try keg size!!. they make my favorite steaks. i really love to go there. i recommend their traditional one. i tried ribs once, but it was not good as much as their steaks.

noisy but good. steaks are great but it is a noisy, busy restaurant. fun place to go with a group but for a nice dinner for 2, there are nicer restaurants in saskatoon.

firstly let me say that the staff here is amazing! i have gone there many many times and it has always beena great experience. the food is mouth watering and their drinks are pretty standard but delicious. the only thing that needs changing is the decor in the dining room. it's starting to look a lite dated compared to other places like sabroso

good service and food. we sat on the patio and had a wonderful experience. our waitress was lovely and very professional as well as our food was of marvellous quality. the prices reflect the great service and size of entrées. i enjoy this restaurant :)

went for supper on the patio saturday evening and surprisingly it wasn't at all busy!
had a few beverages and appys prior to ordering dinner. we had the bacon wrapped scallops which were good but i prefer them with garlic butter instead of seafood sauce. also had the baked brie with pesto and red pepper jelly.
for the main course i ordered the prime rib sliders which were delicious, the onion fries were pretty pathetic though, more like crumbs..lol
the gf ordered the surf'n turf 6oz sirloin and lobster tail which she said was cooked perfectly med. rare.
we really enjoyed our meal and will return!
service was great too!

og like. one of the top steakhouses in the toon. expensive , but not as much as the other top
steakhouses. i have the steak because it is one place where i have always received a juicy, tender perfectly done steak. but my daughter loves the chicken here too.

fun night out. we go to the keg about 1x/year to treat ourselves. the sirloin oscar is so very very good! good side order options and seafood specials throughout the year as well.
i find the service is efficient and friendly.

real canadian food. as a european chef i was invited by friends to go to the keg and i have to say they surprised me. it’s canadian and they have steak and lots of other good foods on their menu. personally i think it’s a lot of food for a good price. i give the keg a 8.5 out of 10.

just left dinner at the keg on 8th street saskatoon, sk. it was total speed dining!! they couldn't get us out fast enough!! ordered wine, appetizers, salad, steak, & dessert. got our wine & a minute later we got our salads - right the salads came before the appetizer, when did that become a thing? 5 minutes after we got our salads, our appetizers showed up, then 10 minutes later our meals showed up. we hadn't finished our salad or appetizers yet!! we mentioned to the server that this was extreme speed dining and his solutions was "i can take the meals back & put them under the heater till you're ready" yah, no thanks, don't want you to spit in it. so we accepted, them but had to hold our salad plates so he could put the meals down as there wasn't enough room for everything on the table & he had to clear the plates to fit the meal. when the bill & our regular server came back we complained about the speed dining and his comment was "oh so sorry, the kitchen kind of rushes things on fridays, thanks, have a good night" and then he ran off - no effort on his part at all. it was very apparent he just did not care at all. while we were there in our big 40 minute meal, we saw 2 other tables that had the exact same thing happen - salads, appetizers 2 minutes later, & meals before they finished the first 2 courses. this is not standard for a keg. i recommend you go to the granary restaurant in saskatoon instead. food as good or better than the keg, price is the same, but the service is 1000 times better!!

went with another couple for supper and enjoyed a very nice experience. the service was above average, the steaks were quite good as were the seafood dishes i'm told. overall, a really nice meal. only small sticking point is the cost.

my partner and i decided to go here to try something new. the environment is nice but the service was not good what so ever. of all the seats to place us,they put us in the far,far very back corner literally. it took about 30 mins just to get our glass of water. then after finally receiving our water and finally getting to place our order the food took 45-50mins to get to us.@ when the food arrived it was okay just okay, it definitely did not make up for the wait and poor service. not to mention there were two tables that came in after us not only did they recieve the drinks immediately and food before us. we did not feel welcomed as paying customers, i don't want to throw the race card out there but i definitely felt it. i will not be returning.

i always enjoy coming to the keg just because the food is always good and what i expect it to be. the price and portion sizes are an issue but that's what you have to accept if you are going to this restaurant. a favourite of mine is the teriyaki steak and that has always been good and cooked perfectly to my preference. the service is always good and it has always been an enjoyable experience.

the saving grace for this place are the appetizers. although they are still over priced! i think the reason people think the keg has good food is because of the big price tag. more money does not equal more flavour! anything other than the steaks are not good, salmon is over cooked. the chefs always overcook my steak too. the keg is just frustrating at best.
