outstanding food & service at toph. my wife and i were on a roadtrip and following a little 'net working, happened upon the olde pink house (toph) and had an outstanding evening. first, the building . . . it is a house from the 1700's that has been restored . . . a number of dining rooms to choose from . . . by speaking to the maitre d, a lovely lady named audrey, she placed us in a very nice room, the study, on the second floor and made outstanding suggestions on menu choices. the servers were professional and friendly and confirmed audrey's suggestons. try the blt salad which has applewood bacon, fried green tomato and a delicious dressing. for dinner, the scored flounder is a must! this is one of toph's signature dishes. a flounder is scored, cooked and served with an incredible shallot sauce. and for dessert, do not pass on the praline basket which is served with a great vanilla bean ice cream. the wine list is reasonable. all in all an outstanding dinner.
