the keg steakhouse + bar -- saskatoon

noisy but good. steaks are great but it is a noisy, busy restaurant. fun place to go with a group but for anicedinner for 2, there are nicer restaurants in saskatoon.

went with another couple for supper and enjoyed a veryniceexperience. the service was above average, the steaks were quite good as were the seafood dishes i'm told. overall, a reallynicemeal. only small sticking point is the cost.

my partner and i decided to go here to try something new. the environment isnicebut the service was not good what so ever. of all the seats to place us,they put us in the far,far very back corner literally. it took about 30 mins just to get our glass of water. then after finally receiving our water and finally getting to place our order the food took 45-50mins to get to us.@ when the food arrived it was okay just okay, it definitely did not make up for the wait and poor service. not to mention there were two tables that came in after us not only did they recieve the drinks immediately and food before us. we did not feel welcomed as paying customers, i don't want to throw the race card out there but i definitely felt it. i will not be returning.

so fun to visit. one of my most favorite places to go eat at! everytime, i visit, i never leave dissapointed. the food is always great, the atmosphere is also great, and the service is also great! looking for anicemeal out? definately try the keg place ville marie, will not be dissapointed!

it is crazy expensive for food! okay, the good is good but you can get the same quaility of food maybe even better elsewhere for cheaper price. this is not a "must go" type of place. if you want to blow a big chunk of your earnings for anicedinner or late night out, go for it. other than that, this place is kind of ridiculously priced. service is excellent. we had such anicewaiter. (probably because he gets a good paycheck).

consistently excellent. we go to the keg about once a month and it is always delicious. the steaks are always cooked the same and always great, as is the rest of the menu. the servers are always veryniceand attentive. if there's a wait we usually just eat at the bar and can get a seat there within 10 minutes, even on the busiest nights. meals always come quickly and we've been in and out within 45 minutes when we needed to be.
best place to go for a consistently excellent meal.

surprised howniceit was!. i went for the first time for a dinner function and it was all lovely. the food was good, though the salad dressing had little taste. the service was great and the only complaint i would have was that it was noisy, though i would return.

make sure you book a reservation before you go or you will have to wait at least 30 minutes for a table. i loved the keg! the atmosphere is veryniceand so is the staff! the food is delicious!! i ordered french onion soup, teriyaki chicken with mashed potato (best i've ever had) and billy miner pie for desert. yes it's expensive, but worth every penny. if you haven't been to the keg, you must go!

amazing honey bbq ribs!. me and my fiance went there for dinner and we received amazing service! the waitress was upbeat, veryniceand cheering. she made our evening fun. if i was to recommend a drink it would be the miami haze! best drink ever! and for a meal i would def recommend the honey bbq ribs. we had a beautiful fun filled experience there and i would go back there plenty more times. def worth the money!

best appies. the spinach dip is so good. i really like the chicken fingers and fries when im in the lounge. they serve it with a curry mayo and sweet and sour. its a reallynicecombo!! i love their dinner entrees too. i do miss those thursday triple nights in the lounge!!!

we use the keg to celebrate special days at times, but i can't figure out why they cannot cook a steak properly. i ordered it med well and got med rare. the appts with lobster were great, even the veggies and potatoes with the main were perfect. the service was wonderful as he corrected it by offering us dessert.nicework! quick side note: i'm tired of people addressing the costs issue. they pay their staff, wash your plates, pay for the napkins you use, pay rent and the list goes on so if you think it's expensive then have a mcrib!

keg not what it once was. food mediocre with meat unmemorable. small portions and expensive additions tyo form a full meal.niceambience but suited to yuppies who need to spend triple with no care for taste or memorable flavour.

always full and satisfied. the keg never dissapoints when it comes to anicewell cooked steak. be ready to shell out about a good 50-60 dollars if you plan on ordering appetizer, entre, and wine tho. for the price and taste i'd give it a 7/10, but since the quality and service is so consistent 8/10 is a more accurate rating.

prime rib ? why the change?. the keg has changed the prime rib. not the same as before. the cut is not the same. used to be verynicepresentation ,not anymore.

best fillet mignon in town!. veryniceatmosphere, friendly staff, great food. i ordered a 10oz fillet mignon, and it turned out to be the best piece of meat iv'e ever had. cooked exactly how i asked for it, very tender, and came wrapped in lean bacon. the rice pilaf that came with it wasnicetoo. my starter was a mushroom dish that was absolutely delicious. my brother ordered a full rack of ribs, and said they were about as good as tony roma's. i stole some of his bbq rib sauce and put it on my fillet mignon.... amazing! the waitress never let our ice tea reach the bottom of the glass, and was very friendly, despite the fact that every single table in the building was full, and there were about 20 people waiting for tables in the lobby. the food was still fast and fresh. after tip, my meal was about 57 dollars... which is alot to some, but keep in mind i'm a heavy tipper and i had an appetizer. my brothers meals were less. overall, i loved the restraunt and plan on going again.
