horribly overpriced menu. service was ok, but meals were brought to table in intervals. a huge no no in a supposed 5 star establishment. many more options for 1/2 the price. once again, a tourist trap.

this restaurant is a classic if you are ever in savannah! the history, food, and service is impeccable. a must!

i didn't think it was expensive myself for two people, when i think about what we order with cocktails.

the olde pink house as wire mentioned in come back in two halves “everybody loves their history.” it’s a song that could have been written specifically with savannah in mind. on late summer evenings when you’re on a stroll to your next restaurant reservation it’s guaranteed that every group of two or more people will include at least one person telling their companions about the history of the street, square, house or whatever feature they’re standing by.not surprisingly, seeing as it was savannah and the house had plenty of history to fall back on, the formally attired wait staff were all happy to share their knowledge about the life of the house from 1771 to the present day. they were equally knowledgeable about the food and just as willing to talk about the dishes.

the ambiance was romantic, the decor beautiful and to top it off a lady dressed in period clothing sang to the diners, which was lovely. she even came to our table and serenaded us with "going to the chapel" which was super fun. the food however was mediocre and for the prices i was not impressed at all. i ordered the cheese plate, which was decent other than one of the three cheeses was inedible, and the crab cakes which the server made sound like they were just to die for when they were really just plain ole crab cakes. another girl ordered the filet which was a pretty penny and was just ok. my friend caroline ordered the blt salad which aaron sanchez from the food network claimed was one of the best things he'd ever eaten, well aaron i have eaten at your restaurant and nothing at the olde pink house c

didn't bother to respond to call. my husband and i were in town for our anniversary. we wanted to have dinner in a romantic setting and were given a recommendation to the olde pink house. we called the number on their web site and after ringing several times a machine answered and gave hours and other information. it advised us to leave a message and someone would return our call. this was at the beginning of their dinner hours. i left my name and number and asked if reservations were required or recommended. we waited and never received a return call. just as well. we went with another recommendation to maxwell's and could not have been happier. this resturant must have all the business it needs so i'm sure they will never miss ours. we won't bother them again.

return visit a must. from the greeting, to the downstaiars waiting area (sitting area w/ piano player), to the food, to the service. everything was delicious. if we ever go back to savannah, we will definitely dine here again.

delicious!. my husband and i celebrated our third anniversary at the olde pink house after i read the great reviews, and were not disappointed! i ordered the watermelon salad, short ribs and summer trifle, and my husband ordered the wedge salad and pork tenderloin. all of it was fabulous!

to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary becky and i headed to savannah, georgia for a weekend of sightseeing and relaxation.  we arrived on friday afternoon and after settling in at the beautiful foley house inn, headed off to the olde pink house for a late lunch.

great dining & history experience. we had a party of 6 and a late seating...8:45. the cocktails were correct and delicious (sazerac), the food was amazing (blt salad & new york strip steak), the wandering soprano was terrific, and our waiter has a master's degree in history! he offered and we accepted a free tour of the home. he was so knowledgeable and interesting. what a wonderful ending to a wonderful dinner.

i think this place is a must for visitors to savannah! start with a sazerac in the arches bar and end with a beer in the basement tavern. for dinner, get the crispy flounder. it is so flavorful and tender! the fried pork chop is really good too. if you get that be sure to get a side of fried chucken livers as well. mmmmm so good!

the grits were in the form of little grit cakes and they, along with the gravy were so good. creamy, rich and perfectly seasoned. unfortunately, the 3-4 smallish local shrimp were pretty horribly overcooked and rubbery so we ended up not eating all of them. honestly, the other stuff was so good on the plate, i didn’t even mind.

really enjoyed sitting in the lounge area. tried the southern sushi and cornbread costed fried oysters. those were good, but the pork chop changed my life! they grilled it an smothered it in a brown butter and sautéed mushrooms.
