way better than we expected!! had the okie poutine frys, cheese curds, and the macaroni pony!! everything was awesome and we cant wait to go back again!!!

lunch treat & souveneir. went to this restaurant with hubby around lunchtime. it was pretty crowded so we opted to sit outside on a very beautiful day. we were promptly seated at a table that faced the street and the view of the bustling art district was a very relaxing conversation starter. he had the turkey sandwich with avocado and i got the staple big ass grilled cheese with bacon. i really love this restaurant. as a parting gift, we both got to keep our don't be an ass cups.

i had heard all about their grilled cheese with macaroni and cheese inside of it so of course, that's what i ordered!  much like the burger i had at flatire burgers  that also had mac & cheese inside.  i'm pretty sure you could throw m&c on anything and i would eat it.  well, maybe not anything. and there it is....the macaroni pony : jalepeno cornbread, chipotle bbq pulled pork, 3 cheese mac and cheese, and a pickle.  is your mouth watering yet?? they also have a big ass grilled cheese (love the name).  it didn't really matter who ordered what because we all got sandwiches and split them four ways.  i love going to a place that has a selection of "different" beers. please. we ordered the okie poutine appetizer - beer battered french fries, house white gravy, watonga cheese curds.  cheese curds  sounded we

grilled cheese, you’ve come a long way baby. the beloved grilled cheese sandwich has, in reality been around for longer than we know in one form or another. in the 1920′s however with the invention of pre-sliced bread and processed cheese, it really started becoming a staple. flash forward to today where it is now becoming an art form. and here in oklahoma city, no one does grilled cheese sandwiches better than the mule.

a nice jackass!. the mule is a hipsters dream, with local craft beers and a hip wood drenched environment that would make anyone with a handle bar mustache proud. the food however is hit or miss. sometimes you get an amazing sandwich that makes you want to slap your mamma and other times you just want someone to slap you for eating there.
the service is definitely un-refined with waiters being about as spot on as the food. don't expect anyone to tell you they have been making substitutions in the kitchen unless you spot it yourself, and don't expect the waitstaff to go out of the way for you what so ever.
with a clientele that seems to ere on the side of the hip, young and overly confident at times the mule has filled a niche in the plaza district that other places have missed. serving up bar food that actually tastes good and a substantial variety make this a great place for a dinner under $20. just keep in mind you might be letting out your belt the next day.
the mule has definitely carved out a place in the plaza and is here to stay but if they expect to continue going up rather than flat lining they need to address there customer service and healthier options for the menu.

food is pretty good but we won’t be back. waiter came out and spilled a water into my wife’s purse. manager comes over and says we will get this taken care of, that they’d call us tomorrow. took our name and number. so aside from the accident, the service was good so i left a good tip. tomorrow came and went and they never called us. we live in the neighborhood and are down in the plaza all the time but since they never called, we made a decision to not go back. too bad...

great little place.... nothing beats pretentious grilled cheese, and the mule has it down to a science...or maybe an art. great service, drinks are good, awesome atmosphere to watch a game. just go already!

unique menu options. okie poutine was a great appetizer for something different.

this place is sinfully good -even in the bible belt. speaking of belt, the mule knocks this dish out of the park. pair that up with an "okie" moscow mule and you'll be singing praises of it on the parking lot. it's one of my fav's. everyone love the macoroni pony and the fried cheese curds are to die for. don't be scared of the f.y.d.h., i've aptly named, for you damn health...however no one will admit to what this acronym stands for. also -anything "beer battered" is not to be missed. enjoy your stay, partner.

excellent place for lite eating. great drinks and atmosphere. the only real down side is the limited seating but i’ve never needed to wait more than a few minutes. this is a sandwich place basically but whoa!, do you get quality! go here for laid back and casual meet ups with friends and be prepared for making more friends. the atmosphere lends itself to speaking with other patrons

greasy spoon - made both my husband and i cringe at all the grease that was left on the food. overpriced sandwiches and very limited menu- went for an anniversary lunch and although the service was good, if you like long haired, bearded biker types and tattoos, and piercings.. ...the food imo was not up to par- perhaps the sandwich i got was not as i thought- fancy pants said chicken breast but it was shredded with fillers of undercooked onions and apples? none of it was fresh or went well together- i wished i would have ordered something else - hubby got a blt but honestly how can you mess up a blt? the fries were greasy and the cheese curds i could not even taste the cheese there was so much grease!!!
we will not return- the 2nd half of fancy pants i did not eat was taken home and salvaged only the shredded chicken as i used to made my own sand which - a $30 mistake sorry folks!

this place is completely overrated. the food is decent but the service is terrible. they make mistakes, don't apologize for it, and instead blame the customers. this was the worst service i've ever experienced. seriously don't come here, i know i never will again.

really enjoyed this place. the staff was right on point and the food was excellent. i had an excellent sandwich that was more than i could eat. the featured beer was cold and excellent too!

food wasn't terrible nor was it super amazing either. i ordered off the brunch menu and it was pretty good. fiancé ordered a sandwich and he wasn't too impressed. service was a bit slow out on patio.

really great cheesy sandwiches and awesome drink choices. they had mulled wine on a cold night and it could not have hit the spot more. fun place to hang out with great food.
