good, consistent food.. yes, the keg is overpriced. i would not argue that at all. that being said, we always enjoy our food and know what we are getting and what we will be paying.
if you have not been before, they bring you warm sourdough bread to start, which really can fill you up. no matter how much i tell myself i am not touching the bread(i am a small eater and get full super easy), i just can not leave it alone! the mushrooms neptune would be the number one reason i go. they are the best stuffed mushrooms i have ever had and are always the same so we can count on them. the bread that comes with them however are confusing......dried out little hunks of ick. not sure why they are served with it when you already have warm fresh sourdough. those are not hard to ignore and not eat. the tempura beans and asparagus are also very good. my spouse liked the iceburg wedge salad so much i have been making it at home. bacon wrapped scallops are pretty standard but well cooked and tasty. same with french onion soup-not mnd altering but good.
for entrees we generally stick to steak and lobster. i wish they would bring back their sweet potato fries, they are so good. they came with a rosemary dipping sauce that motivated return visits. all thesteaksare good, i stick with tenderloin for the most part. they are a chain so held hostage by the franchisor but i do wish they could put the tenderloin with the surf and turf rather than just a new york. you can make a custom meal with add ons but you will be paying thru the nose.
if you want a good steak with some excellent starters, this is a safe bet with consistently good food. good wine list and great service.

good if a bit pricey. took my son here for his 20th birthday, i had called ahead to ask if they could do something (cake with sparklers etc) and again reminded when we arrived ahead of my son. nothing was done. so that was a disappointment. that aside, we did have a reservation but it was pretty quiet that night and would not have been a wait. our waiter was very good and attentive. we had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetiser, soooo good, i do not know how they get them so creamy but they really are spectacular-not sure why they serve them with the 2 little hunks of dried out buns though, those are truly horrible. the warm sourdough is consistently good. my son had the steak with half lobster and said it was very good, although i should have warned him you really don't get much meat in the half lobster, the full tail would have been a better choice. i had the blue cheese filet, which was amazing. there was so much of the blue cheese topping i shared with my spouse who had the sirloin dinner. both guys had baked potatoes, not rocket science but the keg does a good potato. i had the garlic mashed which were very good, especially with the au jus i requested. we go about once a year, maybe more if we have an occasion and want something reliable. prices are pretty high, i had a glass of wine and my son had 2 coronas so the bill was around $150 with tip.
