must go, absolutely worth the hype. upon walking into theoldepink house, i was impressed by the atmosphere and layout of the restaurant. it is apparent that a tremendous amount of care went into the rehabilitation of this historic building. everyone we spoke with was incredibly friendly, specifically our server. he was knowledgeable, excellent at making recommendations to match our taste buds, and most importantly, great at pairing delicious wine to accompany the savory food. speaking of the food ... wow. the blt salad truly is one of the best things i have ever eaten. we also got blackened oysters, crab stuffed grouper and pork tenderloin, followed by a praline basket for dessert. each and every dish was well thought and embodied the comfort exhibited by classic southern food.

i highly recommend this restaurant, and will definitely always eat there every time i visit savannah.

if you’re in savannah, ga and wanting to feel the full southern dining experience, try theoldepink house.  reservations are necessary but we were able to secure reservations on short notice.   we were escorted into the grand ballroom upon arrival and in spite of several large parties present, we were given exceptional service. the fried pork chop, macaroni and cheese and collards and the pecan crusted chicken with honey pecan sweet potato and collards were great choices.  i do regret not getting dessert, but the portions are plentiful and we were too full!

charming savannah ga dining. theoldepink house is a trip into the historic past of savannah. it is a very sophisticated menu and put together for a surprise to the taste buds. we mainly have lunch here as we live in beaufort, so evening dining requires a drive which we avoid. while staying overnight in the city we have enjoyed the tavern which is downstairs and available by elevator. there is a great piano player for your enjoyment and dining menu is available. the street level bar is just level with parking areas and you may dine inside or out. the are multiple dining rooms and each with it's own charm. when visiting savannah we wouldn't miss a stop at theoldepink house.

we enjoyedoldepink house. the atmosphere was amazing. i got the salmon and it was great (other than a very small portion). my husband got the duck and really liked it. i would also highly recommend stopping by the bar downstairs and taking a look at the vault. very impressive building. we would definitely go back on our next trip to savannah!

olde pink house was beautiful. the first night we went for dinner. honestly overpriced for what we've had over places, but you cannot beat the atmosphere. we even went back to the downstairs bar the next night. very beautiful home.

i recently went to theoldepink house with a group of my girl friends for a nice meal before an evening of libations and debauchery at my bachelorette party. we walked over to the restaurant from our hotel, and arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. while we were waiting on the front porch for our table to become available, jaylin (so sorry if i am butchering the spelling of your name!!), helped to keep us entertained by telling us all about the history of the house. he made our fifteen minute wait seem like five minutes. we had a great time talking to him outside before our meal.

this house is gorgeous on the inside, and we were seated upstairs. once we got to our table, our server promptly came by and welcomed us to the restaurant. throughout the course of the meal, we had probably five different servers that came by and made sure that our drinks were full and the table was cleared as plates became empty. jaylin even came back by to wish us a good evening before he left at the end of his shift. everyone in our group was thoroughly impressed with the truly friendly and genuine nature of the staff.

we had a large group, and everyone enjoyed their meals. i had the roasted pork shank (per jaylin's recommendation), and it was incredible. i would highly recommend it to anyone in eating in the area (just come hungry, the portions were huge-- the pork shank was roughly 12oz).

my compliments to the staff at theoldepink house for making this one of the most enjoyable dining experiences of my life. great food, great staff, beautiful restaurant. don't miss this one!!

did not live up to expectations,. i have visited savannah for years and lived here for the better part of 5 years, had always heard that theoldepink house was the best dining experience to be had. i was also told that the bar area was an intimate cozy room in which to dine (almost everyone recommended it and the menu is the same throughout the house.

although the house itself is wonderful the experience left me flat. we ordered appetizers and drinks which were good i must say. we then waited over an hour for our entrees which were disappointing at best. i had a filet which was ordered medium rare and came out severely overdone. it came with asparagus (two spears) and a smallish portion of mac and cheese which was very good. my wife's dinner arrived 5 minutes later with apologies but no explanation for the slow service nor the extra delay in her meal which was simply pasta and shrimp. this was my first opportunity to complain about the temperature of my meal, however at this point we were just ready to eat and get on with our evening. on this night the piano appeared to be wired into the speaker system and was extremely loud making conversation difficult...this may have been the exception rather than the rule.

i have never heard anything bad about the pink house, and am inclined to give them a break even though i di not feel compelled to return anytime soon. for the $150.00 we spend i know there are better dining options in savannah area. when my vacationing guests ask where to dine, i will simply leave this one off the list.

just one word.... terrific!.
i am just so tired of chain restaurants.
from the moment you walk in, theoldepink house says "welcome to the south"
i flew in for the day from charlotte, and i can tell you that a restaurant of this quality would
be most welcomed in charlotte... a city struggling to find it's culinary chops
the calamari was the best i have tasted in a long time, and i am one serious foodie.
the crab cakes were packed with crab. what a concept.
can't wait to return and bring my wife.

historically delicious. we were referred to theoldepink house by our historic savannah tour guide. it has all the best parts of a tourist destination (history, helpful staff, etc) and also very good food. we had the crab cake with fried green tomatoes, fried chicken with greens, pecan and key lime pie. all top notch. then we poked around some of the other dining rooms, which are all beautifully restored and decorated, including the old tavern and bank vault in the basement. worth a look!

theoldepink house is an upscale restaurant in an, old, restored mansion, built in 1771. make reservations ahead of time. there are several different dining rooms, each with a different ambience, and i believe we dined in something called the grand ballroom, a large area with a crystal chandelier. we had their famous blt salad, with fried green tomatoes and sweet bacon, and it was delicious, as we’d been told. my pecan crusted chicken was p1050118good, but truthfully, i had a better version in a charleston restaurant a year earlier. the dessert, however, was

a huge disappointment and very expensive in comparison. we've been on a 12 day holiday around charleston and savannah and have eaten at some amazing restaurants - fig, mccradys, cru cafe, a-lure and more. theoldepink house was by far the most disappointing and uninspiring, so much so that i received my meal for free after expressing my dissatisfaction. the service was good although when the waitresses were checking on us while we were eating, the question wasn't "how is everything?" it was "how fantastic is it?" - a big assumption to make given that it was not fantastic at all. very expensive too. this restaurant is banking on the ambiance, location and history but the food leaves a lot to be desired and has not kept up with the pace.

theoldepink house as wire mentioned in come back in two halves “everybody loves their history.” it’s a song that could have been written specifically with savannah in mind. on late summer evenings when you’re on a stroll to your next restaurant reservation it’s guaranteed that every group of two or more people will include at least one person telling their companions about the history of the street, square, house or whatever feature they’re standing by.not surprisingly, seeing as it was savannah and the house had plenty of history to fall back on, the formally attired wait staff were all happy to share their knowledge about the life of the house from 1771 to the present day. they were equally knowledgeable about the food and just as willing to talk about the dishes.

the ambiance was romantic, the decor beautiful and to top it off a lady dressed in period clothing sang to the diners, which was lovely. she even came to our table and serenaded us with "going to the chapel" which was super fun. the food however was mediocre and for the prices i was not impressed at all. i ordered the cheese plate, which was decent other than one of the three cheeses was inedible, and the crab cakes which the server made sound like they were just to die for when they were really just plain ole crab cakes. another girl ordered the filet which was a pretty penny and was just ok. my friend caroline ordered the blt salad which aaron sanchez from the food network claimed was one of the best things he'd ever eaten, well aaron i have eaten at your restaurant and nothing at theoldepink house c
