15 minutes for the beans, which we did. after ordering the baby back ribs and sitting down for 10 minutes they came over to tell us they were totally out of their famous ribs. what a shame, maybe the ribs would have been edible. consensus: keep on driving. this is a tourist trap that definetely doesn't appeal to the typical texas barbecue palate.

always makes me sick. when they first opened i loved the food but the last 4 times i went there i got sick. i kept going back in hopes it was just me but it's the food. don't know if it's the sauce or smoke but i had to stop going because i got tired of throwing up. used to love the potato salad also but now it taste like the stuff u get at walmart in the deli section. i think they are just getting too big that they are starting to feel more like a chain than a hometown local restaurant

as we drove up i realized that place truly is a joint as opposed to a restaurant. the smell of smoke filled the air, and my excitement level intensified as i laid eyes on the shed barbeque & blues joint.

great facade! so-so bbq. the shed and its owners have really managed to put the spin on their product big time. the hole in the wall atmosphere, cold beer and music and the chance to have a rowdy good time with friends has helped them cover up what is certainly not the best bbq you can find. south ms has never been a bbq mecca and for that reason so many of us wouldn't know good bbq from average bbq, and worse bad bbq. if you ever go to memphis, or some of the other bbq capitals of the country, then you will know what i am talking about. until then the shed can continue to fool people in to thinking they have had really good bbq. for one the sauce is way too sweet and they use way too much of it literally drowning the meat in sauce. you should be able to actually taste the meat and savor the slow cooked smokey goodness. i have tried this place a time or two and just don't care for what they hype as award winning q. i do commend the owners for the atmosphere they strive to offer and it is a fun place and good service. i am glad they are bouncing back after the fire they had as well. if you have never had really good memphis or texas or even carolina vinegar based bbq, then you will probably love the shed. if you have had good bbq elsewhere then you will know from the first bite at the shed what i am saying.
