had a great turkey sandwich today with some spicy tomato soup. a friend had some fries that i tasted, interesting spice they use, i think nutmeg. no parking so that's a little frustrating.

food is just ok. $8.50 for a grill cheese? nothing to get excited about!

service : our waitress was very good. one of the best service i have had.
food: i ordered the classic for an appetizer. it was fresh and clean, but a tad to plain for me. i ordered the cortez. the sandwich was good. the 2nd time i ordered the madame croque which was very good! flavored were spot on. i had vegetable soup with it which was one of the best vegetable soups i had in a while. it was a bit salty but the flavors were there. my friends got the onion rings as sides and they were super greasy. if they were drained a bit more it would have been better. i ordered the onion rings this time around it was a bit less greasy but still greasy.
price: 8 - 10 a sandwich.
overall it's a great place to hang out and get great bar food.

service. the service at this establishment is very poor. i like the selection of drinks, but it doesn't matter how big the selection is if it takes ten minutes for a server/bartender to even acknowledge your presence. i was not the only person receiving extremely bad service at this place. there were women being told to leave the bar before 1:30 am. just an all around unfriendly place to have a drink.

pretty darn good. i won't be going often as parking is an absolute nightmare, but when in the area, it's a nice change. fiancé was impressed with beer selection and sampled two. he also scarfed down a whole order of cheese curds. they looked amazing but i wasn't breaking the "no wheat" rule tonight. our waitress was very accommodating and kept our drinks full, and acquiesced my request to turn the fancy pants sandwich into a salad. really good flavors and i found it easy to stick to my diet tonight. fiancé loved his turkey sammie and ate my fries. solid.

kitchen closes early.... saw the menu on line, checked out the website, interested in trying the unique sandwitches, called to verify they were open sat till 2am. got there around 11:30 for late meal, found kitched closed at 11pm. really bummed out, as i didnt see any mention of "no food after 11pm" on menu, web, or when calling. hope the local restaurants can make a point of stating hours as "kitchen closed at 11pm, bar open till 2am". for now i just have to remember to ask when i call not just "when do you close" but, "when do you stop serving food".

okay. the service was great, but the food was just okay. when ordering fancy pants, i was excited to see and taste the delicious sounding creation. it was not a bad sandwich, but it wasn't something i'd go back for.

awsome. i had the h.a.m. it was spectacular. atmosphere was on point as well, they were playing my favorite band m83!

decent. it is definitely an experience. i am glad that i tried it out based on other reviews. it is not one of the top restaurants i think about when deciding on where to eat, but i would go back if someone suggested it.

seriously good. took my mom here for lunch and ordered the herbivore, (made vegan) with the seasonal side of strawberries and red quinoa. my mom had the fancy pants and the strawberries and quinoa as well. she loved her's, ...couldn't stop saying "oh my gosh, this is so good...". the herbivore was delicious, lot's of grilled vegetables, a little spicy, very savory.. definitely one of those sandwiches where you don't miss the meat at all, very flavorful. the seasonal side was a great surprise, strawberries, quinoa, balsamic reduction, sliced almonds, and i think i tasted some basil too...could have been a meal in itself. overall a great experience, not the first place you think of for vegan food, but so worth it just for the herbivore alone.

the food was tasty, but the service was terrible. well, to be more accurate, our particular waitress was just fine and deserving of a customary tip, but the managers or other waiters were incredibly rude when we asked for a larger table for our party of 5. the sandwiches are served on quarter baking sheets, so there was no way 5 of us would comfortably fit at a 4 top. when we asked if we could add another table, we were initially told no, then yes, then no again because "that's not how we do business here." i'm sorry - i thought you were in the customer service business. i understand that lunchtime is busy, but either invest in some 2 tops to give appropriate seating for smaller groups or don't complain when your 5 tops don't want to cram in together.

food is okay. service sucks and probably won't be back. it took 30 minutes to get our check and it wasn't even busy. the waiter doesn't even check up on you.

great idea. second time there, and i was pretty disappointed. i get the lunch rush, i understand that things fail when the servers and kitchen are in the weeds. but the service super sucked. i saw more of this guys back sweat and butt crack (combined with his post rush cheap cigarette stench) than him actually tending to customers. $5 for a local draft? not so much.

sammies have the desire to be great. but you cannot drizzle balsamic on bread and then grill it, it burns, thus the whole sammie tastes burnt. i wanted the turkey, cheese, pears, balsamic and basil pesto to work.... but, unfortunately, it does not. at all. the menu has a great concept, gourmet sandwiches, but please execute.

drink menu is cool, on both visits my drinks were awesome. but drink alone will not bring my friends and i back.

cool atmosphere

upon entering i was impressed with the really cool atmosphere. it has a sort of modern yet rustic bungalow feeling. it has a very cool bar. my visual senses were impressed as my friends had recommended this place and it only added to my excitement. this is the kind of hideaway atmosphere that i really enjoy.

tomato soup was very good. it had a touch of spiced heat but wasn't overwhelming, and it was of good consistency. it was a most perfect lunch portion to go with my main event.

i was very impressed with the big ass grilled cheese. the cheese was very cheesy and filling, though not so much as to leave the unwelcome post-lunch office gassy bloat. the sourdough was perfectly toasted and though i could taste a slight hint of it, i was pleased that the bread was not completely drenched with butter.

they have a very extensive beer selection. to my disappointment they did not serve with a cold pint glass -- which i did have to request.

my friend who normally shares delightful conversation was nearly mute while eating except for the moaning and groaning of exotic pleasures while stuffing his face with the macaroni pony sandwich. i do intend to try this sandwich next.

except for our greeting, the service was actually less than impressive. our waitress didn't seem too into waiting on us as we pretty much had to walk her through the process. that warm pint glass i referred to earlier, yes it was cracked and it didn't seem to bother her at all after i brought it up to her.
